Breast cancer is still often seen as something that affects older women—but that picture is changing. Younger women juggling careers, relationships, and major life decisions are now being diagnosed with breast cancer. According to a study by the Breast Cancer Foundation Singapore called, “A Study in Pink: Young Women & Breast Cancer’, many young women already know that breast health matters. The gap now seems to be turning that knowledge into action — whether it’s going for regular checks, doing self-examinations, or simply knowing what signs to look out for. On The Agenda, Hongbin Jeong speaks to Jacob Soo, CEO, Breast Cancer Foundation Singapore to learn what is holding younger women back from going for breast health screenings, and how we can turn that awareness into taking preventive action.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

1. A Costly Existence 2. A Learned Mindset 3. A God-Honoring Behavior The sermon presents a biblically grounded vision of godly womanhood found in Titus 2:3–5, emphasizing that young women are called to a costly, intentional, and God-honoring life centered on loving their husbands, nurturing their children, and being devoted keepers at home. This calling is not natural but requires a transformed mindset: sober, discreet, and learned through the faithful teaching of older women who model Christ-like submission and sacrificial love. The preacher underscores that this identity as wife and mother is not demeaning but dignified, reflecting the relationship between Christ and His church, and is essential to preserving the integrity and witness of the gospel. The sermon warns against the devaluing influence of feminism and calls the church to uphold sound doctrine, not out of legalism, but as a means of honoring God and ensuring that the Word of God is not blasphemed through silence or compromise. Ultimately, the life of self-giving love, though demanding, is portrayed as the highest expression of Christian discipleship and the source of lasting joy and divine blessing.

You may have heard in the news that younger women are being diagnosed with breast cancer at higher rates than before. While women under 40 only account for 4% of breast cancer cases in the U.S., even a modest rise in breast cancer incidence is a call to action for young women to understand their personal risk and to know what's normal for their breasts so they can be aware of any changes that should be reported to a health care provider. Joining us on the show today is Dr. Virginia Borges, a medical oncologist at the University of Colorado, whose research focuses on young women's breast cancer. Dr. Borges is committed to finding answers and today will share what is being studied, as well as how young women can be empowered to take charge of their breast health early.
Discipleship That Reflects Sound Doctrine (Titus 2)In this episode, we explore Titus 2, where Paul outlines a vision for discipleship that reflects the beauty of sound doctrine. God's grace not only saves us—it shapes us. From older men and women to the younger generation and even into the workplace, this chapter shows how every stage of life is an opportunity to adorn the gospel through godliness. Whether you're teaching, mentoring, working, or waiting for Christ's return, you are called to reflect the transforming power of grace. We walk through three key sections:God's Design for Discipleship – Discipleship is gendered, generational, and gospel-shaped.Discipleship on Display in the Workplace – Godliness is evident even under pressure or injustice.Living in Light of God's Grace – Grace not only saves but sanctifies and prepares us for the return of Christ. This episode challenges each listener to ask: Am I reflecting the gospel in the way I live, serve, and disciple others?Discipleship varies by stage of life and gender, but it's always shaped by sound doctrine.Older Men & Women – Called to live reverent, self-controlled, and faith-filled lives that model maturity.Younger Women & Men – Encouraged to love their families, be pure and self-controlled, and live in a way that upholds the gospel's reputation. The goal: live in a way that silences critics and points others to Christ.Godly character should shine at work through submission, respect, honesty, and integrity. Our conduct at work should adorn the doctrine of our Savior—making the gospel attractive by our actions.God's grace has appeared to all people—saving and sanctifying us.Grace teaches us to say “no” to ungodliness and to wait in hope for Christ's return.Jesus redeemed us to be a people zealous for good works. This grace must be proclaimed boldly—with truth, love, and authority. How does your life reflect the gospel to those around you?Are you investing in others through discipleship? Is your daily living shaped by grace and pointing others to the Savior?“...so that in everything they may adorn the teaching of God our Savior.” – Titus 2:10b
