How great is it when Magneto fights Nazis? Is Wolverine a good name for the character? What did Hugh Jackman originally think the character was supposed to be? Well we brought the Rugby legend himself Dirk Hryekewicz back on the show to teach us a thing or two or about beer. We had quite a few good ones and we made fun of the old X-Men Movies.
Well we tried recording and episode on "Dark Phoenix awhile back and the file corrupted. Well we were behind on an episode and Zach was over helping me (eric) record an episode for my other podcast "The Totally Wong Podcast" (which you should listen to) we decided to talk about X-men movies along with "Dark Phoenix" since Bran was busy with work and Matt was under the weather. Here is my ranking of all 13 X-Men Movies from the worst to the best
Rob and Linbert return to begin a new journey through the timeline of everything that has and will have been. We move from the dark and moody world of vampires and daywalkers to the much lighter world of Mutants and Super Powers as we tackle the fox produced X-Men movie series. Starting as one would expect, at X-Men. Sadly this is a challenging episode for a number of reasons, both the daunting task of tackling multiple timelines and universes, as well as needing to talk about some potentially upsetting real world events. We promise that we'll try to keep it light in the future, honest. New Mutants is out now in cinemas, and with it's arrival, the end of an era... That's because New Mutants is the LAST EVER X-Men movies under the 20th Century Fox banner. Some of you may know that Disney recently acquired Fox in an industry shaking deal that sees them now own the likes of Simpsons, Deadpool, X-men and more. On the one hand, we can rejoice, because we will finally see the X-men in the MCU. On the other hand, it does feel almost bitter sweet. Fox were arguably the first pioneers that made Comic Book movies cool when the first X-men move released. While they have not always made the highest quality movies, and their timeline is all over the lace, we still got some all time great X-aneX-Men movies. So it's with a somewhat heavy heart that we make this episode and thank Fox for 20 years of (mostly) good to great movies.
