If your life was put in three different file drawers that represented your past, present, and future, which of the file drawers drains the most joy out of your life? For example, if there is a disruption of your contentment, it would indicate something has gone wrong in—at least—one of your file drawers. Thus, you would identify the problem and begin to restore contentment by isolating the issue and initiating a process to bring the gospel to bear on what seeks to disrupt your mind. To help drill down into this concept, I have developed three mind maps to bring clarity to taking our rogue thoughts captive. Your emotions can be good or bad, but in either case, they accurately reflect what is happening in your thought life. If the emotions are right, the person is thinking and responding correctly. If a person's emotions are not biblically aligned with God's Word, they need intentional, compassionate, and patient biblical care to help change their thinking. Let me illustrate. And the good news? You don't need a bulldozer or a makeover… you just need the key.✨ In this episode, you'll learn:Why awareness is the highest form of emotional intelligenceHow noticing your thoughts can calm emotional reactivityWhy self-judgment keeps you stuck (and gentleness sets you free)How God meets you right where you are, not where you think you should be

Ryan launches a multi-part series, Twisted Passions, addressing homosexuality and same-sex attraction from a biblical framework. He establishes why pastors should clearly preach what Scripture says while also equipping the church to counsel and care for strugglers, and he outlines upcoming topics: Is this sin “different,” are people “born this way,” and how do we raise kids in a sexualized culture? The aim is clarity, compassion, and confident hope in Christ for real victory.Topics DiscussedWhy churches must preach plainly on homosexuality (OT & NT texts)Common progressive rebuttals and why they don't hold up biblically (e.g., “love = affirmation,” misuse of John 8)Word study: ἀρσενοκοίτης and Paul's clarity in 1 Cor 6 / 1 Tim 1Beyond the pulpit: moving from denunciation to discipleship and counseling in the local churchShepherding kids in a perverted culture; building a proactive family planInviting listener questions/testimonies for future episodesKey TakeawaysScripture speaks clearly; pastors should, too—without hatred or compromise.“Love the sinner; hate the sin” isn't a cliché—Jesus says, “Go and sin no more.”Paul's terminology intentionally names male-with-male practice; it isn't vague.Churches must pair clear preaching with hands-on help for real people.Parents need an intentional, early plan to disciple children amid cultural lies.Ready to download the Cord App? Ryan wrestles with a piercing question sparked by Charlie Kirk's testimony: Are we actually called to purity—or is purity the assumed condition of a life on mission for Christ? Drawing from Kirk's own words about victory over pornography and Psalm 97:10, Ryan reframes purity not as an end in itself but as the necessary overflow of loving Jesus and pursuing His calling with focus.Topics DiscussedPurity vs. purpose: which is the calling and which is the conditionLessons from Charlie Kirk's testimony and focusThe danger of letting the “fight for purity” become a lifelong distractionPractical safeguards (accountability, tech tools) in their proper placePsalm 97:10 and hating evil as an expression of loving GodMoving from abstinence-mindset to satisfaction in ChristSimultaneously growing in purity while stepping into God's missionKey TakeawaysPurity is not the destination; it's the runway for a Spirit-led life on mission.A life that can “comfortably accommodate” impurity is misaligned with calling.Tools and accountability help, but transformation flows from loving Christ first.Get on mission now; don't postpone obedience until you feel “fully pure.”As love for Christ increases, purity increases—because there's more of you reserved for Him.Resources & LinksCharlie Kirk's original interview: ListenCovenant Eyes — accountability software for purityReady to download the Cord App? We all struggle with negative thoughts, voices in our head and even poor self-talk. How do we sort it all out and recognize Gods voice in the noise. The guilt/shame crazy cycle can be so damaging. Remember this- no one talks to you more than you do, so start understanding how your thoughts toward yourself are a reflection of how you regard God.
