What if the business you keep daydreaming about isn't a midlife crisis — it's your midlife calling? In this episode, Wendy sits down with award-winning entrepreneur and small business mentor Lindsay Pinchuk, one of the less than 1% of female founders to lead her company through an acquisition. Lindsay built her first brand, Bump Club and Beyond, from a $500 investment into a seven-figure powerhouse — partnering with Target, Nordstrom, and Huggies and reaching three million people a month — before selling it and starting over. Today she runs Dear FoundHer…, a top podcast and community helping women over forty build businesses that actually last. Lindsay and Wendy dig into why it's never too late to bet on yourself, how to start before you feel ready, the simple two-question litmus test behind every brave pivot, and why your decades of life experience are your biggest entrepreneurial advantage. If a little voice keeps whispering “someday,” consider this your wake-up call.
What happens when a simple idea to connect with other moms becomes a national brand, secures major retail partnerships, and launches a new mission to help women entrepreneurs grow smarter? In this episode of Sharkpreneur, Seth Greene interviews Lindsay Pinchuk, Founder and CEO of Lindsay Pinchuk Marketing + Consulting. She shares how she turned a $500 investment into a seven-figure brand, partnered with major companies such as Target, Nordstrom, Huggies, and Unilever, and ultimately navigated the challenges of selling her company. She also discusses the power of partnerships, staying authentic while scaling, and how she now helps women small business owners build meaningful, sustainable businesses. Key Takeaways:→ Strategic local partnerships with retailers, experts, and community leaders can help companies quickly build trust.→ Maintaining trust with your audience means saying no to products, brands, and partnerships that don't align with your values. → How to turn brand interest into formal sponsorship through national partnerships with major brands. → Finding brand ambassadors in new cities lets you scale your business while keeping your brand personal and community-driven. → Simple marketing fundamentals still work for small businesses. Lindsay Pinchuk is an award-winning entrepreneur and one of fewer than 1% of female founders to lead her company through an acquisition. After nearly 25 years in marketing and sales, she left corporate America to found Bump Club and Beyond, bootstrapping it from $0 to seven figures for six consecutive years, turning a profit in year one, and building partnerships with brands like Target, Nordstrom, Huggies, ULTA, and more. She grew the community to 3M+ monthly users and led the company's acquisition in under a decade. Today, Lindsay supports women business owners (especially 40+) through Dear FoundHer…, a podcast-turned-movement with a Substack, community, mentorship, and events. She consults, teaches, and speaks on simple, cost-effective marketing using her SWEEP framework. In this episode of Money Tales, our guest is Lindsay Pinchuk. When Lindsay Pinchuk sold her company, everyone assumed she had become a multimillionaire. The truth was far more complicated, and for years she wasn't allowed to say so. A former ad sales executive turned accidental founder, Lindsay built a national community for new parents. She ultimately sold her business under conditions that looked very different from the outside. Lindsay opens up about the unseen money realities behind entrepreneurship, selling a company, and charting a new path helping other founders. Lindsay is an award-winning entrepreneur, consultant, and small business mentor who's among the less than 1% of female founders to successfully lead her company through an acquisition. She built her first company, Bump Club and Beyond, from just $500 into a 7-figure brand with partnerships that included Target, Nordstrom, Huggies, and Unilever, reaching over 3 million people every month before selling the business to a large agency holding company. When It's Time to Sell Selling a company can be a defining moment, but the real impact often unfolds long after the deal closes. Megan chats with Lindsay Pinchuk about simplifying your marketing through her SWEEP framework so you can finally stay consistent without burning out. Through her podcast, newsletter, mentorship program, and her signature SWEEP framework, she helps entrepreneurs simplify their marketing, grow their businesses, and build long-term success. She built a seven figure business without an ad budget, and the strategy behind it is surprisingly simple. In this episode she breaks down SWEEP, the system she created to help entrepreneurs amplify content through social media, their website, email, events and partnerships. You will hear why repurposing is non-negotiable, why consistency beats complexity, and how food bloggers can use SWEEP to grow without feeling like they have to be everywhere at once. Key points discussed include: Consistency drives everything and most creators struggle because they overcomplicate their marketing. Repurposing is a power move and one blog post can fuel days of content across multiple platforms. Social media is free awareness so choose two platforms you can commit to and post intentionally. Email is your conversion engine and it will always outperform social media for clicks and sales. Events accelerate trust whether in person or virtual, because your audience gets direct access to you. Partnerships expand your reach by borrowing other people's audiences and creating mutual value. Publicity builds authority and podcast guesting is one of the fastest, most overlooked ways to grow. A simple process wins so map out your sweep for each blog post and repeat it every time. Connect with Lindsay Pinchuk Website | Instagram

