Another Premiership season comes to a close (unless you're in Paisley or Maryhill). After all the hope and fears comes the joy and tears as the final league table takes on an all too familiar appearance.Josh is joined by Andy, Daris, Krys and Stephen to reflect on probably the most dramatic top flight season in several generations. Inevitably, most of the chat is around the top four teams - three of which went into the split in contention and the other who played a massive part in deciding how it ended. On top of that, Steve Clarke's 26 man squad for the World Cup was announced earlier in the day of recording, so with three of the five people hopping the Atlantic, the guys give their thoughts on the men chosen to try and finally get Scotland to the knockout promised land for the first time ever.Thank you to everyone for tuning into this latest episode of SFF Podcast.Linktree - https://linktr.ee/SFFPODCASTBluesky - @sffpodcast.bsky.socialTwitter/X - @sffpodcastInstagram - sffpodcastTikTok - @sffpodcastFacebook - Scottish Football ForumsMastodon - @sffpodcast@mastodon.scotEmail - scottishfootballforumspodcast@gmail.com

We travel back in time for this latest World Cup special as John, Grant, Krys and Charlie talk about the tournaments of 2006 and 2010. Scotland, of course, weren't there thanks to a combination of Berti Vogts and George Burley, despite a Walter Smith revival in the '06 campaign. Reliving Moldova, Iwelumo's miss and Boozegate brought back awful memories.Onto the tournaments themselves, we cover what SPL (as it was then) players featured at the tournament, spectacular opening games, the fall of England's "golden generation", the French implosion of 2010, the best kits and goals, getting tore into English referees Graham Poll and Howard Webb, and two finals with acts of thuggery. Two contrasting tournaments, both full of drama and talking points that helped shape the evolution of VAR. You are so much more powerful than you realize. This episode is the evidence for that — three real artists, three specific moments where the capability they needed turned out to be something they already had.Leslie walked into something considerably bigger than she expected and handled it. Rachel had been stuck on a painting for months until she stopped pushing on the door that wasn't opening and found a completely different one. Krys had the means, the desire, and the opportunity for two years before she finally gave herself permission to say yes. None of them found something new. They found access to what was already there. This episode closes out a run of episodes where we've been building the map together — the Four Seasons, the Three Zones, the GPS metaphor, the practice of noticing. This is where all of it lands. And it ends with one question worth taking into your studio this week.In this episode:You'll hear why the frustrating moment that feels like a setback is often the next chamber formingYou'll hear Leslie's story — what happened when she walked into something she didn't know was comingWe talk about what it actually looks like when your canvas is reflecting what's happening in your mindYou'll hear what having your own back looks like in its most everyday formWe close with one question to try the next time something in your studio isn't workingSupport the showAnd hey - if this episode hit home, do me a favor, leave a review on Apple Podcast or come say hi on Instagram: @savvypainterpodcastI'd love to hear this episode resonated you. ❤️
- Disiz feat LucasV - Dandy OG.

What if renting your primary home is the smartest move you can make in a seven-figure market? We welcome Krys Benyamein, a first-generation American who walked away from a public defender career to join his family's Southern California brokerage, and he brings the kind of grounded clarity that cuts through housing hype. From LA County's “million-dollar doesn't feel like a million” reality to the psychology of leaving a prestige title, Krys shares a blueprint for building wealth and a life you actually like.Krys explains why he rents a $7k home instead of taking on an $11k mortgage, preserving capital and flexibility while holding low-rate assets that appreciate. Along the way, we connect ultrarunning and rock climbing to entrepreneurship—big goals are easy to announce and hard to resource, and the real work is designing a life that can carry them.

