No. It truly is a lofty state, but attainable by all. Does not everyone at some time feel warmth in their hearts in prayer, when the soul separates itself from all things and deeply enters into itself and prays hotly to God? This movement of the prayerful spirit, although it was once only temporary, must be made into a constant state, and it will reach the limits of prayer." - St. Theophan"I feel that there is a power which is defending me and protecting me from the blows of the enemy. It guards and defends me. I feel it very distinctly; it is as if I am being shielded by the shadow of His wings." - St. Faustina

"She says that it's good when kids lose. Obviously not all kids." observes Kelly since it seems Abby is determined not to let Maddie get outshined, even if she could be bested by her newest teammate. On "No Solo For You", the ALDC travels to Detroit for Masters of Dance Arts with a group routine centered around the fall of Detroit's automotive industry? It's certainly... a choice, but I guess it wouldn't be an ALDC dance without Abby's "unique" takes. Meanwhile Abby assigns solos to Maddie and Kendall. There was a notable lack of a solo for Kalani, which Kira immediately takes issue with. Abby insists Kira is overreacting, but everyone else knows that Abby can't let her star pupil lose. At the very least she could help Kendall... or she can be incredibly rude, same difference! The tole of Abby's behavior begins to weight on Kendall, who struggles to make it through her rehearsal that Abby admits to half-watching.Holly publishes her first book and the ALDC attends a book signing party. Abby manages to belittle Holly's achievement in front of everyone, but Holly pushes back sternly. Sincerely, what is Abby's deal this week? The next thing you know she's going to try and goad Christi into punching her! But Christi is prepared for such an occurrence and won't resort to physical violence. Instead she'll go with the next best thing, blowing on her! Would you be shocked to hear that still made Abby very mad?Quotes“Do you remember the gifts Abby used to give the kids? Yes. Like thongs from Gabrielles." In this episode, May challenges aspiring entrepreneurs to think beyond logistics and focus first on the value they bring. Do you have a skill that's been validated by others? Are people already asking to pay for what you offer? She shares why external feedback matters and how it can serve as a compass for building confidence and clarity. May also explores the role of timing and personal circumstances in the entrepreneurial journey. Are you in a season of life where you can dedicate the time and energy needed? If not, what support or adjustments could help make it possible? When plans unravel, resilience and adaptability become your greatest assets in building a thriving business. With over 20 years of experience, May Yeo Silvers exemplifies this as she shares actionable strategies for overcoming setbacks, staying grounded, and realigning goals to achieve both financial success and time freedom. In the final part of her three-part series on strategic planning for 2025, May focuses on what to do when things don't go as planned. She highlights the importance of setting intentional, detailed goals—covering financial targets and time management—to create a balanced foundation for both work and personal life. How do you stay committed to your goals when progress feels slow or uncertain? May introduces the ABCDE framework from Martin Seligman's book “Learned Optimism” to help entrepreneurs manage setbacks and maintain focus. This practical approach offers tools to shift negative beliefs, refine strategies, and stay on course. Through personal stories and hard-earned insights, May explores the balance between ambition and well-being, showing how entrepreneurship is as much about mindset as it is about strategy. Can you truly define success without considering both financial freedom and time freedom? This episode challenges you to think differently, adapt boldly, and embrace the realities of the entrepreneurial journey. Quotes • “Do not be stuck in the ‘I want to make it perfect' zone. If you work only in your head, nobody knows whether it's perfect except you. But you are not the buyer. Your buyer will determine whether what you're putting out there is going to attract people to pay for what you are selling. You are not the one buying; you are the one selling. So, you can't use yourself as a gauge to decide whether it's good enough to be on the market. You will only know once you put it out there, collect data, and gather feedback.” (08:22 | May Yeo Silvers) • “You cannot tell yourself that you expect this outcome in the first month, second month, or third month. You have a goal but you cannot be so rigid that when the outcome or the result is not what you expected, you get discouraged. It can go both ways: the outcome could be better than what you expect, or it can be less than what you expect. Do not attach any meaning to the outcome. It's just an outcome.” (15:44 | May Yeo Silvers) • “Time is the most expensive resource that we cannot get back.” (48:15 | May Yeo Silvers) • “Whose happiness is most important? Your happiness. And your happiness is created by you, not given to you by these people. You need to remember that. Your happiness and your fulfillment is created by you, not to be given to you by all these people.” (56:10 | May Yeo Silvers) Links If you have invested time and money in learning the "what to" and "how to" for your events business, BUT you still feel like "something" is missing to catapult your business, perhaps having a supportive community of EVENTrepreneurs where you can bounce off ideas, seek advice from and get emotional support to cheer you on your EVENTrepreneur journey is the missing link. ‘Having a vocation is like falling in love, and it works out,' says writer, anarchist, and philosopher, Paul Goodman. Ari Weinzweig holds the title of co-founder and CEO at Zingerman's, but he is also an anarchist and philosopher. During this episode, he joins us in conversation to tell his story and share the guiding principles behind his life philosophy and business journey. Tune in to hear him challenge perceptions about anarchism and synergy, positive belief in human beings, and what it means not to think hierarchically about your achievements. Making the distinction between data and culture, Ari unpacks his leadership style and why he believes that building culture is the true work of leadership. Going deeper, we discuss the relationship between belief, company health, and the imperfect art of working with people. We touch on the simple legacy Ari would like to leave behind, how he has managed to go off the grid with his business in order to live his values, and how Ari manages to truly be himself so much so that he is a rebel against expectation. 5 Days Prayer Challenge Rules- Identify what suffering(s) you are surrendering, lovingly offering up, and uniting to Jesus' for the salvation of the world. Each time you face a difficult situation at home or work, a headache, or pain of any kind, pray, “Lord, I offer this to you for the sake of [insert name of someone who needs extra Grace].” Offer it up to Jesus! It was sent to you as Grace, for Grace. As pruning, not as punishment. 2. Remove something from your daily routine (coffee, meat, sugar, and/or gossip) 3. Add formal prayer to your daily routine (mantra, rosary, and/or silence- prayer of the heart- 15 minutes in the morning, or afternoon, and 5 minutes at night before bed) 4. Wake up to Love at least 15 minutes before your usual alarm (tip- when you pray or chant at night, you'll easily rise the next morning). Feel God before exiting bed. Be Love all day. You'll look back and know that Oct 21st, everything changed for GoOD. I love you and I'm with you! Nik ___________ My new book, 'Wake Up to Love' is a lifetime in the making (and now a Top New Release, thanks to you!). Divinely inspired. Love led. And WILL bring forth the ‘more' in you. ❤️

