Celtic 3-0 Rangers. Old Firm Derby Fallout Continues! SUBSCRIBE: @PLZSoccer Despite a promising start, Rangers couldn't capitalize on key moments, with missed opportunities from McCausland and Dessers proving costly. Celtic's relentless pressure was rewarded with goals from Maeda, Kyogo, and a deflected strike from McGregor. Rangers' inability to compete with Celtic's quality raises serious concerns about their prospects this season. Are they in a battle for second place rather than challenging for the title? With Celtic maintaining their unbeaten run in the league and Rangers now winless in their last 13 meetings, this result could be a defining moment in the Scottish Premiership race.

WITH Celtic now closing in on the start of the new Scottish Premiership season we sat down this week to provide our Pre-Season Predictions across a range of categories as our esteemed(!) panel discuss the players who'll be making the headlines in 2022/23. Who'll be the star man this year, who's the next exciting youth prospect to break through to the first team, and who will be the surprise package of the season? We discuss all of this and more with less than two weeks to go to the big kick off. (Disclaimer: We reserve the right to get these predictions completely wrong and to revise them at will as the season unfolds!) Speculation also continues as to who Ange will be adding to the squad, with Australian international Aaron Mooy looking likely to arrive this week. Others should follow according to recent comments from Ange himself and it remains to be seen if we'll get the ball playing centre-half and defensive midfielder that many fans have been calling for. The Bhoys followed a midweek win against Banik Ostrava in the Czech Republic with a battling 2-2 draw against Blackburn Rovers at Celtic Park on Saturday and we look back on those matches as well as a short preview on the remaining pre-season fixtures against Legia Warsaw (Wed 20th July) and Norwich (Sat 23rd July). Tino, Mif, James & Paddy were on the mics this week, covering all of the above and more in the latest episode of The Celtic Exchange Weekly. Support The Celtic Exchange by sharing this episode far and wide with your fellow Celtic supporters - it really makes a big difference to what we do. Thanks, Team TCE.

The Game Ep3 - Partizan Belgrade To this day, this is one of the most incredible games I have ever attended. Yes I’ve been at the Barca game, the Invincibles Cup Final Game, victories and defeats at Ibrox but for utterly incredible drama few can match this game - Celtic 5, Partizan Belgrade 4. A future Dundee Utd Manager, the dad of a future Celtic striker and a guy wearing trackie bottoms - this game had it all (all except a Celtic victory). Antony and I are joined by Lawrence Donegan as he name drops his way through his memories of The Game. Here’s how the Celtic Wiki describes it: This was one of the most remarkable games ever viewed at Parkhead with an absolutely disastrous ending for a brave Celtic team. Scoring went as follows: 0-1, 1-1, 2-1, 2-2, 3-2, 3-3, 4-3, 5-3, 5-4. With Celtic leading 5-3 and going through on aggregate with just two minutes left, Joe Miller lost the ball at the Partizan goal corner flag. A quick break down the left wing saw a cross come in and Scepovic headed it for goal. The despairing Bonner got a hand to out and only served to divert it past Paul Elliot who was on the goal line and would have cleared had Bonner not knocked it past him. Celtic players and fans were devastated at time up and stood in stone silence as jubilant Partizan players and coaches danced for joy on the Parkhead turf. Billy McNeill was heavily criticised afterwards for not making one substitution when Celtic were leading 5-3 with minutes to go which would have broken the game up and killed some time. It is thought that Darius Dziekanowski could have laid on another cert, but went for a personal five. He was later lambasted in the changing room despite having scored four goals, and maybe others were more culpable for the defeat than Jacki. Enjoy…

The Totally Scottish Football Show invades the Totally Football Show for a special episode. In the space of one crazy Tuesday, Brendan Rodgers walks away from Celtic for Leicester. And consigliere Neil Lennon returns to the managerial hot seat at Celtic Park. Our regular Scottish trio of Andrew Slaven, JJ Bull from the Telegraph and Laura Brannan from COPA90 are in the studio to discuss a huge story in British football. Although the digital Jim Leighton is sadly unable to join us. With Celtic just games away from completing a domestic treble, and with Rodgers claiming to be a Celtic fan, should the fans feel betrayed? Barca Jim discusses Brendan’s exit and whether Lennon can get the Bhoys over the line. Or are the feats of the treble treble or 10 titles in a row now in jeopardy? Plus Jonathan Northcroft from The Sunday Times, author of Fearless: The Amazing Underdog Story of Leicester City, debates how good a fit Rodgers is for Leicester. And does this represent a sobering moment for Scottish football? RUNNING ORDER: • PART 1a: Rodgers leaves Celtic – the immediate reaction (01m 30s) • PART 1b: The Celtic fan’s perspective with Barca Jim (05m 20s) • PART 2: Jonathan Northcroft on what this appointment means to Leicester (12m 00s) • PART 3: Neil Lennon takes the reins at Celtic for the rest of the season (19m 45s)

