LISTEN ON MY BLOG: https://www.amberleitz.com/sexy-client-spotlight-nikki/ Want to get in on the 6-Month Pleasure Hedonist Mastermind? Get the details and book a call here because I'm only taking 9 women and there are limited spots left! We begin October 3rd. https://bit.ly/pleasurehedonistmm This is one of the juiciest podcast conversations EVER. I interviewed one of my Seductress Deep Dive clients, Nikki. She shared so raw and real what her journey has been like connecting to her pleasure, eros and seductress. She shared what it was like being committed to this path now and how it’s infused into all of these other areas of her life. I’m so excited to bring these conversations with past and current clients to open up the conversation around connecting with our eros and pleasure. Especially for those of you who might be on the fence about joining the Pleasure Hedonist Mastermind with me…you can get a taste of what’s really possible when you connect with this energy. I also felt incredibly rejuvenated in my own eros and pleasure after speaking with Nikki for just an hour. There’s almost something intangible for me to speak, but it’s like we tune into a sisterhood eros. Like we each have our own eroticism and eros and then there’s a sisterhood collective eros that we tap into. We feed each other, nourish each other, celebrate each other & regenerate each other. We connect, tap into & inspire each other. THIS is exactly what I’m creating with the 6-month Pleasure Hedonist Mastermind. If I can just get fueled & inspired from a conversation with an amazing sister & client… Imagine what we can do together when there’s 9 women journeying together (10, including myself) for 6 months. There’s a deep level of connecting, tuning in & intimacy *which I get can be intimidating & I’ll be speaking to it soon…* but it’s SO powerful. In this episode Nikki and I discuss… What Nikki’s journey with her pleasure, eros and seductress was like before she started working with me vs during and after How giving herself permission to do the program allowed her to follow the curiosity of her eroticism How connecting to her eros and pleasure has opened up so much opportunity in other areas of her life (like finally finishing her book cover after 9 years!) An unlikely relationship that has been reunited due to her overflowing reservoir of eros and the potent shadow integration we did together Dispelling the myth that when you connect to your eroticism it only affects your sex life & how doing her erotic practice affects, feeds & nourishes every area of your life What erotic energy feels like for Nikki in her body, heart, soul, mind, spirit (what it feels like when she’s connected to her erotic energy) The power of reaching out to her container & community when she’s at her edge How she fits her erotic practice in when she has a full life filled with other opportunities and activities (& how she does it without trying to be perfect) How she unexpectedly attracted a lover who meets her where she’s at in her erotic practice How connecting with her eroticism has affected her authenticity and expression (hear her amazing brags!!!) Her very honoring & gentle suggestion if you’re on the fence about the Pleasure Hedonist Mastermind (or feeling reservation or fear around it) I’d love for you to SUBSCRIBE on iTunes and leave me a review — it will help the podcast get out. On today's episode, I sat down with Nikki Anderson, User Research Lead at Zalando and Founder of User Research Academy. Nikki started her user research career about 7 years ago, with a foundation in quantitative research but has since shifted focus to specialize in qualitative user research where Nikki has worked in B2B, B2C, B2B2C and has both worked as a freelancer and worked in corporate settings. After having started her career in New York, Nikki has since moved to Germany where Zalando is based. With such a robust and diverse background in user research Nikki had a ton of great advice and insight to share. Here's what we discussed: Some of the biggest misconceptions of user research Why quant or qual data alone is not enough to make decisions The trust cost of doing user research and the cost of not doing it Low cost ways to source user feedback What Nikki has learned throughout her career that she wants other user researchers to know The difference between user research and UX design Why planning and purpose are essential to the value of research How to influence executives to care about user research What a great partnership looks like between user research and product management in setting priority for what you build How to know if you're doing user research right in a well-resourced company Ways to get scrappy if you're a user research team of one How Product Managers can do user research on their own Here's the resources: Google's Heart Framework Podcasts: Awkward Silences, Dollars to Donuts & Mixed Methods Books: Just Enough Research by Erika Hall; Practical Empathy by Indi Young; Quantifying the User Experience by Jeff Sauros Recommended resources for user researchers Important concepts, processes, and terminology User Research Academy --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/productmanagementlessons/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/productmanagementlessons/support
Do you have a career-related question that you’re uncomfortable asking your peers, managers or mentors? Well that's exactly what we're here to help you with on the Habits & Hacks show – where we will address the questions you pose via email, or on our social media channels. Whether it’s asking for a higher salary, or a much-deserved promotion, or addressing a business or personal challenge – often times, women find it hard to “just ask”. Our fear of being perceived as inadequate prevents us from asking – but it causes us to pay a high price in every aspect of our lives—in lost income, slower career progress, LIMITED access to leadership roles and potential risk to well-being. So, learn to ask – and start by asking us. Have you ever wondered how to turn your obstacles into opportunities? In this episode, we talk about breaking through your barriers and owning your power. Serial entrepreneur, bestselling author, influencer, and international keynote speaker, Nikki Barua joins the show. Nikki came to America as an immigrant from India. She worked hard, learned the best strategies, and the right habits. She climbed to the top of the corporate ladder, quit her job, and started her own business. After facing numerous rejections and failures, she overcame the barriers and built up a multi-million dollar business. Her journey taught her that obstacles give us the opportunity to level-up and get stronger and bolder. How do you get the courage to make big moves? Nikki says we must have clarity about what we want and why we want it. That's what helps us take consistent action and then success becomes inevitable. Do not lose focus – it takes a lot of discipline and the right kind of mindset. Look at your failures as feedback. Keep trying new things until you figure out what works. Entrepreneurship isn’t about building a business; it’s a journey about self-awareness. You discover what you are truly made of and what’s holding you back. Ultimately, you learn how to become the best version of yourself. The three big lessons Nikki learned in her entrepreneurial journey: 1. Focus. It all comes down to focusing on the right thing. 