The first episode of the previous season of this podcast covered the Scream requel and today I had to bring my guy Tyler back to cover Scream VI. There were big changes to the franchise and big swings taken with this movie so there were questions as to whether or not the magic would remain. Non-Spoiler Review (~24 minutes) Spoiler Review Enjoy! The finale of Season 2: Genesis. Please join me for the third Season! We think the story of Babel is about God punishing people for building a tower that reaches the sky; that is why God makes them speak in different languages. But, what if it's much more than that? What if the Tower is not really God's primary concern, and the goal of God making people speak different languages, is simply that—that they would speak differently? Utopia Falls creator RT THORNE sits down with Music Supervisor David Hayman to discuss his hip-hop-heart.
Solitair, Mesha & Reddy look forward to their Sat.Feb.8th show on Vibe 105.5 (@vibe105to) 10am with special guest filmmaker RT Thorne (@directedbyRT). Discussing his new sci-fi show "Utopia Falls" premiering Feb 14th.2020 on Hulu and CBC Gem. They discuss the "Have You Heard?"s of the week, Jay Z and Beyonce sitting during the national anthem at the SuperBowl and Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill's public fued.
David Hayman was the head of the sonic branding company Supergroup, and VP of the Guild of Music Supervisors Canada. His enviable job as Music Supervisor had him collaborating with top directors, producer and brands to realize their visions for the soundtracks to their films, TV shows and advertisements. In the summer of 2019 I stopped by the Supergroup office in Liberty Village, Toronto for a very insightful conversation with David about his many exciting recent soundtrack projects, including the Robbie Robertson & The Band documentary, Once Were Brothers. There's a strong Hamilton connection to his work: The bank scenes in the film Stockholm starring Ethan Hawke, take place in Liuna Station, and the new sci-fi series Utopia Falls, saw him facing harsh elements in Hamilton's conservation area.
