Welcome to episode 286 of the Women's Running podcast. I'm your host Esther Newman and she's your other host Holly Taylor. On this podcast we talk about health, politics, stuff on TV and what we ate last night. Occasionally, we talk about running.Injury updateIn this episode, we have even more of an injury update, which I hope will be useful for anyone out there who's picked up something nasty in the middle of training. We have our last special chat with Eilish in the middle of everything, and we come back afterwards to chat traitors.Female health and runningWith the lovely Eilish, we're talking about training around our cycles, but also about women-specific nutrition and hydration. We love the fact that fuelling *during* a run is new for her – as it will be for many of us. In many ways, we're all like Eilish. Apologies in advance for some slightly dodgy Zoom quality in this section – Eilish was calling in from Dubai where she was acclimatising ahead of her race in Japan. let me make it up to you by revealing that the brilliant Eilish is not only doing sterling work with Coopah, she's also gearing up for the London Marathon this year. We cannot wait.Get rid of the ads!By the way, lovely listeners – brace yourself because this episode is absolutely PACKED with ads. We need the ads to survive – that's how it works. Welcome to episode 285 of the Women's Running podcast. I'm your host Esther Newman and she's your other host Holly Taylor. On this podcast we talk about health, politics, stuff on TV and what we ate last night. Occasionally, we talk about running. Injury updateWe have some updates on our various niggles and training disappointments. The good news is that we've both sought medical advice, rather than relying on Dr Google. So we're being good girls, and doing what the doctors have ordered. But is it paying off? Special guest Eilish for CoopahWe interrupt our usual gasbagging to bring you a celebrity guest in the form of the actual Eilish McColgan. Yes! Eilish McColgan! Eilish has recently joined Coopah's roster of talented coaches, helping to devise training plans to turn us all into our own version of Olympians. We wanted to get her on to quiz her on – what else? – injuries. She talks to us about how to manage injury, as well as how she's coped with her own injury time over the years. We come back after the break for more waffly bits, so don't switch off after Eilish has! By the way, lovely listeners – brace yourself because this episode is absolutely PACKED with ads. What should we do about our A goals? In The Indebted Woman: Kinship, Sexuality, and Capitalism (Stanford UP, 2023), the authors Isabelle Guérin, Santosh Kumar and G. Venkatasubramanian conceptualise how gender, debt, and capitalism are related. For over ten years, the researchers have been working in the Indian countryside of east-central Tamil Nadu, observing a credit market that specifically targets Dalit women. The book highlights not only the ways how credit is distributed, but also how it is repaid. Combining in-depth ethnography with statistical surveys and financial diaries advanced the understanding of how Dalit women deal with debt, exposing the ways in which capitalism shapes womanhood. The authors' nuanced attention to body, identity, caste, and class provides a comprehensive theory of the sexual division of debt for the first time. Isabelle Guérin is Senior Research Fellow at the French Institute of Research for Sustainable Development, and Associate at the French Institute of Pondicherry. Santosh Kumar is a part-time researcher and founder and head of the Mithralaya School of music, dance, and arts. G. Venkatasubramanian has been a sociologist and Research Fellow at the French Institute of Pondicherry for the past thirty-five years. Sarah Vogelsanger is a researcher on social justice, gender, art and migration, based in London. Learn more about your ad choices. What does Romans 13 really say about submitting to government, loving your neighbor, and living urgently for Jesus in today's divided world? In this message, discover the biblical balance every believer needs between politics, love, and the soon return of Christ.Too many Christians either idolize politics (putting hope in leaders above the Kingdom) or ignore the world completely. Romans 13 shows a third way: joyful submission where possible, courageous resistance when necessary, and an unending debt of love we gladly pay every day — because Jesus paid it all on the cross. If you're tired of fear-driven politics or apathetic Christianity, this sermon will rekindle your hope. The Gospel doesn't call us to retreat or rage — it calls us to love sacrificially, live urgently, and point everyone to the mercy of Jesus.
Civil society organisations call for governments to prioritise climate justice, reduce debt distress, and tax billionaires and dollar millionaires. The G20 summit will be the first hosted on the African continent and will host dignitaries from the wealthiest countries in the world., Sakina Kamwendo spoke to Deputy Director at Oxfam in Africa, Daile Judge.

