Rachel Lichtman grew up listening to 1970s AM radio and watching local TV—a world of soothing music, tacky ads, eye-grabbing graphics and reruns galore. A keen-eyed and -eared graphic artist, comedian and filmmaker, Lichtman evokes the humor and beauty of that era in Programme 4, her would-be-station-turned-film she is touring alongside live musical/comedy performances. Based in fictional Golden Sands, Programme 4 presents opening credit sequences for TV shows that should have been (The William Joel Show, A Man Named Brady, Brooker) plus ads, short films and killer jokes revolving around harpsichords, the Rhodes electric piano and steamy brown coffee. Aimee Mann, Ted Leo and Dag Juhlin are among an all-star cast that has contributed to the Easy AM 66 (“Your Beautiful Music Station”) playlists and performs at the variety shows. Where did Lichtman's love for this vibe and aesthetic come from? How did she conjure up the vision and develop the skills to pull off this unique project?

Send us Fan MailWelcome to this weeks episode of ‘For the Love of Chiropractic - Resources For Your Success'. On this week show we take time to look at , dive into and really discuss protecting the number one resource you have! You may ask , what that is - and I'll tell you it is your ability, your physical ability to practice chiropractic. Not manage the office, not hire ,train or fire people who work for and with you. While all those things are important also, your main job is to see, treat and help people with great chiropractic care- you need to be able to stand next to that table and deliver that great adjustment, exactly the way your patients need it to be done. So, protecting that ability or at least the financial compensation you receive for being a practicing chiropractic physician is vitally important. It's important not just for you, but all those who depend on you in so many ways. I hope you learn a lot and enjoy my interview with A disability insurance expert - none other than Mr. Aaron Brooker of Leverage Rx.

In this episode of the Awake & Winning Podcast, Kaylor revisits a powerful and highly relevant conversation with independent journalist Brooker T. Jones—a standout episode that feels just as timely today as when it first aired. As global conversations around immigration, media trust, and political division continue to intensify, this episode brings forward unfiltered perspectives that are more important than ever. Brooker shares how she transitioned from conventional journalism into independent media, building a platform alongside her son to document stories mainstream outlets often overlook. Known for her on-the-ground reporting of the migrant crisis, she offers firsthand insight into what's really happening across borders, cities, and communities. Together, Kaylor and Brooker break down the border crisis, media narratives, government policies, and the tension between compassion and common sense. This is a raw, thought-provoking episode that challenges listeners to think critically and question what they're being told. Episode Highlights: independent journalism, border crisis, migrant shelters, mainstream media, censorship, Trump election, progressive politics, common sense, sanctuary cities, crime, mass deportation, media distrust Takeaways: Independent media is filling the trust gap left by mainstream journalism Open border policies created ripple effects far beyond the border itself Compassion without logic can create even bigger problems Political labels matter less than whether someone can think critically Small business owners are often crushed by policies meant to look compassionate Media narratives shape public perception far more than most people realize Common sense and truth are becoming major cultural battlegrounds If this episode lit a fire under you, don't keep it to yourself. Software Engineering Radio - The Podcast for Professional Software Developers
Marc Brooker, VP and Distinguished Engineer at AWS, joins host Kanchan Shringi to explore specification-driven development as a scalable alternative to prompt-by-prompt "vibe coding" in AI-assisted software engineering. Marc explains how accelerating code generation shifts the bottleneck to requirements, design, testing, and validation, making explicit specifications the central artifact for maintaining quality and velocity over time. He describes how specifications can guide both code generation and automated testing, including property-based testing, enabling teams to catch regressions earlier and reason about behavior without relying on line-by-line code review. The conversation examines how spec-driven development fits into modern SDLC practices; how AI agents can support design, code review, documentation, and testing; and why managing context is now one of the hardest problems in agentic development. Marc shares examples from AWS, including building drivers and cloud services using this approach, and discusses the role of modularity, APIs, and strong typing in making both humans and AI more effective. The episode concludes with guidance on rollout, evaluation metrics, cultural readiness, and why AI-driven development shifts the engineer's role toward problem definition, system design, and long-term maintainability rather than raw code production. Brought to you by IEEE Computer Society and IEEE Software magazine.

