The Akashic Records are a tool of reconnection, embodiment and healing — if we let them! We often hear of the Akashic Records as being up there, out of our bodies, a prescriptive tool, or a way of reading people's past lives. All of this has a place, and is important at different times in our lives. But there is more. So much more! The Akashic Records are not separate from our bodies. Sirius, the brightest star in the night sky, has been the focus of mythology, astronomy, astrology and esoteric arts in many cultures for millenia. In the southern hemisphere, it was connected with the arrival of winter and was used for navigation. In the Mediterranean region, it signaled the arrival of the hottest days of summer, and was connected to goddess Isis and the mysteries of death and rebirth. The Maltese temples were aligned to Sirius. PurposeThe highest levels of the Akashic Records are a quantum reality that cannot be explained — just like a tasty meal cannot be explained. We are approaching winter solstice and the magical time of alchemical union of the Earth and the Sun. In this episode, I share some of the ancestral traditions around the world (just a small fraction!) and place them in a larger context of our body as a holographic landscape. What this means is that our bodies, too, respond to the solstice alchemy. In the Northern hemisphere, the production of melatonin, the sleep hormone, is at its strongest. We are called to gestate, to wait, to slow down, to prepare for the return of the active and outward yang. The celebrations of our ancestors were, at their core, intended to honor this endocrine and energetic magic, while plugging us into the larger context of cosmic energies. We celebrate the cosmic play of light and darkness in a tangible, physical way. I will talk about Saturn, Sun, Earth, Christmas, the Sacred Union, vision boarding, feminine energetics, and the ways in which we can attune to the magic of solstice.