Pastor Harley Snode - 5. Forgive With Indebted Compassion
Climate disasters are intensifying globally, with vulnerable nations facing disproportionate impacts despite minimal contributions to global emissions. From prolonged droughts in East Africa to intensifying cyclones in the Pacific, these events reveal a troubling paradox: As the Expert Review on Debt, Nature and Climate demonstrates, countries must borrow to recover from disasters, yet face financial systems that: Penalise them for climate risks they didn't create Exacerbate vulnerabilities through rising sovereign defaults Fail to support long-term resilience investments This episode examines three critical dimensions: Systemic reforms needed to align debt frameworks with climate reality Distributional challenges preventing finance from reaching frontline communities Innovative proposals to achieve climate justice through financial transformation Guests Moritz Kraemer, Chief Economist, LBBW; Co-Chair, Expert Review on Debt, Nature and Climate Yussuf Hussein, Climate Finance Advisor, Kenya's Special Envoy on Climate Change Sarah Colenbrander, Director, Climate and Sustainability Programme, ODI Global Resources: Tackling the Vicious Circle: The Interim Report of the Expert Review on Debt, Nature and Climate Healthy Debt on a Healthy Planet: Towards a virtuous circle of sovereign debt, nature and climate resilience Indebted: how to support countries heavily reliant on oil and gas revenues to secure long-term prosperity

Welcome to Media Club Plus: a podcast about diving into the media that interests us and the stories that excite us. The King is already gone, but there's a castle full of ants desperate to find and protect him. Gon and Killua have a brief encounter with Netero and Zeno on their way to find Pitou. Killua especially is having some sort of crisis (crises?). Zeno almost has words of warning for the boys, but instead says "hey man don't look at me you figure it out". Meanwhile, Ikalgo immediately raises everyone's suspicion and Knuckle has to tap in for a thoroughly beaten Shoot. Oh yeah and there's a new entry in the "most paranoid guy" category: Welfin. He sees Bloster hear Ikalgo call Leol "Hagya" and has a sincerely impressive meltdown. This week we cover episodes 113-115, titled An x Indebted x Insect, Divide x And x Conquer, and Duty x And x Question. Welcome to Media Club Plus: a podcast about diving into the media that interests us and the stories that excite us. It's been almost 20 episodes since the Extermination Team took a train to East Gorteau to prep for an attack on the castle and almost 40 since Gon and Killua warped to Kite, by chance, officially starting their journey to the most dangerous place on earth. What seemed like a simple plan, to give cover for Netero to fight the King by separating the royal guards, is now a confusing mess. Netero showed up, Zeno Zoldyck in tow, in a hail of nen bombs, accidentally wounding Komugi. Because of this, the King chose to separate himself. Job done? Well, King or no, there's still a house full of ants to deal with. This week we cover episodes 110-112, titled Confusion x And x Expectation, Charge x And x Invade, and Monster x And x Monster. Next episode we'll be covering episodes 113-115, titled An x Indebted x Insect, Divide x And x Conquer, and Duty x And x Question. Mistaken for a shipment of dope, she is rescued. Indebted to the man who rescued her, she dispatches his enemies and carries on a personal side mission enacting revenge on behalf of women who've been raped. But the serial killer who left her to drown resurfaces. And goes on his own personal mission to take out the one that got away. With the police hunting them both, who will win the cat and mouse game?About the author Hello and welcome to my author page. I accomplished a goal and dream to write a novel, that being No Remorse No Regret which was followed up by the sequel, No Rest For The Vengeful. I will soon within the next year have the parallel story to No Remorse published along with Message In A Bottle which will be the third, chronologically speaking, in the series. Things I enjoy doing outside of writing, weight training, yoga, martial arts, drumming and archery. I am a lifelong fan of the Edmonton Oilers and I am one of the biggest Iron Maiden fans in the world.

Who are the winners and losers now that California Governor Gavin Newsom has signed off on hundreds of legislative bills? Hoover senior fellow Lee Ohanian and distinguished policy fellow Bill Whalen, both contributors to Hoover's California on Your Mind web channel, join Hoover senior product manager Jonathan Movroydis to discuss why the past month in Sacramento was good news for teen-abuse victim Paris Hilton (Newsom signed a bill she championed) and Los Angeles Clipper's owner Steve Ballmer (his new arena received a late-night alcohol exception); and bad news for Elon Musk (he didn't get his way on a controversial AI measure as his social-media feud with the governor continues). Possibly the worst news is for Californians fond of direct democracy and election integrity (Newsom vetoed a voter ID requirement). Then, the legislature approved a constitutional amendment altering California's recall process which voters will decide on in 2026.

Our culture says that our value is defined by our wealth and possessions. But the truth is, no matter how much money we have, we are still in serious debt! The price Jesus paid on the cross could never be repaid, so we live our lives happily indebted to God.