2. Leverage. It’s hard to gain momentum without leverage. 3. Execution. It's about taking massive and consistent action. Stay tuned to hear Nikki speak about her habits for success, the most significant technology trends, and the top business skills that are growing in demand. Plus, Nikki reveals three things that have helped her succeed and what she’s looking forward to in her career. Highlights: [01:00] About Nikki Barua [03:05] How to find courage in ourselves [04:30] Leaping into entrepreneurship [07:55] What it’s like starting your own business [11:50] Habits are truly a superpower [18:30] The most significant trends in technology [22:20] Business skills that will be in demand [25:30] The top three things that helped Nikki succeed [27:10] What Nikki is most looking forward to in her career [30:20] Final advice from Nikki Quotes: “Our obstacles are the opportunity. Every time we face an obstacle, it's an opportunity for us to level up and get even stronger, even bolder, and even more of the best versions of ourselves.” – Nikki Barua “The first step to courage is clarity. Part of what's holding us back is we're not really clear about what we want and why we want it.” – Nikki Barua “I would regret never following my dream, much more than experiencing short term pain or loss.” – Nikki Barua “Habits are truly a superpower. If you look at any successful person, they are all a product of great habits.” – Nikki Barua “I'm actively choosing to make an investment of my time as opposed to expanding my time.” – Nikki Barua “Whatever you're great at today, there isn't going to be a market for that tomorrow. You have to figure out how do you get ahead of the curve and disrupt yourself instead of being disrupted.” – Nikki Barua About Nikki Barua: Nikki Barua is a serial entrepreneur, international keynote speaker and bestselling author who is passionate about making the world more inclusive and innovative. In this episode, I interview Nikki Love, an extraordinary person who lives by three words -- love, fun, and adventure. Listen in as she talks about her adventures and what drives her to take the challenge of breaking the world record running across Australia. Visit https://www.bodyshotperformance.com/topic/podcasts/ for the complete show notes of every podcast episode. Topics Discussed in this Episode: Nikki’s adventures and the life of running Moving to England and building a new life Gearing up for different marathon events The books and the people that became Nikki’s influences What drives Nikki to keep challenging herself Battling insecurities and nagging fears What Nikki does to train mentally How Nikki juggles between being a mother, running a business, and going on adventures Key Takeaways: To make things happen, you have to start working on things to create the life that you want. You don’t always have to listen to other people when they try to talk you out of a challenge. Sometimes you only have to listen to yourself and find your own dreams. If what you can do helps other people, there’s more purpose to it. Working on your mental toughness is essential when preparing for marathons. Action Steps: Give yourself a goal or a target, and then do it. Know your purpose and your bigger WHY. Keep a journal of what you’re going to do, but write them in the past tense. In this way, when you read it, you’re reinforcing to your subconscious that you’ve already done it. Nikki said: “Life throws things at you, and when things are thrown at you, you start thinking, ‘Maybe I can’t do this. Maybe I’m pushing just one step too far.’ But then I have to think again about why it is that I’d want to give it a go in the first place.” “You have to work out what it is that you genuinely want. And if that means that you journal that lifestyle that you want, then eventually you will start making the decisions and the choices to implement the results that you want.” Thanks for listening! You’re going to gain a lot of insight about writing and publishing a book on this episode. How to write a book: Nikki unpacks her process. There’s a lot more that goes into writing a book than you might realize. It’s not only about sitting in a chair and pounding away on a keyboard. You’ve got to know how to organize your thoughts, how to plan the book out in a logical way, how to build a following BEFORE you write the book, and how to publish and promote it once it’s written. Nikki Woods is here to help. Her generous sharing on this episode will help you get oriented in the right direction to get that book out of you and into the world! After you’ve written a book, what do you do with it then? It’s a monumental task to write a book that’s worth reading. Even if you haven’t gotten over that hurdle yet, you will if you keep working at it. But once it’s written - then what? You can’t expect to announce it on your Facebook feed and sell thousands of copies. It simply doesn’t work that way. You’ve got to know how to promote a book the right way - the way that gets people’s eyes on it and their wallets out to purchase it. Nikki Wood has that part of the process wired and will be sharing aspects of it with you on this episode, so be sure you listen to what she’s got to share. Why writing a book is a great opportunity for you as an entrepreneur. When you put your knowledge and experience between the covers of a book something amazing happens. People almost instantly view you as an expert, a person who knows the details and specifics of how to do what it is you do. That’s when people start contacting you to find out how you can help them with their dreams. It’s when you begin coaching, building courses, speaking at events. The book is the key that opens many doors of opportunity. Today Nikki Woods is going to share how that happens and why you need to get started writing your book right away. Build your platform and tribe before you write the book. Many entrepreneurs who become authors make a fatal mistake at the beginning of their publishing journey. They forget to build an audience before the book is even written. It may sound counterintuitive but think about it: When you’re able to begin the conversation about the topic of your book far in advance of writing the book, people begin to see you as the person who knows about and is interested in that topic. They begin to see you as the go-to person for all things related to the topic. When you begin to talk about writing a book on the subject you’ll get all kinds of enthusiasm, feedback, and insight into what your book should be about and the momentum will start to build. Find out how Nikki Woods her students to build their tribe first, on this episode. Outline of this great episode [0:30] Rosetta’s introduction to this episode and her guest, Nikki Woods.