This builds a strong emotional connection with your customers, making them not just consumers of your product or service, but advocates for your brand. Ongoing engagement keeps your brand top of mind. Whether it's through regular check-ins, personalized follow-ups, or soliciting feedback, staying connected demonstrates your commitment to customer satisfaction. Positive experiences serve as powerful endorsements, attracting new customers through referrals and word-of-mouth marketing. By prioritizing exceptional service, consistently exceeding expectations, and fostering meaningful communication, your business can cultivate a loyal customer base that forms the bedrock of your success. Quotes “Do an amazing job, over-deliver, surprise and delight people along the way, and make sure you're leaving them with a feeling that makes them want to sing your praises from the rooftops.” “At the very beginning, ask them what a win looks like.” “You want to keep your network warm.” “When you've had a great engagement with someone and ended on a high note, you know, they're going to be advocates for you.” “If you check in with someone six months, a year, after you've already served them, and they're happy with what they've gotten, Imagine how just a real simple little check in whether it's a text message or an email and how far along that will go.” “It's just like another way of loving your customers and, and wanting the best for them and wanting to see them succeed.” “I've actually often said that we need a therapist on our team at times to work with our clients.” “Having worked in a restaurant for many years, in my early days, has given me great ability to really read people. And also to really deeply listen to people. Sometimes people just need to be heard, like, really heard.” “I always go back to intentions, you know, if your intentions are good, and the people you're working with, you know, their intentions are good, then yeah, people have crappy days here and there. And the communication might feel a little wonky, but just let it go. It's not worth getting caught up in. ” “There tend to be themes around the challenges people feel, so coming up with something that can be very helpful to people that have already worked with you. It's just again, like such a nice little surprise gift to people.” “Another thing you can do is offer a referral program. You can offer past clients incentives to refer business to you.” “You can always go direct to your customers and ask them, “what do you need?” Even just reaching out and asking those questions is a way to warm up a past relationship”

Summary: Who's heart do you have? Do you have a heart of stone, or do yo have a heart of flesh? In this day you are being created by His Word. You are growing in the Word. It's unfolding to you. As the Holy Spirit brings that anointing into our lives, that anointing breaks any hardness within us and makes His Word real to our hearts. It's a transformation, you are His workmanship. Show Notes: Today we are walking in a day that the Father is creating our hearts. Just as Christ did, we spend the time alone with our Father as He creates us. We're becoming the Word. We're hearing until it pierces us and we become. Are there areas in your heart that have been calloused over and you can't hear the Word He is speaking? By the anointing that resides in the Body of Christ, the Holy Spirit begins to rub that oil on you so you can hear His Word again. Quotes: Do you have a heart that has been imparted to you, that you have appropriated? We take the Word, it's not a matter of understanding, it's a matter of hiding it in our heart. Were walking in a day that He's creating us. ...all those hours and hours that Christ spent off by Himself. That's an indication of how our relationship with the Father has to be also… In your heart of hearts, you know the truth, when it's a word from the Lord, it becomes alive to you first. We're becoming the Word. We're hearing, We're hearing, we're hearing until all of a sudden, it pierces us and we become. Are there areas in us, maybe big areas that needs more oil? ...there's some rough areas here Ron we need to kind of put some oil on that is smooth that out so you could stretch and so you can hear the Word that I'm speaking. I might be one of those five virgins, but I don't have the oil in me enough. Unless I have the oil that comes in the organism like somebody was talking about earlier. The organism has all the oil we

“I got so much hate for this episode,” explains Christi as the Dance Moms return to the ALDC and bring the excitement back to the show. Emotions are running high all around. Abby makes the Moms sign a crazy new contract before allowing them back in the studio. Melissa remains genuinely scared that Sophia–famous for performing 54 consecutive turns onstage–will replace Maddie as Abby's new star. Sophia's mom Jackie refuses to argue or get catty which makes the Moms question what she's doing on the show. Christi makes two bad jokes that she regrets to this day. She and Kelly argue about who really should get due credit for coining some of the show's recurring insults, and discuss the difference between being tough and being mean. Their definition of mean, of course, looks a lot like Abby, whose insults toward Chloe and Paige reach a new low.Christi first bonded with Kelly over a particular phone call, and today she gives Kelly a tutorial on how to take a basic picture with her phone. She also shares what she taught her daughter Clara about the law, and how one night out clubbing with Abby sent her to the emergency room.Quotes“Do you know how many times Abby has made comments? She would only refer to me as ‘the nose.' ‘Christie has her nose up in the air.' She talks about Holly's thighs, her butt, her clothes. Her cleavage. She talks about everybody. Let's not forget Nia's long hair. I'll never get over that.” (22:05-22:31 | Christi and Kelly)“I go out with Abby one night and I get roofied. Coincidence…Ish?” (57:57-58:01 | Christi)“Abby goes ballistic. 'Christi look at Sophia!' What? You can't tell me where to look. Now, my eyeballs are only ever going to the right, ever. If you want them left, never. They're only going to the right. You cannot command my eyeballs.” (1:15:52-1:16:13 | Christi)“Chloe's very jittery backstage. She crosses herself before she dances…Can you imagine the butterflies these kids had? And people wonder why they forget their stuff. You're losing your mind back there.” (1:24:15-1:24:40 | Christi and Kelly)LinksSubscribe to us on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC50aSBAYXH_9yU2YkKyXZ0w Subscribe to our Patreon: www.patreon.com/backtothebarreThank you to Ashley Jana for allowing us to use Electricity!! Mario discusses the three instinctual domains of human behavior: preserving, navigating, and transmitting. He shares how people's biases can affect how they interact with others and how understanding these biases can help build rapport.QUOTES“Do you ever go up to a door and you go to pull it and it doesn't open? So what do we do? We pull harder and we pull harder, and then we see a little sign that says push. Right? This is what we all do. We don't necessarily say, ‘Oh, that didn't work, so let me do the opposite'. We repeat things and we do this with our instinctual bias as well.” - Mario Sikora - Mario Sikora [20:26]“Take a deep breath, don't fall into these habitual patterns, and watch for what is appealing to other people instead of projecting onto them. If you think about time with a scarcity mindset, you will always struggle to have enough of it. Instead, you should try to approach time management with an abundance mindset. In today's episode, host May Yeo Silvers shares one of her most effective productivity hacks for getting more accomplished by being more intentional with your time. Think about how much time it actually takes to do a task. Write down everything you want to do for yourself, others, around the house, for work and estimate the time each task will take to complete as accurately as you can. For tasks that you are unfamiliar with, put down a longer estimate at first and then time yourself to get a better understanding of how long it takes. Then, whenever you find yourself with gaps of time, even if they are only two or five minutes long, choose a task on your list that can fill in that gap. By being more intentional about how you use your time, even small gaps throughout your day, you can really increase your productivity. Instead of just scrolling mindlessly on your phone when you have a gap in your day, choose to use that time more wisely. You will be surprised how much you can accomplish when you are mindful of your time. Quotes • “Do you have a scarcity mindset about time, that there is never enough time? Or do you have an abundance mindset?” (3:37-3:45 | May) • “Identify what you can do in your personal life, and in your business, or in your career, that is going to help you move you along.” (5:38-5:48 | May) • “When you start identifying how much you can do, what are the things you can do in those gaps, you become highly efficient.” (11:04-11:12 | May) • “Every single thing that you do in life, not just in your business, you should have an idea how long it takes for you to do that. That's how you're able to do proper planning to avoid disappointment.” (12:27-12:39 | May) Links Connect with me at: may@events4anyone.com Website: events4anyone.com LinkedIn: www.linkedin.com/in/mayyeosilvers Facebook: www.facebook.com/mayyeosilvers IG: www.instagram.com/mayyeosilvers TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@mayyeosilvers FB private group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/events4anyone Podcast production and show notes provided by HiveCast.fm