JJ Bull is in the hot seat this week, in the company of Kieran Canning to discuss another seismic Scottish football weekend. With Celtic suffering last-gasp defeat at Kilmarnock, are we set for an actual title race this year? Can Rodgers rescue the Bhoys from this slump, when did they become so shot-shy and what has happened to Scott Sinclair? After a 5-1 thrashing of St Johnstone, Steven Gerrard spoke of playing ‘the Rangers way.’ Jonny McFarlane from the Rangers Record podcast joins us to try and describe what the Rangers way is. Hibs hammer the Premiership’s only pointless club but at what point will McCann’s Dundee become Miller’s Dundee? And elsewhere, which Aberdeen player is like an encouraging parent AND a bee? Plus we discover that that if you go to Gretna, you get great Scottish Cup football. And Micro Chips! • PART 1: THAT John McGinn goal (1m 10s) • PART 2: Kilmarnock 2-1 Celtic with David Wren from the Kilmarnock Standard (3m 30s) • PART 3: Dundee 0-3 Hibs (12m 45s) • PART 4: Rangers 5-1 St Johnstone with Jonny McFarlane from the Record Rangers podcast (16m 40s) • PART 5: Hearts 0-0 Livingston (26m 00s) • PART 6: Championship, League One and League Two headlines with Neil White (30m 45s) • PART 7: Scottish Cup 1st round: Gretna 2008 3-2 Vale of Leithen with Colin Paterson, editor of East Kilbride News (33m 15s) • PART 8: Aberdeen 1-0 Motherwell & Hamilton 3-0 St Mirren (40m 00s) • PART 9: Betfred League Cup quarter-final look-ahead (47m 00s)
With Celtic going for 55 (in a row) and podcast #55, it's all about the 5's. Sadly, it's another 5 we discuss, with the loss to PSG the main topic of conversation. This is followed by the question: 'Neymar. Magician or Muppet?' We then debate our chances in the upcoming Anderlecht match and further progress in the Champions League. We round things off with predictions for the upcoming Ross County game. If you would like to get in touch then please email us (HalfTheWorld88@gmail.com) or follow us on Twitter (@HalfTheWorld88)

In a week where Manchester United fans were filled with an unnerving sense of deja vu, the Team are back together to lose to the minnow that is the world of football. Speaking of ugly football, this week’s episode is a veritable celebration of aesthetics. Girlfriend and boyfriend combo, Chris and Marielle, join us to settle once and for all the age old question: who would win in a match between the world’s sexiest footballers and the world ugliest footballers? This week’s Organised fun will continue the couples theme as we see if Chris and Marielle know each other better than Jon and Paddy do in a game of footballing Mr and Mrs. Before that though, in line with Jeremy Corbyn’s anti-sugar legislation, we discuss a number of Talking Points from the previous week in football. Marielle topped the Twitter poll this week, which is unsurprising given that she offered a different topic to our usual stolid affair of drugs in sport, Kevin De Bruyne and Serie A football in the 90s. She wants to turn our attention to the women’s game, asking whether or not women’s football could use more characters like Hope Solo? As ever, the thinking person’s football pundit is here to amaze you with his endearing combination of profundity and wordsmithery. He casts everyone’s minds back to Sunday’s fixture between Watford and Manchester United raising the question whether or not Machester United should be starting to worry about their current lack of form. Chris, football’s equivalent to Chris Brunt, is taking us right to the heart of Scottish football. With Celtic spanking everyone in the SPL but being spanked in turn in the Champions League, he wonders what real success constitutes for Scotland’s biggest team. All this and much more beside in this week’s episode of A Team of John O’Sheas.

As has been mentioned on the podcast before, we are officially in the business end of the season. When the going gets tough, the tough get up and leave, and that means Greig and Krys. Greig is off helping Ian Baraclough with his homework prior to the play off final, and Krys is dropped for his recent lack of stats. Hopefully both will return next week. That means it's John and Craig to talk you through the last week of Scottish fitba and to look ahead to the upcoming games. Tennent's and Brahma are on the menu. If you ever need anyone to hype up a product, or event, John is your man. The way he bigs up the upcoming podcast is priceless. Rangers squeezed past Hibs in the Premiership play off semi final. The first leg was 2-0 at Ibrox, which was enjoyable for Craig, apart from the bizarre road closures that followed. The second leg may have been a good watch, but Craig has no idea due to watching a pop concert, followed by a little Snoop Dogg. It was this point that John disappeared from the podcast temporarily. Cummings scored the first goal, so that aspect of the charity bet won. Another £50 into the pot. Don't ask about the other bet. Next up for Rangers is Motherwell, with both sides going into the game with differing form. Craig says that Rangers will win the first leg and struggle in the second. That's that decided then. No need to play the games. With Celtic sealing their league campaign with an emphatic win over Inverness, Craig takes leave of his senses and talks up Ronnie Deila. Despite his season ticket at Ibrox being under threat, there are certainly some compliments for the Celtic boss in there. It's the Scottish Cup final this weekend, between Inverness and Falkirk. Don't worry, John has some stats up his sleeve. Craig might be going to the game, but only if he gets a student ticket. The charity bet this week is a little different. It's Nicky Clark to score first on Thursday (not Sunday's game). The other bet is BTTS in both the cup final and the play off second leg. Once again, we highly recommend signing up for a McBookie account. They are the good guys. If you are signing up to them, why not checkout accanation.com for some tips. Thank you, once again, to McBookie for donating the charity bet stake. The podcast is available via RSS, iTunes. SFFPodcast On Twitter. Why not say hello? http://forums.scottishfootballforums.co.uk/
