Peterson speaks powerfully about meaning, morality, and myth... but is he preaching the Gospel? Or have many believers been intellectually flattered into embracing psychology over theology?

Well, officially Kickstarter hadn't started yet. It would be another four years before that happened. However, I ran the Kickstarter in a very similar way. I set different levels and ended up raising over $10,000 to fund the album. Admittedly, that was not all profit. In fact, I had far higher expenses back then because I didn't know how to run a fundraising campaign back then. Nevertheless, it was a huge success and I was able to order 1000 copies of this CD. I think I've printed over 3000 copies of this CD since it was released. But of course, now it is no longer available on CD with me at least. It's only available as a digital download or on an album pin. On June 6, 2005, I released the second episode of the Cat Lovers Podcast to fund this album. Here's a re-release of that podcast episode. 11:56 - CAT MUSIC LOVERS #2: “WHEN KITTY EYES ARE SMILING”, CATS STUCK IN DRAWERS (REBOOT) A tabby cat stuck in the dresser drawers A letter to Torre from Anthony Creech of Celtic Radio Keeping cats indoors Cat Galaxy, All Cats! Through clear, biblical teaching and personal insight, Will exposes how poor religious practices can distort the gospel and weigh down believers with shame, fear, and obligation. But the message doesn't stop there. This sermon shifts gears into the liberating truth of the resurrection and the arrival of the New Creation. What does it actually mean to be a Christian? What does true loyalty to Christ look like beyond rules, checklists, or cultural Christianity? If you've ever felt disillusioned by religion or burdened by trying to “earn” your place with God, this sermon offers hope, clarity, and the freedom found in the risen Jesus.

One is accused of stabbing a fellow teen. The other was caught on video using a racial slur. Both have sparked viral outrage—but is our culture learning, or just unraveling? In this video, we explore these events through a Christian lens—looking beyond race, revenge, and rage to uncover the real issue: the loss of human dignity rooted in the image of God. We'll show how modern tribalism, selective outrage, and media-driven division are tearing apart our families, confusing our kids, and distracting us from the only solution that brings real justice: the gospel of Jesus Christ. Nothing beats the thundering energy and human drama that unfolds across the surface of an automotive racetrack. Photographers who specialize in this adrenaline-fueled niche are best served by nerves of steel and the high endurance to lug multiple cameras and the long lenses needed to freeze the action. In today's show, we plunge headfirst into what it takes to cover the many facets of auto racing with two of the finest professionals in the field, photographers Camden Thrasher and Jamey Price. From stories of unexpected hurdles to access when scouting an unfamiliar course to the mix of visual stimulation and extreme exhaustion that accompanies a 24-hour endurance race, our chat is full of real-world insights. We also discuss the gear these photographers rely on and the wear and tear that comes with hard core use. And for listeners who've always wanted to try their hand at motor sports photography, Jamey Price shares some parting advice. “You don't build a portfolio by getting credentials,” he says. “You build a portfolio by going to races as a fan, bringing your camera, and making cool pictures from fan areas. Tell stories, do something different.” Guests: Camden Thrasher & Jamey Price Episode Timeline: 3:46: Jamey's start as a jockey and making comparisons between photographing horse racing and motorsports 8:29: Camden's early start attending auto races, then discovering photography through exploring his father's film camera as a cool mechanical device. 10:25: Both photographers share their trajectory from starting out as a motor sports photographer to making it into a career. 18:04: A race day timeline and the many variables involved in motor sports photography. 27:28: Camaraderie & competition between photographers working the circuit, etiquette when shooting, and the importance of individual style. 37:24: The thrill of endurance racing and how photographing these 24-hour-long races differs from other types of motor sporting events. 43:38: Episode Break 45:10: Camden and Jamey's go-to camera gear, the long lenses they lug, plus how often they use manual focus, especially when panning through people or trees. 54:50: Getting otherworldly visuals when faced with adverse weather conditions or unique atmospheric effects, despite the physical challenges. 59:15: Wear and tear on camera gear due to the unfriendly environment at the track, plus using broken gear or common objects for creative visual effects. 1:056:08: Camera settings and creative techniques when panning, plus accounting for variables of relative distance combined with motion and speed to achieve a desired result. 1:16:27: Camden & Jamey discuss the use of their motor sports photos and licensing their images to clients. 1:24:13: Parting advice to fans interested in becoming a credentialed motor sport photographer—bring your camera to a race as a fan, and start making pictures! Guest Bios: Camden Thrasher is a motor sports photographer with a distinctive ability to capture unique scenes of fast action. Growing up in Vancouver, Washington, it was the sound of engines from a nearby racetrack that first drew him to motor sports. After becoming a fixture at the track with his camera during high school, Camden studied automotive design and engineering in college, expecting to work as an engineer or on a pit crew. But the money he was making as a side hustle with his camera convinced him to stick with photography, and he hasn't looked back since. Using a unique slow shutter speed method, perfected over many exposures, Camden revels in showcasing the abstract qualities of gleaming metal, bright lights, and dynamic action that are hallmarks of this sport. Now based out of Atlanta, Georgia, Camden's work has been commissioned by top racing teams and featured in a wide range of media, from print magazines to automotive branding campaigns. Jamey Price is an automotive photographer based in Charlotte, North Carolina, whose motor sports work has taken him to more than 25 countries, and across most of the continental US. Jamey's photography career began while he was competing as a thoroughbred horse racing jockey and exercise rider. During this time, he completed more than 50 races, notching 11 wins in the saddle. His life in horse racing was eventually compiled into the self-published book Chasing: Racing Life in England & Ireland. Yet, in 2011, Jamey's photography career switched from horses to horse-power. Since he began chasing race cars, his images have been published worldwide in magazines, distributed by sports imagery wire services, and featured by top commercial clients. Additionally, Jamey is a LEXAR Elite Artist, since 2014. #TCS #TheChurchSplit The Hodge Twins, self-proclaimed Christian conservatives, recently invited OF star Lily Phillips onto their podcast to flaunt her vulgar work, exposing their audience to the glorification of porn. Worse, they used the platform to slander the church, accusing all pastors and evangelicals of sexual immorality. This isn't just a betrayal of their faith—it's a sign conservatives are losing their way. In this video, we call out this reckless behavior and urge Christians to stop standing silent. When we tolerate this, we open the door to false teachers and grifters. It's time to denounce this nonsense and reclaim the integrity of our values. Watch now and join the conversation. Of the two biggest problems quantitative traders probably face, the first is over-optimization and the second is likely finding inspiration for new ideas. In-depth interviews with market wizards surely has to be one of the best ways to learn quickly, avoid common pitfalls and find untold amounts of inspiration hidden between the lines. Listening to experts that have been at it for decades, for me anyway, is an incredible education. In this show I invite you to again spend over an hour with Bob Pardo on the ins and outs of his trading, his philosophy and his edge. And the best bit is, this is just part 1 of 2. In the second part I'm going to deep-dive walk forward analysis with him and I'm sure I'll be walking away with some highly practical tips and tricks. Bob's career spans several decades of evolving market dynamics, groundbreaking system development, and a philosophy rooted in adaptability and robustness. His journey—from early days on the trading floor to pioneering walk forward analysis and working with the likes of Solomon Brothers, Dunn Capital, Daiwa Securities & Goldman Sachs—offers a compelling narrative for quantitative traders seeking both inspiration and technical insights.Intra-day Futures Traders and others - grab a chamomile tea and enjoy!www.thealgorithmicadvantage.com for contacts and more.

#TCS #TheChurchSplit Once, Capturing Christianity was a thriving YouTube channel dedicated to exploring the intellectual side of Christianity. Cameron Bertuzzi built a platform that welcomed deep conversations between Protestants, Catholics, and skeptics alike. His ecumenical approach exposed many to the richness of Christian thought, making his channel a go-to resource for those wrestling with faith and philosophy. However, after his conversion to Roman Catholicism, things took a drastic turn. Instead of continuing in the spirit of bridge-building, Cameron has increasingly focused on attacking Protestantism—the very tradition that built his audience and supported his work for years. As a result, many of his longtime followers feel alienated, leading to a decline in support and engagement. This is a cautionary tale: no matter how big you get, never forget those who helped you rise. Integrity matters, and when your message shifts from unity to division, even the strongest platforms can crumble. What do you think about Cameron's journey? Let's discuss in the comments. Mark Clavey sent this picture right after St Patrick's Day 2024: “Hi Marc! Here's our write - up for how we spent St Pat's at O'Malley's Pub... and a few pictures... "There was more March Madness for the band this past Sunday as we celebrated the Day of the Festival of St Patrick with a noon - performance at O'Malley's Pub(Episode 136). The day started around 10:00a as the band started straggling in and setting up. It was a brisk 40° when we loaded in, and would reach a balmy 48° when we loaded out at 4:30. Early - birds had already formed a line by 10:30 – despite the fact that the Pub wouldn't open until 11:30. (This plan was well - advised given the epic proportions of Snake Saturday's one - person - out/one - person - in crowd.) By the time the band started playing at noon, the bar was full and the crowd lively – being more vocal for the sing - alongs than they were for the toasts. There was a larger - than - usual number of Tullamore - fans than is typical for St Patrick's Day (as it was at lunchtime on a Sunday rather than a workday). Shout - outs to Mike, Amy, Anna, and Jason; Ray and Carrie; Eric and Dena; Eric, Linda, and Eleanor; Trey; Connie, Brandie and Rhonda; Shannon; Rob and Mitch; Andrew; Lisa, Craig, Ed, and Mary; Mikayla; and Jenn. Mark successfully navigated the afternoon notwithstanding the return of his chest - supercold (that knocked him out of the February weekend) and having sliced up the index - finger on his strumming hand. (Evidently, while holding a pick between the thumb and the bird - finger is a doable thing, it DOES produce a Charlie - horse at the base of the thumb when you do it for three hours straight.) Said navigation was aided with the Black Bush providing the kind of lubrication that makes your engine tick. We played until 3:30 before turning the stage over to The Kelihans – who would, in turn, hand off the stage to Chance the Arm at 8:00p. In the meantime, Ryan Rancudo and Bob Reeder handled the St Patrick's Day festivities for the audience in the upper cellar. Overall, it was a great afternoon and (we're assuming) a great night as well. (Photos courtesy of Amy Cripe, Mike Moran, and Mary Hanover.)" Best, - Mark”

Join us for a fascinating conversation with special guest Chris Peak of Panther-Lair as we look at, among other things the 180 turn on offense by head coach Pat Narduzzi. Instead of calling it a high octane offense we've decided to describe it as 'juiced'. Peak provides some thoughts on Heather Lyke (Pitt AD) being on the interview list for a vacancy at Northwestern before jumping in feet first to preview Pitt from top to bottom. The changes on offense (Kade Bell) and transfers will make a big difference in how the Panthers approach putting points on the board. Narduzzi When it comes to defense, there's some shrug your shoulders, we're not sure aspects that may take some time to address. The rule of thumb is to always watch carefully because, after all, this is the ACC and this conference is definitely a bag of tricks. Peak provides his thoughts on the schedule and just how far this team can go with the schedule. There's a lot of even-steven when you put Pitt and their opponents on a scale. But, as we've seen in the past, Pat Narduzzi always seems to get the Panthers on a roll. Subscribe, listen and like ACC Nation podcast, streaming radio and watch us on YouTube.
