Eric Peters from Eric Peters Autos drops by for our weekly check-in. We talk about the EV juggernaut as well as this "standing for..." business. The endless posturing over leadership in Congress makes for some exciting political drama but it does little to change what Congress actually does. There's a difference between law and legislation and we should understand what that is. Whenever someone floats the excuse, "But no one ever warned us...," that's a good time to remember that Ron Paul has been sounding the alarm on our imperial foreign policy for decades. His latest take on Hamas's victory in sparking a greater conflict is worth the read. Article of the Day: There's a world of difference between one person's agency and another's agenda. Robin Koerner has a powerful essay on the complicity of compliance and what we learned from covid. Sponsors: Monticello College Life Saving Food  TMCP Nation Climbing Upward Quilt & Sew

Anyone who is willing to stand up for freedom has to be highly committed to stay at it. J.B. Shurk has a positive take on how to make being a 'joyful warrior' a personal calling. The weaponization of the US Dept. of Justice is pretty unsettling. Sarah Weaver joins me to talk about a pro-life pastor who was raided by the FBI, arrested and charged with obstructing access to an abortion clinic. Thankfully, a jury acquitted him last week. It's hard to tell is "Dilbert" creator Scott Adams is being sincere or facetious when he apologizes for being pro-jab. Robin Koerner uses Adams' experience to illustrate how the "unvaccinated" got it right. Politicians have a bad habit of using words that don't exactly convey their authentic meaning. Thomas L. Knapp explains how "constitutional carry" doesn't actually mean what most us think it means. The Marxist worldview has taken hold in a surprising number of our institutions. Annie Holmquist says children are the ticket out of this mindset. More and more, James Howard Kunstler's columns are like a high potency reality supplement for those of us who prefer life without sedation. His latest one on the war against us is worth the read. Is it true that only a moral people can be free? Paul Rosenberg's take on this question is worth considering. “Is America exceptional or fundamentally flawed? Such abstract moral questions dominating much of modern politics often lead to highly inflammatory debates in what we would call the culture war. Some might say that culture wars distract us from important policy reforms; others might say that an argument about culture is an argument about civilization itself. Either way, it is essential that we understand why and how culture drives our political discourse. To help me dissect this phenomenon, I was joined by Robin Koerner, visiting fellow at AIER and an academic dean at the John Locke Institute located in Oxford. He received his graduate degrees from Cambridge University in physics and philosophy, and he is written on cultural issues ranging from ideological possession during the Covid era, to the virtues of living truthfully at all costs. It's a lot easier to try to appear as a good person than to actually live as a good person. Paul Rosenberg explains why in his essay about how a Twitter mob is a religious experience. Social media has made virtue signaling the path of least resistance. Robin Koerner has a great take on how signaling turns virtue into vice. If you wish to make a difference, this is worth understanding. Whether you grew up in a railroad town or not, you likely understood the desire to not be from the "wrong side of the tracks." Annie Holmquist has a fresh take on this concept as it applies to the trades vs. college. The "convenience" of a cashless society will be a major part of how it's sold to us. But don't be fooled. Peter Caddle says a cashless society would leave millions of people struggling. How would you prioritize what has been lost over the past couple of years? Chet Richards says America is suffering from a gigantic loss of trust and restoring it isn't going to be easy. Maintaining one's sense of perspective can be a challenge even when things are going well. It's much harder to do during times of crisis. Lewis Dovland reminds us to keep the Big Picture in mind. China is bringing back lockdowns and, in Shanghai, it's more intense than before. Jordan Schachtel wonders what's up with Wuhan 2.0. Is it a psyop or are they true believers? Making fun of preppers has been a favorite pastime for many folks who consider it the realm of conspiracy kooks. Theodore Dalrymple wonders if a new age of hardship might soften our views of the self-reliant. If you're feeling imposed upon, you're in good company. Turns out that half of politics comes down to our refusal to be imposed upon. Robin Koerner has a great essay about why this is so. Politicians fret that we aren't obeying their decrees. I guess they don't realize that we see them violating their own lockdown policies. Jon Miltimore recounts how Gavin Newsome gets away with apologizing for what he'd gladly jail other Californians for doing. Watching the cultural disintegration of the family is equal parts fascinating and horrifying. Robin Koerner is a political and economic commentator for the Huffington Post, Independent Voter Network, and other outlets. He holds graduate degrees in both Physics and the Philosophy of Science from the University of Cambridge (U.K.). He is British born, and recently became a citizen of the USA. A decade ago, he founded WatchingAmerica.com, an organization of over 200 volunteers that translates and posts in English views about the USA from all over the world. Robin may be best known for having coined the term “Blue Republican” to refer to liberals and independents who joined the GOP to support Ron Paul's bid for the presidency in 2012 (and, in so doing, launching the largest coalition that existed for that candidate). Robin's current work as the author of the book If You Can Keep It and as a trainer and a consultant focuses on bringing people together across political divisions, with a view to winning supporters for good causes, rather than just arguments. He is driven by the conviction that more unites us as people and as Americans than divides us as partisans, and if we can find common ground and understand the forces that really drive political change, then “We the People” will be able to do what the Founders implored us to do – maintain our natural rights against power and its abuse. As he says, people and their well-being are the only legitimate ends of politics. Recently, Mr. Koerner was on our show talking about his article The Cure for Toxic Masculinity Is Real Masculinity. During our conversation, Mr. Koerner talked about: – Some of his background including being born in England, his education – His desire to pursue education and desire to become an American and the process he went through to become an American citizen – The fact it is becoming harder for men to be men and for men to be masculine – How the term “toxic masculinity” should not be used – What women have told him about their experiences with some men and the effects of this behaviour has had on boys – Holding the feminine and truly masculine sacred Website Twitter Linkedin Facebook Visit our website at https://www.thedrvibeshow.com/ Please feel free to email us at dr.vibe@thedrvibeshow.com Please feel free to “Like” the “The Dr. Vibe Show” Facebook fan page here God bless, peace, be well and keep the faith, Dr. Vibe