“We remember where we came from. That's everything,” says Susan Sarich, Founder of SusieCakes, one of California's top destinations for all things sweet. After graduating from Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration, she spent 25 years holding a variety of positions within a number of renowned hospitality groups. Realizing that women tended to leave the industry around the time they decided to get married and start families, she set out to create a space where women could continue to work throughout all of life's changes. SusieCakes pays homage to her grandmothers, Mildred and Madeline, by bringing the treasured recipes they passed down to her on 3 x 5 index cards to her customers. Since opening her first shop in 2006 in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles, she has since opened in 26 locations across California and Texas, and now ships classic Midwest desserts like layer cakes, cookies and pies, nationwide. In October of 2022, she was included in Forbes' 50 Over 50 list, which spotlights women over 50 who are shattering age and gender norms across all sectors. Linday's own grandparents played a large role in shaping who she is today, so it's fitting that Susan and her legacy business is the subject of Dear FoundHer's 100th episode. Highlights from today's conversation include: The importance of grassroots marketing. Get your product into as many homes and events as possible. Don't be afraid to go against industry norms to build a business that works best for you and your demographic. How to accept and roll with being the face of your brand. Staying true to your brand and values, true to the reason you started, and trusting your gut. Quotes • “Do not let anybody tell you your idea is a bad idea. Just push naysayers aside.” (47:10-47:18 | Susan) • “Trust your gut instinct, always.” (47:23-47:25 | Susan) • “Make sure that you are being true to the reason you started out. Be true to your values. Because a lot of people lose their path once they start getting successful, or the things in life change. They forget about who they were. So one of the values of our company is that we remember where we came from. And for me, that's everything.” (47:41-48:06 | Susan) Connect with Susan Sarich: Instagram | http://www.instagram.com/susiecakesbakery Instagram | http://www.instagram.com/susiesarich Please don't forget to rate, comment, and subscribe to Dear FoundHer on Apple, Spotify, or wherever you listen to podcasts! “We're the political podcast for people who hate political podcasts,” says Sarah Stewart Holland, Co-Founder and Co-Host of the Pantsuit Politics podcast. She and Beth Silvers felt that there was an independent space for people who found themselves somewhere in between the increasingly divergent polls of the political spectrum. And this emphasis on community is what has made their podcast so successful. Growth isn't always what matters, but maintaining a reach in which you are always serving your community. When you serve your community and provide them with value, they will support you in return, including financially. Don't be afraid to monetize content, even if you've offered it for free until now. Learn to recognize what your community actually wants and what is within your capacity to give to save yourself time and stress. There should be a certain amount of ease to working on your project. To manage stress, even good stress, don't work too hard to adjust to audiences preferences, especially in an arena as fickle as politics. Keep showing up with purpose and your people will find their way back. Beth recommends therapy because owning a business will bring about issues that you don't even know you have, and you have to develop specific mental muscles for it. The community you keep around you is equally as important as the community you serve, and will help keep you going when you are overwhelmed. Quotes • “Do the things that you do well in your space, and trust that people want to support it.” (35:39-35:44 | Beth) • “Maintaining that sense of ease has been really critical to us. Know your numbers, yes, but make sure you see the full story around those numbers, instead of always thinking you need to adjust. Sometimes you just have to keep showing up, and eventually your people will show back up with you.” (46:05-46:22 | Beth) • “There is something magical about a partnership. You're not in it all by yourself. You can bounce things off each other, and feed off of each other's energy and have conversations. A good partnership is unbeatable.” (50:04-50:20 | Sarah) Connect with Sarah Stewart Holland & Beth Silvers: Instagram | http://www.instagram.com/PantsuitPolitics Podcast | https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/pantsuit-politics/id1055348656 Please don't forget to rate, comment, and subscribe to Dear FoundHer on Apple, Spotify, or wherever you listen to podcasts! On Today's Episode: You're worth more. Period. Do not settle for someone isn't bringing out the best in you and is championing the relationship. On this episode of Relationship Theory, Tom and Lisa Bilyeu discuss when it's time to let go of someone who is simply just dragging the relationship down and causing more pain than joy. They discuss how disfunction is at the root cause of any unhealthy relationship, how sacrifices need to be made to pursue both your personal goals and to support your relationship, and how you are worth more and deserve joy.SHOW NOTES:Let ‘Em Go | Lisa and Tom discuss breaking up versus giving space during uncertainty. Every Monday on her Instagram stories, host Christi Lukasiak takes time to do an “Ask Me Anything” with her followers, and this week she's bringing it to Christi's Couch. In this episode, Christi answers listener questions and gives her advice on the topics most frequently asked to her. Take a moment to have a coffee with Christi as she answers some commonly asked questions. She discusses her favorite summer reads, her dislike of cooking, and her advice for choosing the right sorority. Christi does not shy away from more difficult questions like whether it is ever difficult to get out of bed in the morning or how she maintained a healthy marriage during Dance Moms. She gives advice on everything from choosing your first designer handbag to choosing what to do after high school. Her overarching messages for everyone are to be authentic and that anyone can do anything they set their mind to. Tune into this week's episode of Christi's Couch to hear Christi answer questions and give advice on situations ranging anywhere from cooking, relaxing after a vacation, and choosing a sorority. Learn Christi's life motto, whether she still has the Dance Moms costumes, and why she chose to put Clara in dance in spite of Chloe's traumatic experiences. Quotes “Do you still have the Dance Moms costumes? I do. I don't have everything for sure.” (16:06-16:12 | Christi) “I feel like cooking is relentless. Because if you're cooking breakfast, then you have to cook lunch, and then you have to cook dinner and you're constantly in a state of cleaning. I remember my grandmother never leaving the kitchen. She was constantly a short order cook. Something about it I just don't like. So honestly, I don't love cooking. But when I do cook, I am a good cook.” (18:17-18:42 | Christi) “I feel like the first thing that you need to do after you travel in order to reset, is get yourself organized back at home. Which means you need to open up your suitcase and empty it. You need to unpack, wash your clothes, and put them away so that you don't have that suitcase sitting there eyeballing you from across the room at all times.” (22:10-22:31 | Christi) “My life motto is ‘I literally can do anything I put my mind to'. That's what I think. I think anyone can do anything you put your mind to.” (29:48-29:59 | Christi) “When you're on a reality show, there's an entire crew of people and all of these producers and everything. Everyone's whole goal is to lie and put you in situations that are going to get visceral reactions from you. So you kind of tend to have trust issues.” (34:28-34:44 | Christi) “My best advice for rushing is do not pretend to be someone you are not because you quote unquote, want to get into the best sorority. Be honest with yourself and choose the sorority that is right for you.” (41:14-41:27 | Christi) “Be as authentically you as possible and find the place that you are comfortable.” (41:55-42:01 | Christi) Links FOLLOW ME ON INSTAGRAM CHECK OUT MY TIK TOK WATCH MY LATEST YOUTUBE VIDEO If you've benefited from this episode be sure to tag me @christilukasiak on Instagram and share this episode with your community to spread the word! SummaryWhy might the assumptions we frequently make about the ‘virtue narrative' that surrounds NGOs be problematic? Aren't they meant to create social good in the world? In this podcast episode, I discuss this with Aseem Prakash, a well-known academic who focuses on nonprofits as well as on environmental activism, particularly focused on climate