“Miss, can you handle this bus? - Oh, sure. It's like driving a really big Pinto.” We watched our favorite 90s action movie Speed, with our favorite 90s hunk Keanu Reeves this week on the podcast with our friend Adam J. Yeend. All of the greats are turning 30 this year (Interview with the Vampire, the Lion King, True Lies, and this Jan DeBont action classique is one of them. To say ‘They don't make ‘em like they used to' is an understatement. Sure a lot of boys growing up wanted to be Jack Craven (Reeves), the beefcake police officer saving citizens from terrorists, but we always wanted to be Annie (Sandra Bullock) behind the wheel of the bus. We fell in love with Keanu and Sandy here, and still has some of the most intense action films ever committed to film. We discuss the iconic supporting cast that includes Dennis Hopper's insane performance, Jeff Daniels in side-kick mode, and MTMUG treasure Beth Grant. Buckle up cause this episode is High Octane! That's when our Declaration of Independence was ratified by the Second Continental Congress establishing the United States of America as an independent country. The fight against tyranny is never complete. That was the lesson of January 6th in our country when a failed former president tried to usurp control of our country. Fortunately, he was defeated by law - abiding, just Americans. The threat is still here. So this week, we're celebrating Independence Day with Celtic music. The Celts also know what it means to be oppressed by tyrants. We have a whole slew of songs on the topic. Today, we're gonna share a small sampling of songs of independence and freedom by Celtic musicians. It's also officially Plastic Free July. You can help break free from the single - use plastic problem by refusing them in the month of July so we can have cleaner streets, oceans, and beautiful communities. Will you be part of the solution this month? If you are a Celtic musician or in a Celtic band, then please submit your band to be played on the podcast. You don't have to send in music or an EPK. Plastic Free July® is a global movement that helps millions of people be part of the solution to plastic pollution – so we can have cleaner streets, oceans, and beautiful communities. Will you be part of Plastic Free July by choosing to refuse single - use plastics? Today's show is an all - instrumental podcast episode. I have a lot of great music to share as well as a fascinating observation. In the past, it is the Celtic songs that were voted on the most for the Celtic Top 20. But I was looking at the last few weeks. And it's the Celtic tunes, the instrumentals, that are dominating your voting. That is fantastic. So keep those votes coming. But I guess that also means I should do a Celtic song episode in the coming weeks. I'd love to know what your favorite contemporary Celtic songs are. By that I mean, what original songs by Celtic musicians do you love the best? I have found several songs on this podcast that were covered by other Celtic artists. I might do a show like that in the future too. We shall see. But let me know your thoughts. Thanks also to our Executive Producers, author Rie Sheridan Rose (www.riewriter.com), and Richard Trest of the Middle Tennessee Highland Games & Celtic Festival (www.midtenngames.com) on Sept 7 - 8, 2024 at Sanders Ferry Park, Hendersonville. I often use March to dig through my own archives of Celtic music, and I celebrate long - distance with a great friend who is a Celtic jewelry maker I met at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival way more than a decade ago! I love the podcast, and can't remember right off the last new fav I heard on the podcast. In the last year or two I really got into Shane Henessey's guitar stuff—not sure if I heard it on your podcast or elsewhere. But I also pull out old favs. The Waterboys Room to Roam. Maybe not quite celtic, but a couple of the early bands had that flavor. And I'll put on some Great Big Sea—though sadly they aren't around anymore, Alan Doyle is still out there making music. And when I really feel the need to get up and dance, I thrown on some Natalie MacMaster. And then when I'm tired and need to get contemplative over a green beer (at least metaphorically green) I'll put on some Loreena McKennitt. And I can't begin to tell you how much great Celtic music you have turned me on to. Thank You! I'm looking forward to your St. Pat's month podcast! Stainte!” David Cullen emailed a photo: “Greetings from The Brogues in Townsville Australia Hope you had a great weekend, Marc.”
