Discover practical ways to move beyond defensive reactions and embrace a countercultural approach to justice that reflects Christ's example. Through compelling examples from Paul and King David, we'll unpack how letting go of our right to justice can lead to true freedom and a powerful Christian witness. Beware falling away from the Lord!
Scripture: Joel 2:28-2:32 Pentecost Sunday is a Christian celebration commemorating the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on Jesus' disciples after He died, rose from the dead and ascended back to heaven, thereby establishing the church. We continue to celebrate and remember this critical event because it reminds us of God's powerful, indwelling presence among us, which is necessary to build up the church, glorify God and make Him known in the world.
Scripture: Joel 2:28-2:32 Pentecost Sunday is the celebration of the coming of the Holy Spirit on the church. It is a celebration that we often forget and yet it is the reason that the church exists today. We celebrate the gift of God's presence dwelling powerfully among us to build up the church and glorify God.
Scripture: Joel 2:28-2:32, Acts 2:14-2:21 For two thousand years Christians have celebrated Pentecost to commemorate the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on all the disciples following the crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus. Pentecost is the celebration of Jesus' ongoing presence among us. In the sending of the Holy Spirit, Jesus dwells with us, establishes a new family in Christ, and empowers the Church for its mission in the world.

Scripture: Joel 2:1-2, 12-17Speaker: Rev. Carla StengelLent is the holiest of seasons in the Christian Life. A time of introspection—time to look deep into our souls, to realize our fragile state, our mortality and our deep need for God. When we are so filled with the business of life, there is no room left for God. But if we pour ourselves out, we have room to invite God in. Lent is a time to give up what we are for what we may become.

Speaker: James Anson. Scripture: Joel 3:10 & Romans 12:2. Joel 3:10 Let the weak say, ""I am strong""! A lesson to learn sooner than later is the fact that we cannot change our behaviour until we change our thinking. The good news is that God says we can be transformed by the renewing of the mind. In other words we can change into a Stronger person by training our minds to think the right thoughts. In this message Pastor James shares 3 keys to renewing our minds to become a Stronger person.
Speaker: James Anson. Scripture: Joel 3:10 & Isaiah 42:3. We miss so many opportunities because we are too often buried in our weaknesses. The bible says ""Let the weak say I am strong"". Pastor James gives us a key trait of maintaining STRENGTH in our lives - the willingness to be FLEXIBLE.
Speaker: James Anson. Scripture: Joel 3:10. The bible teaches that humans are inherently weak. But through the cross of Christ - Jesus has made His strength available to us. God sends us 'strength builders' along the way to develop strength in us. One of the ways God builds strength in us is through the resistance we push against. Pastor James elaborates on why resistance is so important to us becoming Stronger.

Welcome to Ladies Seeking His Face Hosted by Evangelist Charline Steed-Bourne Today's Topic: God Uses It All Today's Scripture: Joel 2:32 - Joel 2:32 (KJV) 32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call. This show is based on 2 Chronicles 7:13-16 13 “When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people, 14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 15 Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place. 16 I have chosen and consecrated this temple so that my Name may be there forever. My eyes and my heart will always be there.
We’ve all been there: distant, drifting, disconnected from God, moving away from Him instead of moving toward Him. We get distracted by so many different things that fight for our attention. But we can choose to return to God and get to know Him better. We have the choice to either stay disconnected from Him or to draw closer. We’ll look at eight different spiritual disciplines that will help us do just that—help us be Closer.