change. Aseem wrote an article, problematizing exactly this ‘virtue narrative' surrounding NGOs.Aseem's Bio:Professor at the University of Washington in Seattle (USA)Founder of the University of Washington's Center for Environmental PoliticsContributor to many well-known publications, such as Forbes.com, The Conversation, Huffington Post, The Hill, and the Washington PostPh.D. at the Dept of Political Science and the School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University, USAMBA from the Indian Institute of Management in Ahmedabad, India We discuss: Academics in the past have created typologies of types of NGO failures: Agency failure: when NGOs have problems with what academics call ‘principal-agent' issues, i.e. when the 'agent' - in this case the NGO -- is too subordinate to the 'principal' - in this case the contracting agency, donor or another provider of funds to NGOs'NGOization' failure: when managerialism and professionalism transform NGOs from citizen-agent and community-focused actors to contractors Representation failure: when the assumption that NGO activities reflect the needs of the communities they serve turns out to be not entirely to be trueCooperation failure: when the assumption that NGOs work cooperatively with each other to solve 'wicked' social, political, and economic problems turns out to be incorrect (due to competition for scarce funding resources).Given these failures, it is not healthy to assume that NGOs always do good. In other words, when NGOs are assumed to be ‘virtuous' and this virtue narrative is held to overall tightly, it can create conditions for lapses in how NGOs' actual performance is monitored (or regulated)In addition, self-regulation by NGOs has been helpful, but probably not sufficient to weed out 'bad apples', or more important simply underperforming actors. Quotes“Do ‘global charity chains' function like a supply chain for multinational corporations?”“When NGO agendas or advocacy stances do not represent the preferences of the underprivileged – who are already neglected by the state and markets --, NGOs may actually reproduce inequality” Resources:Aseem's WebsiteAseem's LinkedIn profileAseem's recent blog posts:NGOs are great at demanding transparency. They're not so hot at providing it.The Oxfam scandal shows that, yes, nonprofits can behave badly. So why aren't they overseen like for-profits?Restoring the reputations of charities after scandalsAseem encouraged me in 2019 to publicize an essay in Nonprofit Policy Forum on organizational culture in NGOs and how i
Nima's core values are to operate with integrity, with himself and the outside world, to understand how people work best, and to create beauty. His doctoral research was on human capital after earlier degrees in engineering and economics.Coming from an immigrant family – his parents moved to the U.S. from Iran during the Iranian revolution - he struggles with a view of the immigrant mentality He believes it needs to evolve from the servant mentality that many immigrants seem to hold as hard workers. That can be a trap and they can undersell themselves. He tries to change that with the fashion business Dress Abstract which hires only immigrants in the U.S. who come from cultures worldwide.Related to this is his belief that empathy can get “hijacked” because it can lead to foregoing the opportunity to grow, to blaze your own path. His inability to forget anything is a result of what has now been recognized as a mental illness diagnosed in only 50 people so far, Hypothymeism. While a good memory is an asset, storing absolutely everything in one's mind is definitely a challenge to navigate constantly. Nima is part of a study at the University of California-Irvine. (Listen for more on this.) Time has no meaning for him, and it can sometimes accidentally offend people. For the first 5 years of the symptoms of the disease being triggered, he felt like no human understood and he was really challenged to communicate and reconcile the personal self with the professional self. It is expressed in his painting, for example, which is an explosion of layers of paint.Nima thinks the biggest transformation we are witnessing now is how mental illness is being regarded as an illness like physical illnesses, to be recognized as such and be spoken openly about and treated without shame.Clearly, Nima is on a significant work legacy journey to benefit people and organizations way beyond himself and to create beauty.TakeawaysMost people are multi-faceted. For many, the challenge is to find ways to get the pieces to work together and/or give them space.Know what “know thyself” means. Manage your feelings from empathy to compassion. The challenge is to get organizations to approach situations and individuals from a position of empathy.Society is built on trauma. We need to educate ourselves to deal with it. Quotes“Do what you have the biggest pain for, rather than calling it love or passion.”“Find comfort in being uncomfortable.”“Time has no meaning for me.”“In the business world, things are measured by ROI, but people can't grow from that.”“There are two types of capital in the world: financial and human capital.”“The problem with humans is that we are believing creatures, when the opposite is true.”BioNima Veiseh is an academic researcher, tech strategist, artist and fashion entrepreneur – plus best-selling author of Markets with Memory: The World's First Data Science Book on the Hemp and Cannabis Industry. TOPICS:- Fungus is the key to many things we do- Communicating directives to fungus- Stabilizing the Bi-Up solution- Intention and focus really matters- Practical sessions for members are coming soon- Biome Upgrade (Bi-Up) price special GOLDEN NUGGETS:1) Dr. Zelenko speaks on the side effects from the jab in children with blood clots, heart myocarditis, infertility, an increase in cancer, autoimmune dieseases, and miscarriages. Children have a 99.9% recovery and there seems to be another agenda here.2) Plants talk to each other using an internet of fungus like we use the internet. Plants use the fungus to communicate their information to other parts of an ecosystem.3) Taser has been creating solutions for over 11 years. They are based on the same technique of using minerals to stabilize information inside the solution that goes past the cell membrane quickly so that information can then be read and acted Upon. 4) Focus and intention goes a long way in this program. We are to be at the highest frequency so it can maximize the efficiency of the directives and the communication within the Bi-Up as they shift, redirect, and coordinate all of the information at the cellular level. This Upgrade then brings us back to our original intent and design. BIOME UPGRADE (BI-UP) INFORMATION:Bi-UP is designed to upgrade your immune system so it can now detectforeign invaders when they come in. This solution allows the Immunesystem to see the invaders and send the necessary troops to eliminate them. The Covid 19 injection is a highly designed bio-weapon enabling theseagents of destruction to slip past the immune system undetected anddestroy a person's organs, such as reproductive, heart, lungs, brain, etc. We have designed two products that work to reverse the damage and stopthe foreign invaders in their tracks: One is a dermal spray and one is an oralpump. These 2 delivery systems are used together. For an adult the dermalspray requires 20 sprays on your neck and upper chest area where thethymus gland is located. The oral pump requires 8 pumps into the mouthswish for 1 minute then swallow. These 2 methods of delivery are highlyeffective and provide rapid delivery of the stabilized Quantum Frequenciesinto the body. For a child the applications are reduced to half that for anadult. The applications are reduced to 10 sprays and 4 pumps respectivelyfor a child.A 3 month program is suggested for a non-vaxxed person and 3 - 6 monthprogram for a vaxxed person. The routine is 5 days on and two off. Once amonth if possible do a two day fast or a combination of 2 one day fasts. Yourchoice. Fasting one weekend per month works for many. The two days offper month from eating is recommended to allow the body extra energy andtime to remove unwanted waste. Use your discretion on how you choose tofast and how many times during the program.Price: Bi-UP Shedding is for those who have not had the injection. It is $133.00 a month. It is to be used for 3 months. When you buy 2 months at $133.oo each, we give you the last month for free. Bi_UP for those injected is $159.00 a month. It is to be used for at least 3 months. You buy 2 months at $159.00 each and we give you one month free. BI-UP's FORMULATION: The solution has been achieved through many years of extensive research. The research has involved hundreds of reviewed science articles which has led to many practical solutions and the formulation of other quality products prior to Bi-UP. The Bi-UP formula is a unique set of stabilized Quantum frequencies. These frequencies are designed to upgrade your immune system. A major role of the Bi-UP solution is to upgrade many of the organs in the body. How does the Bi-UP solution accomplish this?We learned many years ago how to communicate with the Fungi Kingdom. The fungi have been on the earth for over a billion years. They are in everylife form on planet earth and play a major role in their hosts health and wellbeing. We've learned how to communicate and direct the activities of theselittle guys at the cellular level to benefit their host. This has enabled us tocreate and design products to improve the quality of life for everyone on the planet. All our products are designed to be safe, natural, effective and fast acting. QUOTES:- Do your own research and always watch who is funding that information even with the government, big pharma, media, and big universities. - Paul Stamets said “If only we could communicate with the fungus, how much further we would be in everything we do.” He also said “ there are six ways that fungus can save the world.”