In this episode of Casual Chats, Arun looks back at one of the movies from his childhood he grew up watching which is the 1985 animated film Rainbow Brite and the Star Stealer based on the 1984 Hallmark cards and animated series. Rainbow Brite is trying to bring spring all over the world, but her rainbow powers aren't working. It turns out that an evil princess is attempting to steal a planet sized diamond called Spectra to keep it for herself. Together with a boy named Krys and his robotic horse On-X, Rainbow Brite travels to the princess' palace to prevent her from stealing Spectra. When the film premiered in theaters, it made $4.9 million dollars in the box office with mixed to negative reviews from critics. Today, Rainbow Brite is seen as a forgotten part of 1980s pop culture that has been overshadowed by its contemporaries. How well does the film hold up 40 years later?

Send us a textTori leads off with King's Chapel Burying Grounds. This is the oldest cemetery in Boston and has some disturbing tales that go along with it. Krys regales us with the Matamoros Cult killings in the late 80's. This was a jurisdictional nightmare due to this being on the border between the US and Mexico. This cult was present and caused all sorts of chaos in Mexico in the 80s. This cult mixed both drug running and religious belief. The head of this cult was bribing the authorities to look the other way for the drug running and then told his followers that he was making them invisible. As you can imagine, this ended badly. Krys tells us of the Red Onion Saloon in Alaska. This is still standing in Skagway to this day. This saloon is still in operation at this point but the brothel part of the business is now a museum. Not shocking…it's haunted. Everyone loves a well-behaved dog. If you want one (or maybe yours needs a tune-up), AmericanK9 has you covered. Today we speak with Krys Ruth, a long-time dog trainer (fun fact, she trained the first ever bed bug sniffing dog) who trains dogs on a beautiful farm in Davidsonville. From chihuahuas to Irish wolfhounds, she and her team are more behaviorist than trainer as they read each dog's personality and figure out their touchpoints. In addition, she is a breeder of labs who are mostly used for service work--military, law enforcement, and psychological. We learned about some of the amazing things animals can do to help humans, and it all begins with a solid foundation of training. American K9 even has the Sniffspot--a private dog park just for you and your pooch (and maybe a few selected friends). Krys is not a fan of public dog parks--listen and see why! If you are looking to get a new puppy, or maybe your dog could use a refresher, or maybe you know someone who might need assistance from a service animal-- here's your sign (as Bill Engvall might say)! Have a listen! LINKS: AmericanK9 (Website) AmericanK9 (Facebook) AmericanK9 (Instagram)

Send us a textTori leads off with the Capuchin Crypt in Rome. The monks used the bones to make works of art throughout the Crypt and the chapels therein. The next one was the Palermo Capuchin Crypt. This one is even creepier because the whole place is full of mummies. You heard me right, mummies. This was apparently a very big status symbol to be a mummy interred in the crypt. Guess what y'all, there are ghosts and they like hanging out with prettiest mummy in the world. Krys tells us of the Witches Village. This site has striking parallels with Salem in the States. This was yet another story about demonizing women. This strife ended up pitting villagers against their neighbors. Triora stands to this day and they embrace history both bad and good. Tori comes back with the island of Poveglia. Now you want ghosts, all of these places are how you get ghosts. ‘Nough said…Our Sources: romesite.com, palermocatacombs.com, walksofitaly.com, atlasobscura.com, littlehouseofhorrors.com, sightseeing-experience.com, italy-trails.com, agriturismolegrandole.com, thegrandwinetour.com, beautifulliguria.comOur theme music: Camille Saint-Saëns: Danse Macabre - Busy Strings by Kevin MacLeod is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License.Support our show on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/trendylobotomypodcast Find us at FB/Instagram @TrendyLobotomyPod as well as our blog trendylobotomypodcast.blogspot.com Support the show

"The fate of continents is written in water," this audiobook professes, and the vital role of the ocean is at the heart of this expansive listening experience. Host Jo Reed and AudioFile's Alan Minskoff discuss Richard Powers's new audiobook, narrated by a full cast. At the start, the narrators' words flow forth, immersing the listener in four central characters and the minute details that comprise their respective worlds. Sections lack titles or labels, so the distinct voice of each narrator is key to distinguishing which story is which. All six narrators' performances are equally deft; in fact, there is a consistency in pace and tone that makes this complex story accessible. Learn more about your ad choices.
