Vi pratar också om killar, snygga vs fula, hur det är att vara mamma och hur man spår sig själv i chatGPT. Det är inte ett helt orörigt avsnitt :)

Starlight Thursdays Episode 225. We're thrilled to Import Art Van Delay's export to the series. He's recently moved to Montana from Las Vegas, Not that there's anything wrong with that… And people need to know the truth,so apparently we're doing an interview. How long have you been DJing?  My entire life Nobody is going to be leave that. I mean what are you gonna say when someone asks why you decided to be a DJ?  Well, let me tell you, it's not like I woke up one day and said, "Hey, Art, you know what would be great? Standing in front of a bunch of people and pretending to be cooler than you actually are." No, no. It started out small. I was always that guy who made the mixtapes for road trips, you know? Friends would say, "Art, you have impeccable taste in music," and I'd think, "Yeah, I do, don't I?" Then, one thing led to another. Someone at a party handed me the auxiliary cord. Hold on an Auxiliary cord Come on George. ART its ART! We Gotta Stick To The Story!!!! I'm getting angry!!! Yes, Jerry an Auxiliary cord and boom, I was in control. It was like being the maestro of social interaction. People danced! They actually danced because of me! I thought, "Art, you've found your calling. You're not just a guy who lives with his parents; you're a master of ceremonies, a purveyor of beats, a DJ!" So, here I am, spinnin records, making people move, and thinking, "Maybe this is what you were meant to do all along." It's a delicate balance, like a TV episode—awkward, hilarious, but somehow it just works. Gorge, I mean Art, A maser of ceremonies? But you are a guy who lives with his parents. I mean where have you even been DJing? We'llllll Jerrrry it just so happens I've been DJing at Soup nazi's beats & eats, Festivus fest, Serenity Now! Campout, Electric Kramer Carnival and Crystal Mountain 2024 Art at least half of those festivals you made up. What if someone looks into this. There going to know… Nobody looks into this stuff it happens all the time Jerry. These days DJs just make up social media pages with a bunch of photos with hot women and boom next thing you know off to Spain in a privet jet. I don't think that's how it works George. ART! So you mean to tell me people are supposed to believe you're originally from Detroit, you DJ festivals under the name Art Van Delay and what are you going to tell them when they ask what inspired you to do that?  Inspiration? HA! Let me tell you about inspiration. You know that feeling when you find the perfect parking spot right in front of your building? That's what DJing is like for me. It's a moment of pure, unadulterated victory. So Art, what's the deal with this electronic music culture stuff anyway, I mean it's music and its culture, I just don't understand?  Okay Jerry, It's all about the freedom, the energy, and sheer unpredictability. First off, the people. You've got all these folks from different walks of life, coming together in this crazy, pulsating environment. It's like a big, dysfunctional family reunion, but with better music and less judgment. You look around, and everyone's just there to have a good time, to escape the mundane, to dance like Elaine without anyone caring. Then, there's the music itself. It's like this endless buffet of sounds and beats. You never know what you're gonna get, but somehow it all works. It's like the electronic music gods decided, "Hey, let's throw a little bit of this, a little bit of that," Yada Yada and boom! You've got a masterpiece. It's chaotic, it's beautiful, it's… well, it's life Jerry And the technology! The gear, the lights, the visuals—it's like living in the future. Who wouldn't be inspired by that?  So, yeah, electronic music culture inspires me because it's a wild, unpredictable ride, just like a day in my life. It's about finding those moments of joy and letting loose, and in the end, isn't that what we're all looking for? For More Art Van Delay check out https://soundcloud.com/djartvandelay
