First part here https://youtu.be/NA4rXhm2JJU In this second part of my interview with "Tiger Beat" editor Ann Moses she tells me all about her appearance in the Elvis movie "That's The Way It Is" , seeing him live on stage on opening night in Las Vegas on August 10th 1970. She describes getting kissed by him during the show. Ann also describes seeing Elvis in later years and explains why she feels Elvis' popularity is as strong today as it was when he was alive. Sporting six members and yet, somehow, still two elements shy of summoning a Captain Planet, Earth Wind and Fire, wrote a great soundtrack to an awful film... of which they also starred. In the immortal words of record producer Coleman Buckmaster: "They're just gonna keep cranking out that same kind of garbage. Right now the idea is to have me produce fast-buck bubblegum shit. Then when they think the drug supplies are loosening up, then they tell me to produce some music for kids to freak out by." Let's talk Earth Wind and Fire, That's the Way of the World!

The debate ladies of #TeamJanet share their finished cover of "That's The Way Love Goes" after "Miss X pulled the plug on the night before. Both "Miss X" & "The Love Shrink" reflects back on their collegiate rivalry and years as "Miss X" reflects back on her younger years including the racial college incidents, wild parties and when she made love and fell in love with her husband Artius or Artie as she calls him. Sexual language is included in this episode. There's a lot of shade and love thrown around plus some lost hits from the early 1990s as the ladies tell their stories.
The debate ladies discuss concepts and ideas for the upcoming versus or verzuz show battle #TeamJanet vs #TeamMadonna but Miss X's sister Tanickqua or T has a plan to get Clarisse away from STephy because she feels that STephy(myself) is spending too much time talking and vritually hanging out with STephy(myself). Also Miss X wants so badly to defeat both "MWS" & Erica "The Love Shrink". Meanwhile #TeamJanet with the help of STephy is done laying down the musical tracks to "That's The Way Love Goes" The Love Shrink & Miss X will have @ it plus I STephy has a custome idea for #TeamMadonna whereas it's benefits both Miss X & myself but will "Lady F" be open to it. Hint: It's some funny shit & something Madonna has done in some of her concerts that no one ever talks about.

Welcome back to the Doctrine Detox! This week I’m joined by friend and fellow podcast host Tomahawk Eastridge in what is definitely the funniest and most lighthearted episode to date. In this episode, we discuss a wide array of topics, from Tomahawk’s upbringing in the church, how God is essentially a TV writer, and how Rick and Morty ties in with religion. Tomahawk also hosts a podcast called The Sillycast, and is available everywhere you listen to podcasts.
Matt and Dennis start with the Mets making the first big splash in free agency. When will the Yankees join them? The CFB National title game is Monday, is it Bama or Ohio State? And why Justin Fields has gotten his hype back, but it's not for what he's done on the field. And of course the NFL Playoffs kickoff with the "Super Wild Card" Weekend. Who do the boys have getting to and winning the Super Bowl? Well you'll have to listen.
Another grand-baby birthday to celebrate! The bankruptcy looks to be a go, maybe Oprah can help? Mat was in Eugene and Phill's divorce had him contemplating Portland. Mom was still planning on moving to Oregon, maybe getting all three back in the same area? A really cool vest was given to Mom too. Then the next “big” thing to start in our lives, The Patent. Let's see how it goes. Enjoy!

While catching up with the hot new Sony Legacy release "From Elvis in Nashville," Justin & Gurdip are inspired to take a look at the first album comprised of material from those June 1970 sessions: That's The Way It Is. Blending live and studio cuts and bearing perhaps the most prominent influence of the 70s adult contemporary style (reflecting artists like BJ Thomas and Tom Jones), does the not-so-soundtrack album accompanying the documentary film stand on its own 50 years out from its original release? Where does it sit within Elvis' greater discography? And are there still new insights to glean from the songs? All this and more in this week's TCBCast, plus Gurdip rings in the holiday season with "Here Comes Santa Claus" while Justin wraps up his tale of a 1962 movie cut with a "Happy Ending." If you haven't done so yet, we highly recommend picking up or streaming on an official platform of your choice the new compilation set "From Elvis in Nashville." https://www.amazon.com/Elvis-Nashville-Presley/dp/B08928MGYK

We've all heard it and we've all said it, "That's the way we've always done it." In this episode of the Public Safety Innovators Podcast, Scott Savage and I will discuss why we think this mentality is one of the most pervasive cancers that is affecting the law enforcement profession. This attitude stifles our own growth and negatively impacts our ability to serve our communities, adapt to societal expectations, and rise to the occasion.

Sometimes in order to find answers for the classroom, teachers need to look to examples from well outside of it. In this episode, Nick sits down with Melanie O'Neil owner and operator of Rustic Marlin to discuss the most expensive phrase in business. "That's the way we've always done it" How can leaders help facilitate change in a meaningful and team-first way and how can these lessons be brought into the classroom.
Ten remarkable albums cover only a two year span in Elvis' career between 1968-1970 (11 if you count the double LP). These ten albums manage to encompass Elvis' biggest mid-60s pop hits, some of his finest movie soundtrack material, a milestone television special, three full albums worth of Elvis' most artistically mature studio material, and two vastly different live-on-stage experiences. Yeah, Justin's reviews of these 10 albums from the RCA Albums Collection box set from 2016 run long. If you haven't heard these reviews before, or not in a while, this series will help get you up to speed on Justin's thoughts on most of Elvis' albums. Tomorrow's episode will cover albums from 1971-1973.

Earth, Wind & Fire's 6th album, That's The Way of The World, was ostensibly a soundtrack album; when the film bombed, the album was on the verge of fading away, too-- until "Shining Star" was released as a single and it became their first (and surprisingly only) #1 Top 10 Hit. The whole band is on fire here; beneath the pop sheen is the heaviest of funk grooves, with particularly tasty guitar & bass work. Let's climb inside this funk machine & see what it took to create this stellar track. There's a simple reason why the conservative machine continues to facilitate the spread of misinformation about COVID 19 . . . they need to control the narrative. By infusing the system with conflicting and false information, they're ultimately able to keep the populace disoriented and confused about what to believe. They do this by undermining the very people they've brought on board to guide us through this tragedy . . . the scientists. What the machine didn't realize when they decided to include scientists in their task-force was that the scientists would provide us with a rational assessment of what we were up against and how we should approach dealing with it. But that message doesn't resonate well with the conservative machine, so they've had to scramble to silence it!
