What's the thing in your life that's quietly killing your joy, peace, or purpose—something you need to lay down? Maybe it's a job, your status, or even pride. How can we build real, honest relationships with others if we're not even sure who we truly are? Are you praying just to get through the situation, or are you asking God what He wants to teach you in it? And when it comes to your purpose—are you willing to take the next step, even if it feels scary?FRLS x AWKN Worship Night
At times, we find ourselves questioning our purpose in life, unsure of the path we should take. We may even struggle with trying to be someone we're not. But God sees us fully—our hopes, our fears, and our efforts—and He invites us to come to Him with our questions, seeking the purpose He has designed just for us.Are you willing to be uncomfortable when God calls you to something? In this episode, Leslie Cowart joins us in the podcast room to share parts of her story in part one of this powerful conversation.
Exodus 34 tells us that when Moses descended from the mountain, his face shone with radiance. Our lives should reflect that same glow. When others see you, do they notice the light within you? Here's our album we mentioned in the podcast: FRLS271 Worship Live, Vol.1

In this episode, we dive into the topic of being "busy," especially during the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. Why do we constantly fill our schedules? Why is it so hard to pause and be still? What are the reasons behind the busyness in your own life?

In this episode, we dive into the idea that there's purpose in the pain we experience in life. We all go through tough times and often wonder why we have to face certain challenges or why God allows us to struggle. Have you ever been through something that caused you pain? What did you do in that moment, and what did you learn from it? We encourage you to reflect on how those difficult experiences might have shaped you and what valuable lessons you've gained along the way.

What interruptions have you had happen to you lately? Is God trying to get your attention and are you paying attention to the interruptions that happen each day? When God interrupts our plans or our days, He wants us to break away from ourselves and focus on His plans that have a greater purpose.

Sometimes you just have to "sit in it." Ever had a cage rattling moment that caused you to have to stop, sit in silence, changes or transitions? We talk about some things that have been going on with our lives lately and how it's causing us to have to "leave the chair."
Are you wealthy emotionally where God is 100% in control of your life? Are you flourishing emotionally and spiritually for this new year? Hard questions BUT that's our challenge for this new year for not only ourselves but for you as well!
We break down the verse Psalm 139:10 with "even there." What is your "there?"
What is it you're struggling with? What's the root cause of it and is the root cause overflowing into areas of your life?

