Adam Levy brings over 25 years of diverse legal experience to the bench, serving as one of three judges on Prime Video's Tribunal Justice, created by Judge Judy Sheindlin. Podcast Highlights: • Levy talks about being part of a legal dynasty, including his mother, Judge Judy Sheindlin • Levy discusses how the "rule of law" applied at home • Levy shares the importance his mother's work ethic had on his professional development • Levy shares a funny story of how his mother accepted a job on his behalf early in his career • Levy shares his passionate views on the importance of truth and his disgust for those who blatantly lie • As a young attorney, Levy would learn by reading transcripts of cases that reflected the work of the best possible lawyers, prosecutors and criminal defense lawyers • Levy discusses the instances where he and the other two Tribunal Justice judges disagree • Levy shares his loathing for situations where various legal professionals don't play by the rules, especially when one of those involved seems more concerned about their own political aspirations • Levy explains his views on the classification of public documents as well as conspiracy theorists and the value of critical thinking Having served two terms as Putnam County District Attorney in NY, Levy used his experience as a private practitioner to create pragmatic and impactful programs and initiatives to improve the fair and impartial administration of justice in the county where he lived, worked, and raised his family. This hands-on approach included extensive in-service training for all newly hired prosecutors and an open-door policy for his staff. Leading by example, Levy personally prosecuted a wide range of criminal cases, including sexual assaults, political corruption, and witness intimidation matters. Levy also dedicated time to training the next generation of lawyers as well. He was an instructor at The National Institute of Trial Advocacy and a long-time educator at The New York Prosecutors Training Institute. These trainings helped lead, guide, and mentor young prosecutors in cross-examination and trial strategy skills as they began their legal careers. Levy's expertise was built through a lifetime of legal service. As a 1992 Hofstra Law School graduate, Levy began his career as an ADA at the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office, where he prosecuted a wide range of violent and non-violent offenders with a practice focused on seeking justice for women and children who were the victim of physical and sexual assault—He then co-founded his legal partnership, Levy & Santoro, in Carmel, NY. He brought his trial experience from Suffolk County to the people of Putnam County, handling complex criminal and matrimonial matters in courts throughout New York State. Levy's no-nonsense approach to cases and reputation as a skilled trial attorney and advocate ultimately led to his election as District Attorney in Putnam County, where he lived with his family. His daughter, Sarah Rose, a newly admitted lawyer, is the law clerk on "Judy Justice," where his mother, judicial icon Judge Judy Sheindlin, presides. Levy and his wife Lori have two other children, Jacob and Emma, who are still in school. In his spare time, he enjoys skiing, scuba diving, white water rafting, and spending time with his family. Not long ago, Steven Petrow experienced one of the worst years of his life. He lost both his parents, separated from his husband, and learned that his sister had metastatic cancer. He began to question: how can one find joy during incredibly difficult times? Award-winning Washington Post columnist Petrow explains that joy is not only around us, but within us. He examines this and so much more in his much-anticipated book "The Joy You Make: Find the Silver Linings--Even on Your Darkest Days." Steven Petrow is an award-winning journalist and author who is best known for his Washington Post and New York Times essays on aging, health, and civility. He's a contributor to NPR and other news outlets and his TED Talk, "Three Ways To Practice Civility," has garnered nearly two million views. Petrow is the author of six previous books, including the bestselling "Stupid Things I Won't Do When I Get Old." He's North Carolina's 2024 Piedmont Laureate and lives in Hillsborough, North Carolina. In his latest book, he explores the many expressions of joy and shows readers how to find, cultivate, and share it. Combining his personal experiences with research and expert interviews, Petrow asks (and answers) the question: "What if there was a way to find the joy in everything?" The connection between joy and grief are inseparable. Joy is present everywhere; it takes practice, we need to shift our mindset and we need to understand better to experience it. Hardly recognizable from one character to the next, Alanna Ubach has starred in over 150 theater, film and television projects, including the Peabody Award-winning "Men of a Certain Age", the Oscar-winning "Coco" as Mama Imelda, the family's matriarch, and critically acclaimed "Euphoria" as "Suze." She was nominated for a SAG award for her performance as Jeanine Pirro in "Bombshell" and noted by the New York Times as "a seriously talented actress" to "keep your eye