By the way, if you're feeling like the summer left you overwhelmed and exhausted and you didn't have nearly enough fun,, you should definitely check that out. kortneyrivard.com/retreatIn this week's episode, I am diving into our processes and patterns - the way we do things. Some of our processes serve us well, and others, well... not so much. But it's so important to understand your processes and patterns and to be patient and compassionate toward yourself with them. They have been around for a long time and they came to be for a reason!!Once you understand your processes, you can course-correct and make little tweaks (question your limiting beliefs and Stories, etc) to better support you, but you can also soften and accept that a lot of your processes are just part of how you're wired. You can look at how you can work with them instead of against them.=== RESOURCES ===Please check out the information for RISE: The Live Retreat Experience HEREWelcome to the podcast! “What's happening in the world of people today?”   Let's face it; we live in a society marred by deepening divisions between political parties, caste systems, traditions, religious beliefs, and the like. And to be quite frank, something like this is unnecessary. It only creates conflict that then eventually snowballs into a pile of mess. Instead of banging heads together, why don't we focus on ourselves and give people room for growth? The fighting won't stop if we don't put an end to it.    In this solo session, Andre will dig deeper into the human dynamics, how we remove that divide and create a space where love, respect, and harmony prevail.    [3:13] There's a human dynamic inside us that needs to hang on to some belief. [6:11] “An unsolicited piece of advice attacks the spirit.” [9:13] How do we do things correctly and get the desired results?  [10:32] Believe what you want to believe. What's Considered Flexing? People say flexing is doing whatever you can to look good, but that doesn't explain why people who don't do anything to look good are considered flexing. It gets more complicated too, some people are considered "flexing" for being able to afford such and such, other people who can afford the same things aren't considered flexing at all. There's also this weird idea that flexing is about money and material goods, but in reality, most people who are considered flexing have nothing that others don't have. So what is the true definition of flexing? Join us in this episode as we try to find out what actually flexing is, especially on social media, and whether it's even wrong in the first place. During the episode, you will also hear more about Kim Kardashian's best advice for women, Pete Davidson's beef with Kanye, and Elon Musk's challenge to Putin.   Key Highlights [00:20] What's going on [01:30] Flex or No? Social Media in general is a huge flex. Anything you post, it's like, “I want people to see this.” A flex is anything that's above and beyond average. Because society has painted out to create average people. Resources Please help us by liking, sharing, and subscribing to our podcast if you enjoy this content.

There's lots of important news in the film world this week that the gang is going to tackle and break down for you, many of which have implications for the future of the art of filmmaking.  In this episode, we talk about... How Paramount is restructuring - the Chairman and CEO is being replaced. The new CEO has an interesting story, having ascended from being a child actor in the 90s to a director, to this current position. How Paramount has joined “The Streaming Wars” and is trying to create more content for their digital platform to get more viewers subscribed. Why we might see a lot of reboots of older Paramount movies. Whether the Streaming Wars are the death of art or a great way to get more movies and shows produced. Disney has announced they're going back to theaters! This is following them releasing full-length movies on Disney+ for an upcharge during the pandemic. How long you used to have to wait for a new movie to come out on VHS/DVD versus the new model, where Disney can release a movie in the theater and then on their streaming service about 45 days later. Canon has rolled out a new camera called the R3 which is mostly a stills camera and, while it may not be the highest resolution camera on the market, it's great for filmmakers. This camera's amazing technology of scanning your retina in the viewfinder to try to keep in focus whatever you're looking at and how this feature has upsides and downsides.