In this podcast episode we jump into Exodus chapter 3 where Moses encounters God for the first time. When Moses asks God to tell Pharoh who sent him, God replies back with "I AM."
Where are you right now? In Genesis chapter 3, God asks Adam and Eve - "where are you?" God asks us the same question that we ask him often. Are you currenlty hiding from Him or trying to find your way back? This episode we talk about the question, "where are you?"
What is God doing with you in the silent moments and seasons? Trust the silence and know God is ROARING in the silence.
Why are we always coming and going? What keeps you from being still and embracing the silence?
In this episode we continue our conversation with Tiffany Henley about her story of overcoming breast cancer and now facing her current battle with cancer. She shares how God is continuing to use her story through this battle and how she gets through the days with trusting Him through the process.
In this episode we have friends joining us including Tiffany Henley who shares her journey with us through becoming a christian, overcoming breast cancer and her current battle with cancer and how God is using her story even through her current battle. In this episode we talk about "the me God wants you to be, what others want you to be and the me I want to be." God has wired each of us a certain way and we need to focus on the gifts He gave us vs the gifts of others. This discussion has excerpts from John Ortberg's book "The Me I Want to Be."
We're talking about Daniel chapter 5 in this episode where a human hand appears and starts writing on the wall as King Belshazzar is sitting there drinking his wine. Daniel is brought in to read the writing on the wall for the king. Our challenge and question for you is,"who do you allow to write on your wall in your life?"
At our event last week we had Amy Bowdoin from "Honeysuckle Drive" share a part of her story that includes "detours and mustard seeds." The thing that we love about Amy is that she is real and not afraid to share her testimony so others can know they are not alone. Take a listen and if you missed the event you can go back and watch it on our app, Facebook or Youtube! Follow Amy and more of her stories: https://www.facebook.com/honeysuckledrive/
This is the last of our series on the fruits of the spirit and it's a tough one - self-control. What do you struggle with in your life when you think of that word? We have an honest conversation about some things that we struggle with and how sometimes we have to just flat out set up boundaries to rule over our actions.
There's something about someone who has a gentle spirit that makes us want to be more like them. God is truly our example in that gentleness that we need in our lives. Gentleness is not weakness or passive, it requires great strength and self control while also coming from a state of humility. Our challenge in this episode is to seek those in your own life or around you that are gentle and learn from them. What does the word faithfulness mean to you? Rather than seeing a five-hundred-pound problem, you see an opportunity for God to show up and show His power even through your intentionality with other people around you (yes we totally reference "Chase the Lion" in this podcast). Faithfulness doesn't mean we'll be perfect and it doesn't mean we won't struggle or make poor decisions. God knows our capabilites and He wants us to do something good with the talents and/or resources we've been given.Learn more about us and download our FRLS271 app to stay in the know for upcoming events and more!
At our recent event we had three incredible individuals join us on stage to share a part of their story of struggle to redemption. At our event in September, everyone in the room wrote down things they were struggling with and laid them down at the front of the stage. Those were gathered and read through by our team and there was a recurring theme of fear and anxiety throughout each one. We decided to focus on that as a theme for this panel along with some advice from Kay Thompson who is a counselor here in West Georgia. Enjoy and share with someone who needs some encouragement!
Do you know the difference between kindness and goodness? We dive into a discussion on talking about the goodness of God in this episode as we start closing out our series with the fruits of the spirit.
Sometimes we can forget the power in kindness even through a simple smile to people. As we move through the fruits of the spirit our challenge is what are ways we can show kindness even in the smallest ways during our day? The small act of kindness can create a ripple effect that we may never know how much it affected someone but are we willing to create the ripple?
At our event this past Thursday we just celebrated 4 years of FRLS! Paula Bodi the visionary behind this ministry shares her story of losing her daughter Rachel and how God can use our story for His glory. "We can either do two things, we can allow it to crush us or we can absorb it and let it change us."
What's causing you to lose your patience each week or each day? Choosing patience isn't easy and you definitely have to work at it but think about how much patience God has with us on a daily basis (ouch!). We dive into a great discussion about the daily struggles of being patient with those around us, family, co-workers and even at church.
Where do you ultimately find peace? It's hard sometimes to find complete peace in the fast pace world we live in right now. God promises us peace even through our struggles but do we take time to really embrace it?
Sometimes God puts people in our path each day for a reason but do we take the opportunity to serve even in our busy lives? When things aren't going so well in your life circumstances are you still going to choose joy no matter what the outcome is?
Right now we're seeing so many instances in the news, our community and around the world where people are just full of hate towards one another. It's hard to understand at times and everything that is coming at us on a daily basis but God called us to love one another. In this episode we have an honest conversation about the pressures around us especially with being a Christian in today's world.
Do you ever struggle with what your purpose is? Sometimes our purpose may change depending on the season we're in or where God has us in that moment. We have a great conversation about purpose and how that looks different throughout your life.
Sometimes we're really good about going to church on Sunday's but we're not always good about being the church when things get hard (ouch!). We have an honest conversation about being the church outside of a Sunday such as helping others and simply being kind to those we come in contact with. Let's just say, the fruits of the spirit are not easy on the daily basis but we're challenging ourselves (and you) to take one we struggle with and work on it for the week. Are you in?
In this episode we talk about Psalms 23 and the reality of the words "even though" means that not "if but when." Just because you're not in the valley right now doesn't mean you won't be in the valley at some point. The valley may be long but what is God trying to teach us while we're in the valley?
In this episode we talk about Proverbs 15:1 and how quickly we tear others down with our words (yikes). Today, there are a lot of opinions and harsh words being tossed at each other but if we focus on our own words then think about the incredible impact that can make each day.
We sat down with one of our favorite people Nicole Kirkman who you know through Fearless271 and Midway Music. Nicole fills us in on new things on the horizon for her, losing her mom to cancer, her journey through music and her inspiration for writing her new song for Midway Music "Miracle Worker." It takes work to keep our priorities in check. Are you in a season of where you're on track with your priorities or not? We talk about Hebrews 10 that talks about remembering the early days when you first saw the light. What was that like for you and do you need to get back to that in your own life?
Choosing joy each day is a struggle BUT when we do there's a renewal and peace that comes with it. This podcast is based off of Psalm 30 versus 1-4. Will you choose joy?