We talk a lot about decision making for birth- Where might you choose to birth your baby? Do you want an epidural? Should you have an induction? etc etc.. but the decision making (and the impact of those decisions) actually starts MUCH earlier on in pregnancy. This week I am exploring all of this with friend and community midwife Laura Green, whose approach to informed choice, birth education and advocacy makes my heart sing! She brings a brilliant insight and balance to this conversation through her experiences both working inside the maternity system and supporting families privately outside of the NHS- always centring women and families at the heart of her care. It is a conversation steeped in warmth, evidence, nuance and honesty- everything I love a 'bit of' here at birth-ed!In this week's episode we chat about:- What's going on in maternity services and how is this impacting rates of intervention?- What are the common things in pregnancy that might affect our birth experience? (Screening for Gestational Diabetes, Low PAPP A, Routine Scans, Growth Scans etc)- How to navigate these decisions in pregnancy and understand the longer possible impact of these decisions.- How to advocate for yourself once your decision has been made. This episode is worth listening AS EARLY ON in pregnancy as you can. Though even if you're due soon or have had your baby, it will hopefully give you some perspective on your experiences so far.So, set aside an hour, grab a pen and paper if you can, and enjoy!______________________________________Laura Green LinksLaura's WebsiteFollow Laura on InstagramBirth-ed LinksJoin free- BUMP CLUB- expert week by week support throughout your pregnancyJOIN the Online Course from £40/$49Group and Private Antenatal/Hypnobirthing Courses with podcast host and birth expert Megan Rossiter________________________________________This episode is sponsored by OR Collective. “Your community is your greatest asset and your greatest marketing tool,” Lindsay says on this solo episode of Dear FoundHer. The first of two episodes in which she shares with listeners what she has emphasized throughout the 72 episodes of the podcast thus far: the importance of building your community. In fact, the more you show up as your authentic self, sharing your personal story and your ‘why' with your audience, the more they will want to buy what you're selling. What's more, your community will eventually do your marketing for you by spreading the word about your business. Which means that even those with a shoestring budget are wise to start engaging and building one. Here, Lindsay shares five specific steps founders can take to with their community including asking for feedback and offering the community a discount on something. These steps helped her build her first company Bump Club and Beyond. And even though she sold her first company, Lindsay plans to further her new mission–to help female founders achieve the same success. It took years to grow the first business, but with all of the invaluable lessons she learned along the way, her second business grew within months. And by taking her advice, you can save yourself years of time by starting your business by building your community from the beginning. Quotes: • “Being scrappy and utilizing your resources is so imperative when you're getting a business off the ground. Your community is your number one asset.” (5:46- 5:55 | Lindsay) • “My community came first, and the monetization came after.” (10:38-10:44 | Lindsay) • “People want to buy from people.” (11:50-11:52 | Lindsay) • “In showing up to serve and connect and engage with your community, you build a natural bridge for transaction over time. Whether you're a brand new entrepreneur, or you have some experience under your belt, creating a community is free.” (11:53-12:09 | Lindsay) Connect with Lindsay Pinchuk: Grab time to connect with Lindsay on how you can work together: https://calendly.com/lindsaypinchuk/i-want-to-work-with-lindsay Follow: https://www.instagram.com/lindsaypinchuk For more info on how to work with Lindsay: Coaching: https://www.lindsaypinchuk.com/smallbusinesscoaching Enterprise Consulting: https://www.lindsaypinchuk.com/work-with-lindsay Please don't forget to rate, comment, and subscribe to Dear FoundHer on Apple, Spotify, or wherever you listen to podcasts! It was such a pleasure sitting down with Lindsay Pinchuck, an award-winning entrepreneur, consultant, community builder, and Mom. Lindsay grew up in the suburbs of Detroit, graduated from the University of Michigan and moved to Chicago. After moving to a new city and finding out she and her husband were pregnant, she realized that she didn't have support or community, so naturally, she started hosting events for expectant parents. These events grew internationally into a 7-figure brand called Bump Club and Beyond and many of their partnerships included Target, Huggies, and The Honest Company to name a few. After selling and exiting the company, Lindsay started her own consulting business that helps brands learn how build community. In today's epidsode, we talk everything from how to get sponsors for your brand and monetize a community to which social media platforms to build your community on.
