The Vikings' 2023 draft class received mixed reviews from experts, and the team is already scouting top quarterback prospects for the 2024 NFL draft. In the latest episode of "The Real Forno Show", Tyler talks about the beginning of phase three of Organized Team Activities. He wonders what can we get from these practices and what he is most looking forward to seeing. However, the debate about who the best quarterback between Daunte Culpepper and Kirk Cousins was re-ignited by PFF's Sam Monson and Steve Palozzolo on an episode of the PFF NFL Podcast. It's a difficult conversation to have, but one that needs to happen. Who is better and why is it Culpepper? Luke Inman weighs in with a comparison of the two quarterbacks. According to Inman, Cousins has 18 more touchdowns, 800 more yards, 4 more 4th quarter comebacks, 36 less interceptions, 34 less fumbles, better QBR and has won 8 more games with a winning percentage of .582 compared to Culpepper's .475. In conclusion, based on Inman's comparison, Kirk Cousins is the better quarterback between the two. Will Ragatz, writer for Sports Illustrated, also agrees that the choice is clear and it's Culpepper. The reporters, analysts, and fans disagree. Who do think is the better QB? He discusses Brian Flores' task of making the Vikings' defense respectable, as well as the attendance of Danielle Hunter and Dalvin Cook at OTA practices. He also talks about competition at cornerback, with Byron Murphy Jr. playing the outside corner in base and inside nickel, and an open competition for the other two starting spots. Finally, Zulgad discusses Kevin O'Connell's work with his offense, including the expected departure of Cook and the move towards a running back by committee approach. Tyler Forness delves into the Vikings' draft haul rankings and the ongoing debate between Daunte Culpepper and Kirk Cousins as the best quarterback for the team. Furthermore, he discusses ESPN's Football Power Index projections for the Vikings, which gives them a 29% chance of winning the NFC North. Finally, Forness talks about Davante Adams' praise for Justin Jefferson. Adams called Jefferson the best wide receiver in the league outside of himself or the 1b. to his 1a. This praise from such a highly-regarded receiver could be a boost to Jefferson's confidence and a sign of his growing reputation around the league.