on." Her most recent role is Ted, the television series from Seth MacFarlene. She plays Susan Bennett. The plot reads, “It's 1993, and Ted the bear's moment of fame has passed. He's living back home with his best friend, John Bennett, and his family. While Ted may be a lousy influence on John, he's a loyal pal who will go out on a limb for friendship.” In this interview, we talk about comedic influences, character actors that inspired her work, why she never wanted to play herself, what she's most known for, the comfort she gets from acting and why there's nothing more exhilarating that earning a crowd's laugh. You hear me but are you listening? Listening, despite its deceptively simple appearance, is a labyrinthine art fraught with complexity. In an era dominated by digital distractions and the cacophony of modern life, our attention flits restlessly from one stimulus to another, rendering the act of focused listening an elusive endeavor. The true challenge lies not only in hearing words but deciphering the unspoken emotions, hidden intentions, and nuanced subtext beneath them. Our preconceived notions, biases, and the relentless noise of our own inner monologue often serve as formidable barriers, blocking the path to genuine understanding. In a world where speaking is celebrated and silence is often uncomfortable, the task of truly listening demands a mastery that only the most patient and empathetic souls can aspire to attain. Join us for an electrifying episode of The Coffee with Rhonda Show on Thursday, September 28th, 2023! ☕ Prepare to have your cup filled to the brim with inspiration, revelation, and wit as we delve into a fascinating topic: "Listening for Non-Listeners." This promises to be a game-changer for today's savvy leaders and anyone looking to enhance their communication skills.

Basically, Susan Bennett is a musician! The voice work, speaking, acting and SIRI came later. She was playing the piano by ear by the age of 4, took classical piano lessons for many years, and ended up singing in her first band, "Conglomerate" during her years at Brown University. Susan went on to sing and play keyboards in clubs and restaurants in Atlanta, GA, where she moved in 1972 and still lives. She also did hundreds of commercial jingles (famously, Tillie the All-Time Teller for the first successful ATM in the US) and she sang backup vocals on tour with Burt Bacharach and Roy Orbison. Susan got into voiceover work at Doppler Studios in Atlanta when the voice actor hired for a particular commercial didn't show up, and studio owner Pete Caldwell suggested she do the spot instead. Bam! She got a whole new career! Susan ended up doing spots for Coca Cola, IBM, Papa John's Pizza, McDonald's, AT&T, Wendy's, Goodyear, Ford, Chiquita, etc., for both radio and TV. She also worked on camera for Morrison's, Ford, GA Pacific, IBM, Kimberly Clark, etc. Of course, being the original voice of Siri started a whole new chapter in her life. After she revealed herself as the original voice in 2013, she did hundreds of interviews, appeared on numerous TV shows, and once again began a whole new career—doing speaker events! Join us in a conversation with Susan Bennett Fisher and Martin Fisher about the BODY of 9 comprehensive body-based Identification system to better understand yourself and others. Are you a Coach or a Holistic Practitioner? We have more for you! Click here! Like Myer's Briggs, the Enneagram, or other personality identification systems Body of 9 enables you to better understand who you are and what your strengths and skills are. Body of 9 differs in that it is body-based – it is the shape, tone, and energy of your body that tells you which of the “types” you are. Body of 9 enables you to consciously develop and use the wisdom, strength and power that is embedded in your body. Natural Number Identification provides a deep acknowledgment of who you are. It shines a light on the innate power that comes with your body. It explains the differences between you and your family and provides a new opportunity for understanding and connection. It launches you on a pathway of discovery where you learn to lead and be from your most authentic self. It's so much more powerful than a personality assessment because it comes from your body, and provides actionable access to positive strengths and skills. https://bodyof9.com/how-it-works/ @The Liberated Healer #spiritualpodcast #podcast #spirituality #spiritualawakening #podcastersofinstagram #meditation #spiritualjourney #spiritualpodcasts #spiritualgrowth #spiritual #selflove #podcasting #lightworker #podcastlife #podcastsofinstagram #podcaster #astrologypodcast #astrology #manifestation #intuition #healing #podcasters #spiritualguidance #awakening #mentalhealth #enlightenment #spirit #soulpreneur #spiritualdevelopment #podcastinglife Learn more about your ad choices. You've always gotta try to figure out the positive end of things because if you hang onto that negative thing, the only person that hurts is you. It doesn't hurt anybody else." "The best coaches have coaches. In fact, if you're hiring a coach that isn't being coached, do not hire that person." "It's important to keep your head in a positive place as much as possible because we are surrounded by