- In 2010 I learned how to communicate directives to fungus and other living organisims.- Fungus is the largest organism on the planet.- Fungus started on the planet over one billion years ago and it has intelligence.- The Bi-UP we created is like a bio thumb drive.- We need to realize we have more potential in us than what we realize. Today’s episode looks at the Law of Influence - what it means to truly have influence over other people, how it can lead to greater professional and personal success, and the way it evolves over time as you continue to build your business. Having influence comes down to how abundantly you place other people’s interests first. Matt and Garrett discuss how you can build influence with others by asking questions, expressing empathy, and truly caring for them. Having this genuine connection creates trust, and people pay more attention to your suggestions or advice once you have this relationship. From there, success is inevitable! Social media can give the illusion of having influence, but our hosts explain that real influence isn’t about the number of followers you have - it’s about the quality of your one-to-one connections and how you use a given platform to create relationships. Matt and Garrett talk about making the most of your Sphere of Influence, even if it’s only a small group, and Garrett shares his thoughts on whether technology has actually improved the way we create influence. They discuss the importance of scaling influence, being pure and genuine with people, and giving to others without sacrificing your own goals. Matt breaks down Bob Burg and John David Mann’s Five Secrets of Genuine Influence from their book, The Go-Giver Influencer: A Little Story About A Most Persuasive Idea, and they end by encouraging us to embrace a core of caring in all our interactions to become a true person of influence, the foundation for any good Ninja. Episode Highlights: Go Giver’s definition of influence - how abundantly you place other people’s interests first Influence can change over time Sphere of Influence - a group of people (or sphere) that you have influence over regularly Trying to grow the group of people you have influence over, and how this can yield success and results Examples of local businesses that have taken care of Matt and Garrett beyond simply doing a job (Meyer Crane and Passion Heating and Air) Influence begins with asking questions, expressing empathy, taking care of clients’ needs People pay more attention to your suggestions and trust your advice when you have influence over them Scaled influence Number of followers on social media does not necessarily translate to having influence Revisiting Luca Alboretti’s visit to the podcast and his ability to build connections by truly caring about people The Go-Giver Influencer and the Five Secrets of Genuine Influence True influence starts with a core of caring Quotes: “Do people really understand what influence means? And the level that this can go to?” “Your influence is determined by how abundantly you place other people's interest first.” “Influence can be situational and occupational as well. So I believe you can have influence over someone as their trusted real estate advisor, but you may not have influence over someone when it comes to other things.” “Real, true influence is when you put the other people first. It has nothing to do with you building your business… Truly being an influence in their life, and connecting with them, and knowing what’s important to them, and knowing what makes their world light up - that’s where I think influence becomes really amazing to watch. And when you start to get into those roles with people, success is inevitable.” “If you have influence over me because you paid attention or you had great customer service when I called your company… All of a sudden, I’ll pay attention to other things because now I trust you.” “Well, who am I going to pay attention to? Obviously the people who have influence over me are going to take a higher priority.” “I think that's where a lot of people get confused, too, they think influence has to do with the numbers, right. There is scaled influence. You can scale your influence, and you can have a massive audience that you have influence over without necessarily having one-to-one interactions. But influence always starts with the one-to-one interactions because when you scale it, you can have interactions that scale, that help you change your message or deliver your message.” “It doesn't matter how many people follow you on social media. It doesn't matter how many people you have in your database. Start with the people that are there. If you can develop influence over them, which, like you said, it's not a switch you can flip, but it is something that you can start practicing right now and you can start going after it.” “It’s how you show up to use and create influence in those venues.” “Sometimes we look at all these cool pieces of technology and we go, Well this is the answer. Now I get to do this. But really, what I find, is the most successful people that I'm around take that time to shake the hands, kiss the babies, be involved with people's lives, understand what's really affecting them, really get into that.” “That was the catalyst that allowed the relationship to create the influence.” “This is a very important point because a lot of people say, Well I place other people's interests first all the time, but sometimes are doing that, never thinking about themselves, which is okay. But then the relationship just becomes kind of like a martyrdom… It's okay to have your own motivations. It's okay to have your own goals.” “But when you really care, that's when it gets crazy. That's when that influence really starts to set in, and it's like a fire hydrant that you're drinking out of all of a sudden. It's like, Where did all this business come from? It's that core that you created - this caring and influence, that makes it just go to insane levels. “Influence isn’t determined by what happens in your business, it's who you are. And so when you're at the grocery store, when you're driving down the road, whatever it is - practice these secrets: Breathe, listen, smile, be gracious, trust. Think about how you are being a person of influence, and really, how abundantly are you placing other people's interests first?” Links: www.TheNinjaSellingPodcast.com Email us at TSW@TheNinjaSellingPodcast.com Leave a voicemail at (208) MY-NINJA Ninja Selling www.NinjaSelling.com @ninjasellingofficial Ninja Coaching: www.NinjaCoaching.com @ninja.coaching Ninja Events www.NinjaSelling.com/Events Garrett garrett@ninjacoaching.com @ninjaredding Matt matt@ninjacoaching.com @matthewjbonelli The Ninja Selling Podcast Facebook Group The Go-Giver Influencer: A Little Story About A Most Persuasive Idea by Bob Burg and John David Mann