It can be frustrating looking for a “win” from the good guys. As the co-founder of the Institute for Justice, Clint knows a thing or two about going toe-to-toe with the government on every level. Now, Clint serves as an Associate Justice on the Arizona Supreme Court, where he has taken his passion for justice and liberty to a whole new level. Clint is both a liberty warrior and a scholar, a thought leader *and* active leader in the field of law and order, and here's what we'll learn from him in this episode of Leading Liberty: Whether judicial activism from the bench is what our Founding Fathers feared What the "Gift Clause" is, and how the Arizona Constitution may be leading the way on some amazing state-level taxpayer protections What’s really going on with the status of Civil Asset Forfeiture reform Whether jury nullification is justified -- and when it turns problematic I could keep going, but this episode goes into all of that and so much more! In last week's episode, Nick and Doug interviewed communications expert Robin Koerner on how to effectively reach people with the libertarian message. In this episode — recorded independently of the previous interview — Norman and Jason discuss their take on the subject, including a corollary issue which is sometimes raised by LCI supporters: how can libertarian Christians better communicate Christianity to other libertarians? Are there parallels between Christian evangelism and advocating for liberty? How can libertarian Christians be both better evangelists for the gospel and better communicators of the liberty message? Find out in this episode of the Libertarian Christian Podcast! Alternatively, as many politicians seem to think that 1984 was an instruction manual, if you're an aspiring pagan tyrant you could try the exact opposite of what Norman and Jason discuss (but we wouldn't recommend it).

We libertarians tend to be a philosophical bunch, and many of us can spend countless hours arguing over the finer points of economics, or trying to explain how Rothbardian political economy applies to environmental issues. But the reality is that the vast majority of the population does not reach political conclusions on the basis good arguments; in many cases, people make decisions for subjective/emotional reasons, then devise an intellectual basis for their position after the fact. If libertarians want to make a serious impact in persuading more people, we must learn how to connect the liberty message to them on a subjective, emotional level. Enter Robin Koerner, who in the 2012 presidential election cycle gained fame amongst libertarians due to his successful effort to convince large numbers of pro-peace Democrats to register Republican in order to vote for Ron Paul in the primaries. Today, Robin is a consultant who helps libertarians learn to be better marketers of the message. He is also a close associate of the great libertarian Christian, Jeffrey Tucker (which whom he has released a new book). Tune in and find out why some very important people have started referring to Robin as “the Dale Carnegie of the 21st century!” (By the way, we're the very important people)