a lot of negativity. And unfortunately, that's a big part of the media. SO MUCH HAPPENING THIS WEEK!We were delayed a day because the guys had a special, In-Lounge, guest host this week! Richie, from Super Media Bros, visited with Sam in person! Visiting family in Ohio, he made a memorable trip to hang out!Conversation with Richie had many different topics, from working in the refuse industry, becoming nose blind to MANY odors, etc. Still, another reason this episode was so special was because of the guest who came in to hang out... SUSAN BENNETT!Do you know who Susan is, before looking at this week's cover art? Many won't! She is the "Original Voice of Siri!"Susan jumps right into the Siri talk, and tells the story of "being Siri." There was a process to get words to sound like they were being said in a flowing sentence. How about other gigs while being Siri? Was it tough to go public that she was, in fact, Siri? What made her go public?Susan had, and has, a life outside of being the original voice of the virtual assistant revolution... and THAT is story enough to be entertaining!Susan was a fabulous guest! We now consider her a FRIEND OF THE LOUNGE... there really should be a sticker or patch to wear for this moniker!During the closer, Sam asked, "If you are the answer to a Trivial Pursuit question, does that make you a pop-culture icon?" The conversation on that is VERY interesting. One of our favorite episodes is 131! Such an engaging conversation with BOTH our guest-host and our guest! To say this one was fun... yeah, that wouldn't do this episode justice! We're going to let you decide! My guest, Melissa Davey changed careers at 65 and become a documentary filmmaker. For more than two decades she worked at https://www.genexservices.com/ (GENEX Services Inc.,) where she was recruited to build and operate the company's Social Security representation division. Prior to GENEX, Melissa had almost twenty years of diversified experience in the field of disability. Her second act is fueled by a lifelong passion for film and story-telling. Her film, https://www.beyondsixtyproject.com/ (Beyond Sixty,) is a documentary feature film about women over the age of 60. The film features the https://www.beyondsixtyproject.com/all (stories of 9 women,) ordinary in the way we all are and just as interesting. They include https://www.slashgear.com/780287/this-is-the-real-voice-behind-siri/ (Susan Bennett, the original voice of Siri,) the Madam CJ Walker biographer, https://www.beyondsixtyproject.com/paula-yankauskas (Paula Yankauskas,)who, in September 2016, became the oldest U.S. woman to swim the English Channel. To name just a few. “From a very early age women are made to believe that our relevance has an expiration date. My goal with the film is to show the power of resilience and the wisdom of experience we bring to the table. I created Beyond Sixty to challenge the way we think about aging and the value of our own stories.” We talked about how young people see us—some told Melissa they were tired of the stereotypes of aging women as irrelevant, feeble, unhappy—and how we see ourselves and others our age. It's not always pretty! Do you think you're too old to follow your big dream?... I asked Melissa if this felt like a really big leap. “Yeah, it was a big leap. However, my whole life has taken a kind of circuitous route at all times. Mainly because I'm so curious about things. So, I will change it up here and there and try new things. But never anything this drastically different.”How our perception of things changes “There comes this sense of self, which is a much deeper as you get older. Fear is lessened. It's not that it's not there. You don't want to fail. The fear, just it lessens somehow and it's manageable and you almost like expect it to be there. And it's like, okay, come on fear we're going to go try something else now.I wondered how much she had to sell her idea, herself as an unknown film maker, etc. “I really didn't have to pitch too much, which surprised me. I was just myself. And with the women that I brought in knew I'd never made a film before.” The cool thing about the production company “The three owners of this production company in Philly were three very young men. And I was referred to them just to have the conversation, to see if they could point me in the right direction. They were like, what a great idea. We want to hear these stories. These were 28, 30 year old guys. So that was exciting.”Who says we can't get along with the younger gens. Some of my takeaways · You really are never too old to make your dream come true · Aging does not diminish a person's ability to be relevant and contribute · Everyone's story has the power to help someone else at any age Find The Beyond Sixty project https://www.instagram.com/beyond60project/ (on Insta) and https://www.facebook.com/BeyondSixtyProject/ (Facebook) If one of your goals is to age in great health, looking like the fabulon you are inside, laughing and loving all the way then start with my https://rebelliouswellnessover50.com/power5/ (Power of 5 mini email workshop). All a woman needs to stay—or get—fit, healthy, sassy and sane. And if you're at that tipping point called peri-menopause, you might be interested in my book,...