December 21st brings a huge upgrade to our consciousness and energy. Are you ready? In this episode, I talk you through five ways you can start preparing for this shift to 5th Dimension Energy. About Preparing for the Shift to the 5th Dimension Something huge is happening on December 21st. For the first time in thousands of years, the stars and planets are aligning to create a super star, just in time for the holidays. But from a spiritual perspective, this means that a huge shift to 5th Dimension energy is happening. I wanted to take you through five things you should do to prepare yourself for this raise in energy, frequency, vibration, and knowledge. It’s imperative that if you want to experience these upgrades and open your mind and body to this shift, you get yourself physically and mentally ready. First, I recommend you detox from anything that lowers your frequency. This could be food or drink, relationships, situations, or even binge-watching television. Personally, I’ve felt called to detox from coffee! This will allow your body to purify itself and be open to receive. Then I want you to release your fears. By simply telling your higher self that you no longer consent to feel afraid of whatever it is you’re afraid of, you make the conscious shift to release that fear. I also want you to focus on grounding yourself before December 21st. We can spend so much time exploring our spirituality, connecting with our higher selves, and communing with everything in the Universe that we can forget that we are also human. Reconnect with your human self. Over the next few weeks, there will be a lot of disinformation and polarity in the media and maybe even amongst your friends and family. News of the Galactic Federation is already spreading and people are already choosing not to believe. Stay above this polarity and focus on your energy. Finally, you need to set the intention that you’re ready to upgrade on December 21st. Consciously making this statement and intention, you indicate to your higher self and guides that you are here and ready to receive. Are you ready for the shift to 5th Dimension Energy? I am so ready to receive this upgrade. How are you feeling about this huge shift that’s coming? Let me know in the comments, lovely! In This Episode What’s happening on December 21st for the first time in thousands of years [3:00] Why you should detox from anything that you feel lowers your frequency [12:45] How to release your fears [14:45] Why it’s so important for you to ground yourself right now [24:45] Why you need to stay above the polarity coming out over the next while [28:00] How to set the intention that you want to upgrade on December 21st [30:30] Quotes “Do you realise the energy that is coming into the planet right now? Do you realise the Awakening that humanity and the collective are going through? If you could only see what is happening to your body, to your DNA, to everything about you, you would give yourself full permission to rest when you need to rest. These are shifts like nothing we’ve ever experienced on the planet before.” [9:07] “This is a perfect time for you to face your biggest fears head-on and no longer consent to them having any power of you whatsoever.” [14:51] “Apparently from December 21st to 25th there’s going to be a huge lot of cosmic energy and light activations and upgrades coming through, so we need to make sure that our vessels are grounded enough to receive everything that’s coming in. If we’re not grounded we’ll miss a huge opportunity to receive these upgrades.” [26:45] Resources Mentioned Join The Soul Savvy Collective Facebook Group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/soulsavvytribe) Find Sarah Flynn Online (https://sarahjflynn.com/) Follow Sarah Flynn on Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/sarahxflynn/) | Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/sarahflynncoaching) | YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC1vmQ8rg-xfhHBLvqJ8qzcA) If you liked this episode, please check out some others: Episode 20: 7 Signs You are Spiritually Awakening (https://sarahjflynn.com/episode-20-7-signs-you-are-spiritually-awakening/) Episode 17: Your Mission As A Pleiadian Starseed (https://sarahjflynn.com/episode-17-your-mission-as-a-pleiadian-starseed/) Episode 15: How to Connect to Your Intuition in 4 Steps (https://sarahjflynn.com/episode-15-how-to-connect-to-your-intuition-in-4-steps/)

Trump lies. He lies by omission, by redirecting focus, by spreading misinformation, and by almost every other way there is out there to avoid the truth. However, Trump isn’t the only one that lies. We do it all the time to protect ourselves, make things seem bigger and better than they actually are, or even to avoid hurting someone’s feelings. This week, Dr. Venus breaks down what a lie is, why we lie so often, and how it kills our spiritual and financial flow when we turn away from the truth. She shows the difference between Trump and Biden in their truth telling, and which one is a match with her value system. Dr. Venus also gives a personal example of how a lie became a big mess and how she turned it around with a little help and grace from a friend. Key Takeaways: [4:10] Dr. Venus explains why she doesn’t trust Trump. Not only does he have the propensity to mislead, misdirect, and misinform, but his lack of empathy and regard for others does not match for her value system. [7:00] Lies don’t always have to be cruel and malicious. Many of us, especially women, lie with the intent to make someone feel better or go out of our way to not hurt someone’s feelings. [8:22] Dr. Venus opens up about her own recent experience with telling the truth in an open and vulnerable way. There was some confusion around the streaming of her YouTube series, and it triggered her PTSD and anxiety. When she opened up and told the truth, she was met by love from her tribe. [11:11] When we don’t tell the truth to ourselves and those around us, it robs us of energy, peace, and even cash. We end up compensating and spending even more resources than if we just told the truth. [16:47] It’s important to remember that people are human, and humans make mistakes. Give those around you the grace to tell their truth and own up to their lies before you judge or condemn them. [21:20] Dr. Venus recognizes that Joe Biden may not be perfect, but he is consistent and open. He’s also willing to admit when he makes a mistake, and then works to rectify his wrongdoings. Between these qualities and his ability to connect and relate with the everyday working man and woman, she feels this would make him a better leader than what we currently have now. [22:40] It’s not the truth you tell, it’s the way you tell it. Think through the truth you are about to tell and locate it in love. Truth telling is an art. It’s not blaming the person, dumping your emotions on them, or using it as a weapon. [28:31] We see what’s important to people by what they fight for and spend their energy on. [30:41] Be at peace with your truth, even if others don’t want to hear it! [31:15] Dr. Venus has a practice of saying her truth, and saying she is sorry. It keeps her aware that even in her intention to love, she will fail. Quotes: “Do not lose a relationship to this election. People have a right to their truth, just like you do.” “Whenever you lie you mislead people about who they are, and about who you are.” “Truth is the pathway to trust, and the glue to consistency.” “Tell the truth so you are not weighed down with any type of regret.” “If you want to know somebody, watch how they fight. You learn more about somebody by watching how they fight more than anything other time.” “It’s not the truth you tell, it’s the way you tell it.” “Truth is never finger pointing. It’s always pointing back to me.” Mentioned: Dr. Venus Website | Facebook | Twitter | Instagram “Hot Mess Millionaire” Amazon Pilot ”Hot Mess Millionaire” Complete Series (https://www.youtube.com/c/DrVenusOpalReese) Join the conversation! Dr. Venus doesn’t know about you, but Trump is certainly not her God. That means she refuses to let Trump’s cray-cray rob her of her faith and peace and hopes you do the same. Today, she focuses on God’s love and how to live in divine faith instead of fear. The more energy you give Trump, even the energy of hate, the more you make him your God, and Dr. Venus explains how this happens, and what we can do about it. She also shares the Top 5 spiritual practices to stay peaceful and strong in a time of chaos. Key Takeaways: [1:36] Today’s discussion is so we can be committed to the quality of our lives, and deeply access the peace we need to cultivate to lead a nurturing life that feeds us. [3:30] It’s okay to feel anger about Trump being our President, but we should also see it as the fallout of who we are, and the effect of what happens when we don’t vote. His White Supremacy comes out in many ways, one being the punitive consequences designed to destabilize our nation and purposely push our emotional triggers and eventually make us apathetic. [6:20] The antidote to feeling anxiety and doubt during this time is knowing in your bones that God loves you. [9:22] We say we trust God, but this is the time where we need most to display that and to help other people see that faith is stronger than fear. [20:38] If you aren’t peaceful, you aren’t in your faith. Letting Trump get your fear and anger stirred up daily is giving your power to a White Supremacist and making him your God. [21:02] Five Practices to Stay In Your Peace: Reflect on the past. See where God has brought you from, and notice all the miracles that have already happened. Mind your mouth. Be very aware of the words you speak about yourself and others. “I am…” is very powerful so be careful about what you create with it. Check your heart. Write down what is bothering you and your heart. Make a list and put God on the case. Use