linktr.ee/CatchingUpOnCinema We weren't able to get out to the theater to see Terrifier 3 (2024) just yet, so you'll have to wait until Halloween for that episode to drop! This week on Catching Up On Cinema, in lieu of a proper review episode of the show, Trevor and Kyle talk about some of the movies and shows that they've been watching on their own time, in a little something we'd like to call “Catching Up On Catching Up On Cinema”! Depending on how warmly this show format is received, this might be adopted by us as a recurring episode format. Movies discussed this time around include Hereditary, The Big Lebowski, No Country for Old Men, Venom, Take Cover, The Prowler, the Maniac Cop series, and Bad Boys: Ride or Die, among many others! Action superstar Scott Adkins joins this bite-sized episode of the Movies In Focus podcast to talk about his latest film Take Cover - a high-octane one-location action flick that's a real must for fans of the genre. Known for his athletic turns in films like Accident Man, Undisputed, John Wick Chapter 4 and The Expendables 2, Scott has entertained audiences with his martial arts prowess and charismatic screen presence. Scott spoke over Zoom to discuss his work in action movies, CGI versus stunt work, his passion for film-making - as well as the potential of him suiting up as iconic superhero, Batman.
Its been a while, but we're finally back on track! And to kick off we have two new films to talk about! First up is THE CONVERT (Vertigo Releasing), directed by Lee Tamahori. Guy Pierce stars as a lay preacher who arrives in a British colony in New Zealand and must deal with the threat of neighboring warring Maori tribes. Next is TAKE COVER (Signature Entertainment), in which Scott Adkins finds himself trapped in a penthouse suite with a sniper trying to get him in his sights! Our shot shot is PROM CAR '91, an awesome horror comedy - click the link to watch the whole film! Finally our DTV Throwback is THE RAGE, starring Lorenzo Lamas as a FBI agent on the hunt for a serial killer. This film had loads to recommend it and its available to stream on Amazon Prime. Follow the Short Shots on X (formerly Twitter) where you will find hundreds of links to awesome short films! Don't forget to also check out our main show, the DTV DIGEST on X and FACEBOOK!

On this Tuesday edition of Sid & Friends in the Morning, it's now been back-to-back days that a friend of the program has joined Sid just to warn him about his impending doom at the hands of the anti-Semitic animals wreaking their hate havoc all over college campuses across the country. First it was Steve Bannon saying they'd try to assassinate Sid should he run for Mayor of NYC, before today saw Alan Dershowitz claim these radical college students may ultimately make the jump to real life terrorist and try to blow up the 77 WABC Studios! It may very well be time to take cover! In all seriousness and in other news of the day, the demonstrators on Columbia's campus have now broken into and occupied Hamilton Hall on campus, Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis seemingly make amends following their heated run against one another in the GOP Presidential primary, and ESPN talent Stephen A. Smith shows his true colors as today's honorary pansy. Curtis Sliwa, Joe Benigno, Alan Dershowitz, Rudy Giuliani and Greg Jarrett join Sid on this Tuesday installment of Sid & Friends in the Morning.