Ryan Swanson introduces The Cord 2.0, highlighting two big additions—Check‑In Streaks (consistency‑focused medals) and bi‑weekly 3‑minute devotional challenges—and explains why accountability tools are meant to lead us to Jesus, not replace Him as the answer. He also unpacks motivations (relationships, ministry, family) and shows how these secondary motives should funnel us back to Christ as the true source of purity and victory. You'll also hear a refresher on The Cord's core features like daily 1–10 check‑ins, 90‑second video reflections, and the SOS button rooted in Ecclesiastes 4:10 (never alone).Topics DiscussedWhy The Cord exists: daily light and never‑alone accountability (Ecc. 4)How daily 1–10 check‑ins + 90‑sec videos keep it sustainableSOS button: instant “I'm not alone” signaling during temptationThe Cord 2.0 Feature #1 – Check‑In Streaks (consistency over “purity streaks,” with medals at 7/30/100 days and beyond)The Cord 2.0 Feature #2 – Bi‑weekly 3‑minute devotional challenges (trusted preachers; keeps groups Christ‑focused)Motivation vs. the Answer: letting strong motives lead you to Jesus, not replace HimKey TakeawaysAccountability is a means, not the end; Jesus is both the end and the means of purity. The Cord 2.0's Check‑In Streaks reward consistency, closing the “skip‑a‑bad‑day” loophole and keeping daily light on your heart.Short, bi‑weekly devotionals inject life and keep the focus on Christ so groups don't drift into a “dry confessional booth.”The SOS button helps you refuse isolation: you're known, prayed for, and expected to give account—tonight.Ready to download the Cord App? Sexual sobriety is about more than your behavior—it begins in your thought life. In this episode of Beauty Beyond Betrayal, Lisa Limehouse unpacks why your thoughts matter, how they shape your feelings, beliefs, and actions, and why true freedom requires taking every thought captive and submitting it to Christ. You'll discover: The biblical foundation for renewing your mind (2 Corinthians 10:5, Romans 12:2, Philippians 4:8) What neuroscience reveals about how your thought patterns create or break addictions How to rewire your brain through God's truth 5 practical steps to take every thought captive and walk in lasting sexual sobriety If you've ever struggled to break free from lust, pornography, or sexual sin, this episode will give you both biblical wisdom and brain-based strategies to help you finally overcome.

In this episode of the Satisfied program, Jeremiah Acosta (a.k.a. Jerry or "Randy") shares how his walk with God took a dramatic turn when he stopped obsessing over answers and started seeking a Person. Through his honest testimony, you'll hear how this shift brought clarity, peace, and real purity into his life. Whether you're wrestling with God's will, struggling with temptation, or just want to grow, this episode calls you to aim higher—toward Christ Himself.Topics Discussed:Why pursuing God's will isn't the same as pursuing GodThe confusion that comes from conflicting counselHow to overcome anxiety over decision-makingPractical steps Jerry took to eliminate sources of impurityWhy purity must be about seeking Christ, not just avoiding sinThe transformation that happens when you truly delight in the LordThe freedom found in aiming for a relationship, not just resultsKey Takeaways:Freedom comes not by focusing on sin, but by focusing on Christ. You can aim higher than just staying clean—you can know God deeply.Practical boundaries are wise, but heart-level change comes through Jesus.God's will is revealed in relationship, not just in research.“Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God”—and that's the point.Ready to download the Cord App? Episode SummaryIn the final episode of the Mind War series on the Satisfied program, Ryan Swanson tackles a difficult but crucial topic: desire. Is the struggle in our thought life something we must simply manage forever, or does God offer more? With biblical clarity and pastoral empathy, Ryan shares the hope that victory isn't just about saying “no”—it's about saying “yes” to Jesus, and discovering the peace of a transformed mind.Topics DiscussedThe distinction between temptation and desireCan God change your desires?Testimonies of men battling addiction and cravingIsaiah 26:3 and the key to perfect peaceReframing the battle: it's not a yes/no choice, it's a multiple choiceDesire, availability, and isolation in thought life strugglesWhy saying “yes” to Christ is the only path to victoryWhat David teaches us about longing in Psalm 63Encouragement to fight the battle, but aim for peaceKey TakeawaysThe goal of spiritual warfare isn't just a good fight—it's peace.Saying “no” to sin is not enough; victory comes by saying “yes” to Christ.God may want to do more than help you resist sin—He may want to change what you desire.Perfect peace is possible, not when you try harder, but when your mind is stayed on Christ.Your journey is not just about fighting gratification but about learning to be satisfied in Jesus.Ready to download the Cord App?