spiritual tools such as prayer, meditation, books, podcasts, etc. to restore your peace daily. Purposely seek God. [29:04] It may feel like God has forsaken you or left you, but even in the midst of the hurt and anger, God stays with us. Quotes: “Do you trust God, do you really trust God?” “There is a God, and God loves you, and God is bigger than Trump.” “If you love God, there is no fear.” “Nothing but God kept me alive on the streets. It is not a civil thing to survive the streets.” “Wars are fought in spirit, they are not fought in flesh.” Mentioned: Dr. Venus Website | Facebook | Twitter | Instagram “Hot Mess Millionaire” Amazon Series Free Gift When You Join The Truth Tribe The Black Woman Millionaire Hot Mess Edition Join the conversation! It is a mode of cognition that is, above all, undistracted, accepting, and (ultimately) nonconceptual. Being mindful is not a matter of thinking more clearly about experience; it is the act of experiencing more clearly, including the arising of thoughts themselves. Unrestricted with Victoria Virgo-Levy I'm so excited to share my conversation with Victoria Virgo-Levy with you today! We really got to dive in to what the realities are of being married to a doctor, pageant life and how to chase your goals unrestricted! We're even sharing a few things couples “must do” that can help to keep your relationship on track when medical school demands most of your spouse's time. We're sharing the real deal of what it's like being married to a physician! What we're talking about Growing Up To Be A Doctor Challenges of Being Married to a Medical Student Pageantry Life Growing Up To Be A Doctor Growing up in the Caribbean, from the time you're very young, adults will often anticipate which career field you'll enter when you become an adult. For Victoria Virgo-Levy that was a career in medicine. After completing her degree in Biology, she ended up in medicine, but not in the way her family expected. She found her skills met her passion in the real estate industry and has become a successful realtor in New Jersey. Challenges of Being Married to a Medical Student Although she chose not to become a physician herself, as life would have it, she married a medical student. Being the wife of a med student comes with its own set of challenges...from having an extremely demanding schedule to carrying the load of debt that comes with medical school. Being married to the love of your life is fulfilling, but there are many myths out there when your spouse happens to be in medicine. I'm discussing one or two of those with Victoria today. Pageantry Life Victoria grew up participating in pageants, which had its own sets of benefits and drawbacks. One of the benefits she drew from pageantry was developing the skills of public speaking and interacting with others from a multitude of cultures. I'm discussing the details of pageantry life with Victoria, and how it led to the career path she ended up choosing. Sometimes our best laid plans don't lead to our originally intended destination. Welcome to the Worthy of More Podcast! This episode is a little different than the ones you've listened to so far. It made me nervous and a little uncomfortable, but it's a topic that I felt I HAD to speak to. What happened to George Floyd is devastating. The riots and violence we are seeing are devastating. The criticism we are seeing from how others are choosing to process, speak up, and navigate this season is devastating. Can we not recognize that we are all unique individuals? That we are all going to process in our own way? Can we just give each other some extra grace, compassion, and understanding right now? Let's give each other room to process however we need to, whether that be through privately educating ourselves, publicly speaking up, donating to causes, or something else. I'm choosing to educate myself because when I know better, I can do better. Quotes: "Do the best that you can until you know better. I don’t want to scare you, but in many places, it’s not a matter of if you get Lyme disease, but when. This disease is as complex as it is common. To create a clearer picture of Lyme and its treatments, I’ve brought in someone with an intimate knowledge of this disease. Dr. Tom Moorcroft considers himself a medical detective as well as a doctor of osteopathic medicine. He thrives when presented with a patient experiencing mysterious symptoms. His goal is to find out what’s really keeping someone sick and help them get better. In this capacity, Dr. Moorcroft treats patients with chronic bacterial and viral infections as well as mycotoxin illness. As a Connecticut-based practitioner, Dr. Moorcroft sees a lot of Lyme disease. In fact, he has it himself. We discuss best practices to take from the moment you find a tick on you. It’s important to remove it carefully. Otherwise, you increase the risk infection. Catching Lyme disease early is crucial. Dr. Moorcroft describes the tests you should ask for and treatments to get right away. Fortunately, early detection usually results in better recovery. With the many symptoms of Lyme, Dr. Moorcroft describes the importance of optimizing everything from diet to sleep habits. Even the gut-brain connection plays a role. Dr. Moorcroft finds that simply getting positive support plays a part in long-term recovery. Do you or someone you know have Lyme? What are some useful solutions that you or they use to manage this disease? Let me know in the comments on the episode page! In this episode Safe and efficient ways to remove a tick from your skin Test and treatments to ask for after a tick bite If prophylactic treatment is a good idea to prevent Lyme disease How positive support plays a role in recovery from chronic illness Eating a plant-based wholefood diet to support the immune system What happens when we reduce exposure to wifi How to recognize the symptoms of Lyme disease Quotes “Do everything you can to have your body working optimally before you get sick.” [6:26] “What I think is happening is that the body is really damn smart. What we're talking about Sarah's Sobriety Journey Living Your Most Confident, Unapologetic Life The Importance Of A Morning Routine Sarah's Sobriety Journey Sarah has been sober for 5 years and is open and honest about her journey to getting to this place in her life. After becoming a business owner, Sarah turned to drinking and recreational drug use as a kind of relief from all of her hard work. When she ended up in cardiac arrest and almost losing her life, that was all the wake-up call she needed. From that day on, she hasn't touched drugs or alcohol. Being sober wasn't easy though and she shares how it led her to depression, but with the help of a therapist, she was able to pivot and ultimately write Sober As F*ck. Living Your Most Confident, Unapologetic Life In Sarah's latest book, Not Sorry, she is giving women the permission slip they might feel they need to live their most confident and unapologetic life. We discuss the current trend of using the word “Boss Babe” and how we, as women, only need to be identified as a BOSS! Women don't need to apologize for being who they are and living with confidence. The Importance Of A Morning Routine Sarah's morning routine starts with a block of time for herself. From journaling to working out, she enjoys time that doesn't involve emails or work. By checking your emails first thing, you're allowing someone else to run your schedule, so it's important not to start your day with them. Be in control of your day and your schedule. “Am I at greater risk of getting really sick from the Coronavirus because of the medication I'm taking?” It's a good question. Especially because many people who suffer from severe skin rash conditions like atopic dermatitis and psoriasis may be on immunosuppressants or biologic medications. I've seen this question posed a number of times online and it's something I wondered myself. Unfortunately, there isn't much direction provided to our skin rash community even from the big advocacy organizations at this point. I figured that I'd start asking around to help you get a straight answer. In today's episode, I'm sharing the response that I got from a Healthy Skin Show guest Dr. Peter Lio and an official statement from one organization. Plus I've got a list of medications that could be a concern so you know whether it's time to give your doctor a call. In this episode: Should you worry about your risk of getting the Coronavirus if you're on immunosuppressants or biologic drugs? Statement from Dr. Peter Lio on the matter List of immunosuppressant drugs What you should do if you're taking one of these medications Quotes: Do not just stop medication without the guidance of your physician just because you read online that it could make you susceptible. The International Psoriasis Council officially recommends that “physicians discontinue or postpone use of immunosuppressant medications.”