Melissa Davey retired from a lengthy corporate career at the end of 2015 to pursue her second act and her dream of becoming a filmmaker, which she made a reality when she completed her film Beyond Sixty. It's a feature length documentary about women over the age of 60 who have lived remarkable lives and have remarkable and inspiring stories to share with the rest of us.Her life-long love of film, reading about how films are made, seeing as many films as she could, put her in a position to take advantage of an opportunity that came her way, when she was the highest charity auction bidder for a day on a film set with director M. Night Shyamalan. His question to her, “What do you really want to do?” set in motion a new chapter in her life when she decided to leave her long-time corporate job and become a filmmaker. Topics include:Facing the fear of making a big life changeHer practice of Life Layering through her interest in all aspects of film prepared her for this momentTaking a self-inventoryHow taking a detour led her to meet M. Night Shyamalan, who asked her the question that would change her lifeHer film, Beyond Sixty, and three of the women profiled in the film, including Susan Bennett, the original voice of Siri; Peggy Bradnick Jackson, who has turned her traumatic abduction as a teenager into a plea for mental illness awareness; and A'lelia Bundles, the great great granddaughter and biographer of Madam C.J. Walker, the first Black woman millionaire. Her next projectMelissa Davey, age 71, retired from a lengthy corporate career at the end of 2015. Pursuing her dream of becoming a filmmaker became a reality in late 2018 when Melissa completed her first film, Beyond Sixty Project, a feature length documentary about women over the age of sixty. During 2019 Melissa's film was accepted by and screened at 8 film festivals throughout the United States and Canada, winning awards and confirming that it is truly never too late to learn something new. The film was picked up by a distributor in late 2020 and was released in Spring, 2021.Resources:Beyond Sixty Project

Today you and I sit down with the original voice of Siri. Starting in 2011 she was the voice we all became acquainted with, a voice that needed to be “otherworldly with a sense of humor” according to the original engineers. Our guest is Susan Bennett. Susan's first love was music -- learning to play the piano by ear. She's also a vocalist and played in a number of bands. Her winding career brought her gigs singing jingles before she dabbled in voiceover work, for which she was a natural. She became the voice of “Tillie”, the first automated teller in Atlanta, and she's the voice at Delta departure gates all over the world. She's done prominent voiceover work for Disney, IBM, AT&T and many, many others. After she came out as Siri in 2013 she did the morning show and late show circuit, including a hilarious run-in with David Letterman, and eventually ended up on stage with a speaking career, including a TED talk. She also landed gigs singing backup for Burt Bacharach and Roy Orbison, who have 11 Grammy's between them. Her story is awesome. Her career is cool. And she sat down with us, to tell us all about it. She obtained her degree in Mathematical Economics from Brown University, and her MBA/MA in Finance and International Management from the Lauder Institute at the Wharton School of Business. She then pursued a career in management consulting, high-tech marketing, finance and operations in Silicon Valley. Despite her achievements, this career did not feed Susan's need for a deeper knowing of her purpose, nor did it yield any real sense of fulfillment. When Susan's Natural Number 6 was first activated at the Coaches Training Institute's Leadership Program in 2002, she knew she had found her purpose. She has continued as a pioneer in the study and research into the 9 Natural Numbers, which has led to many new discoveries and a deeper understanding of the importance, power and impact of Body of 9. An experienced speaker and teacher, Susan is on-staff at the Esalen Institute in Big Sur, CA and has presented at events and conferences around the world, including Burning Man, the Spoken Word Stage, Envision Conference in Norway, and the Montana Mind, Body, Soul Conference. Body of 9 is Susan's true calling and passion and she has dedicated her life to understanding and teaching about this extraordinary discovery.