Have you ever wondered… what if my best days are already behind me? After loss, sickness, or life just takes a turn you never would have chosen. This lie shows up when prayers feel unanswered, when grief lingers longer than expected, and when the future looks nothing like the one you dreamed of. But it's time to confront the lie, “life will never be good again," and trade it for the truth that His goodness is still following you. Join me as I sit down with the girl who has been there, Brittany Price Brooker, yet her story is a living testimony that God's goodness is not cancelled by tragedy — and that redemption can grow in places we thought were only ashes. You'll walk away knowing He is still writing your story. From traditional nomadic dwellings to state-of-the-art airports, through monumental temples and Baroque palaces to high-rise apartments and high-fashion boutiques, The Story of the Interior: How We Have Shaped Rooms and How They Shape Us (Thames & Hudson, 2025) by Professor Graeme Brooker explores an exciting array of inside spaces from around the world to reveal how the fundamental elements of a room have evolved and endured. Organized in three parts – The Room, The Private Interior and The Public Interior – the book presents a fascinating account of how the interior has been conceived and thought of from antiquity to the present day. By calling attention to the most basic elements of inside space – walls, doors, windows, furniture, ambience to name a few – this engaging exploration delves into how private and public interiors actively shape the way we live, work, learn and play. The book spans a wide range of iconic and offbeat examples drawn from the world of architecture, urbanism and furniture design, as well as art installations and imagined spaces. Brooker deftly guides us through interiors as diverse as Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater, Olafur Eliasson's The Weather Project, the Prada store in Marfa, Texas, and Sou Fujimoto's NA House, as well as the rock-cut Buddhist temples of India, medieval European castles and ancient Egyptian tombs, to unveil the drastically different and surprisingly similar spaces that surround us. The result is a fascinating tour of global interiors, tracing the genesis and evolution of these places and how they help us understand human presence and behaviour. This interview was conducted by Dr. Miranda Melcher whose book focuses on post-conflict military integration, understanding treaty negotiation and implementation in civil war contexts, with qualitative analysis of the Angolan and Mozambican civil wars. Life can change in an instant. And, in that moment, the illusion of control can either take you down a path of fear and worry or a path of surrender and peace. In today's podcast, Laurie Brooker, from our community group in Trussville, Alabama, shares her story of how the Lord guided her to trust His sovereign plan as He strengthened and upheld her through the loss of her husband and a cancer diagnosis of her own (all in the same year). Laurie will courageously remind you that while life can sometimes place unwanted titles on you, God can bring joy out of the pain and goodness into your story. _________________________________________________________ Verse of the Week: Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Challenge of the Week: Laurie spoke often of how her community surrounded her in the suffering her family was experiencing. What can you do for someone who is struggling this week? Be the hands and feet of Christ to them! We present our review of Black Mirror season 7!Season 7 of Black Mirror feels like a return to form—but it's not a step backwards. What we get here is a fusion: the show reclaims its original soul as a commentary on technology and society, while folding in the emotional depth and genre range introduced in Season 6.This season doesn't abandon experimentation—but now, it's anchored. Each episode is either built around a speculative piece of future tech or aimed squarely at how that tech refracts our behavior. The emotional core? Still there. But it's no longer floating in genre drift. It's grounded in editorial intent.Critics are picking up on this shift. The Guardian calls it the “warmest, most human season ever,” but still sees it as “thrilling satire.” Rotten Tomatoes and The Ringer both point to a return to “dystopian sci-fi” and say Brooker “was listening” after Season 6's detour. Even Tom's Guide praises the way Season 7 hits harder—calling episodes like Common People and Eulogy some of the show's most emotional yet.The balance is back. Technology is no longer just a backdrop or a gimmick. It's the central metaphor again. And Brooker—now more curator than sole voice—lets the anthology breathe without losing grip on the message.Black Mirror Season 7 finally answers the question Season 6 left hanging: Can this show evolve without losing itself? The answer is yes. Because this time, the tech doesn't just twist the plot—it reveals the truth.Disclaimer: The following may contain offensive language, adult humor, and/or content that some viewers may find offensive – The views and opinions expressed by any one speaker does not explicitly or necessarily reflect or represent those of Mark Radulich or W2M Network.Mark Radulich and his wacky podcast on all the things:https://linktr.ee/markkind76alsohttps://www.teepublic.com/user/radulich-in-broadcasting-networkFB Messenger: Mark Radulich LCSWTiktok: @markradulichtwitter: @MarkRadulichInstagram: markkind76RIBN Album Playlist: https://suno.com/playlist/91d704c9-d1ea-45a0-9ffe-5069497bad59