This week we bring back my bestie Christina Dunbar. Please join us as we wax poetic on the philosophies of life in the creative entrepreneur grind. In this episode, we talk shop about our hearts competing desires for goals surrounding art and family and how that can drain us over time if we are not careful. The part of us that wants more vs. choosing to be content with what we currently have. I know this is something a lot of us struggle with so I hope this episode supports you today. In this episode you will hear: -How wanting can tempt us to be absent from the present that is happening now. -How you can water different areas of your life to keep balance in your different roles and talents. -How to be aware of when you are in survival mode and ignoring the voices that support all the different parts of your heart. -Why Shereen hosts women’s retreats into the woods for 3 days with space to decompress, tech detox, and juice cleanses to help women reconnect with their hearts. -How “The Red Tent” is a book about how women were honored during their cycle and they were able to take a break. -How to stop and tune into the present moment and have no demands on you, carving out time and space to just be. -How carving out space for yourself will nourish you so you don’t want to push things away, but you are able to engage fully. -How Tony Robbins says, “it’s not the amount of time you have, it is the amount of energy you have.” -How to find the balance as an entrepreneur and a woman - when to use the energy to push for things to happen, versus stopping and being in the preset. -The difference between the pushing and chasing energy in the feminine and how knowing the difference can help you find balance. -About how to tune into how you are feeling and sort out the what might be draining you. -About how to specifically tune into your emotions with your intuition and your body to test your goals for how they are making feel. And, how this helps to sort out what is something you think should achieve versus a true soul goal. -How to feel your way into your goals, and to ask your heart and body what you want to experience. -How body intelligence (gut instinct) and turning inward can help you come to the truth of what you want. Quotes:“Do you really need more than you have right now?” - Shereen Thor “Get out of the house. But there's nothing like gut instinct. They did a study on CEOs that went for gut instinct, over fact, over statistics over all these, you know, numbers. Getting to know one's spiritual beliefs usually happens pretty early on in a relationship. Its one of those foundations of a relationship where most feel their beliefs must match a potential partner. There are times in established relationships, where an individuals spiritual beliefs change and now may be different from their partners. This can seem difficult to navigate as it seems to people as something that must be "overcome". In this episode the Freemans dive into how to have a relationship continue and to thrive even when spiritual beliefs may not be the same. Questions asked in this interview 1) Can you, as a finite human being, truly and fully understand the infinite? 2) Do you fully understand how even a blade of grass works in its entirety? If not is it possible that even your own beliefs of spirituality are not completely understood or necessarily right or wrong? In this episode you will learn: None of us completely know or experience God, Source or the infinite, so its not about having to have the same exact view as your partner. Its more about seeing your spiritual differences as a way to more deeply know each other and have an even more complete experience of spirituality through conversations with your partner. Wedding Insurance is VERY important, but not discussed enough or thought about when planning a wedding. Todd Shasha, a Spokesperson for Travelers Insurance, walks us through the ins and outs of wedding insurance. We talk about what it is, why you need it, how much it costs and some examples highlighting exactly why the investment is worth it. Liability, cancellation, ‘event insurance'...let's dive in! Big Takeaways Many venues require liability insurance. When you sign the contract and pay the deposit, you are essentially renting the venue for a certain amount of hours and the venue is requiring you to hold additional insurance covering the venue itself. In case one of your guests falls and breaks a leg - the insurance YOU hold will cover the guest, the venue won't have to deal with it. The venue's insurance protects them. Your event liability insurance protects YOUR interest, in the event of any lawsuits. Like if your clumsy guest breaks a window at the venue...the venue isn't going to want to use their own insurance to pay for that damage - they'll want you, the renter, to deal with it. And your insurance will help you do that. Travelers bundles it's special event insurance - per customer. You start with their Core Coverage, then you can add liability and liquor liability. Their policies are more comprehensive than simply getting a $150 liability insurance online to satisfy the venue requirement. A Travelers policy would cover property damage for the rentals you use, the linens, etc. The Core package also covers lost deposits. So if you pay a tenting company $5000 for an awesome tent for your reception and they just don't show...the wedding must go on, and that's why you want a wedding planner, but the insurance policy will help you recoup the lost deposit...get your money back. Everything is explained on their website and they have agents that will answer questions and walk you through each step. (We are not sponsored by Travelers, btw. They contacted us wanting to talk about their product and why the topic is good for our podcast, and we agreed! If you want to look into event insurance, you can start online, and also contact your own homeowner insurance agent and see what they offer. Compare it all to Travelers and see what policy is best for you! Basically, we are encouraging all our listeners to consider event insurance for their wedding...lots of options, big price range...but we think if you are spending $20k or more on your wedding...you need insurance.) Weather is covered with these policies...if you need to cancel or postpone the wedding because there is a huge storm, the insurance policy will help you recoup the lost deposits and cancellation fees, so that you can plan for another date. ‘Change of Heart' is not covered under the insurance policies. So weather or an injury may derail your wedding plans and Travelers will help navigate the process of recouping your deposits, but a runaway bride...you're on your own and out the money. My understanding is it might be called "event insurance," but Google has led me astray. I looked up event insurance online and the prices range quite a bit, so I was wondering if there are specific search terms to look into (or, if this is a task for a month-of coordinator)? Surprisingly, ‘purchase wedding insurance' is missing from The Knot's timeline/checklist (or maybe I missed it)!” - Susan, our dear listener asking about insurance “Even if nothing goes wrong and you don't end up needing to make claims on your insurance, the couple of weeks of peace of mind that you had right before your wedding, is worth the pitch for my clients.” - Christy “We recommend that you purchase the policy when you start paying your deposits. You want to make sure you have coverage at that point.” - Todd Shasha, insurance agent Get In Touch Let us know if you have any questions you need answered on the show or if you want to share your own wedding planning experiences!
