Smokey joins Tom once more on the Banned Biographies Podcast for the second episode recounting tales from the diary Tom kept while touring around Europe with Sham 69.This episode covers the last seven gigs in the same number of days of the tour, more highs, lows, malfunctioning equipment, as well as continuing to meet amazing people in amazing venues and incredible bands. However, the spectre of the war in Ukraine reared its head a number of times in this last half of the tour. I met Poles, Russians and Ukrainians all suffering in some way as well as a Columbian with a similar story of escaping from a civil war only to be told by the German government that all is well and he may have to go back to his home country, despite the fact that all is still not well there. It's been a weird month for celebrity casualties what with Kevin Smith's heart attack and the passing of Ken Dodd, Jim Bowen and Stephen Hawking. Lots of Marvel talk again as Ant got to see Black Panther, Jessica Jones series two has started (a conversation prompted by a live text exchange between Tom and Smokey of Rated H), the second Trailer for Avengers: Infinity War dropped. Ant also started watching DC's Netflix series, Black Lightning. It's been a weird month for celebrity casualties what with Kevin Smith's heart attack and the passing of Ken Dodd, Jim Bowen and Stephen Hawking. The show ends on the very British problem of how you take your cream tea (ooh err missus!), Devon or Cornwall. A wonderful time was had by all and even though it was a 12 hour marathon of a meet up we weren't made to feel like we'd over stayed our welcome. The guys then get into the nitty-gritty of podcasting, Tom talks about re-watching Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and the diminishing returns films like this can have, Ant saw It in the cinema and gives a non-spoilery review, as well as more non-spoilery reviews of Marvel's latest Netflix series, The Defenders and the now quite old video game, Life is Strange.
