This week, I want to share with you a short clip from one of our recent sessions, and it's about something I really love exploring: trusting your inner guidance. One of the things I often find is that when people first come across this understanding, they love the idea of wisdom—that quiet voice of guidance. But a common question is, “How do I tell the difference between that and just regular thinking?” In this 5-minute clip, I share what I've seen about that, and why your system is already being guided by wisdom - more than you might realise.

There's a moment in nearly every breakthrough – one that's easy to miss if you don't know what to look for. It's often quiet, almost invisible… but it's where everything starts to shift. In last night's masterclass, I slowed things down and unpacked a recent coaching demo where one of these pivotal moments happened, and we explored: – What I was noticing beneath the surface – Why I asked the questions I did (including a few that might seem counterintuitive) – How the entire session pivoted on a single shift in perspective If you're a coach, change-worker, or just fascinated by the inside-out nature of real transformation, I think you'll find this especially useful. Big love, Jamie P.S. Towards the end of the session, I shared two possible next steps for anyone wanting to take their coaching to the next level: 1 - If you've been considering joining Clarity Certification Training and want to explore if it's the right next step for you, you can start your CCT application & diagnostic here.

Ever had one of those moments where you just know it's time to act—no overthinking, just a deep click of certainty? Last week, I had a coaching session with Kate, a senior HR director scaling back her corporate role to grow her coaching practice. In just 15 minutes, we witnessed that exact moment of wisdom becoming visible right before our eyes. (Big thanks to Kate for generously allowing us to share her session so others can benefit.) A few breadcrumbs to listen for: The split-second move that turned Kate's empty Thursdays into a full coaching roster How a single felt signal (“Oh—it's now”) trumps months of spreadsheets and planning How genuine peace appears the instant intellectual “noise” steps aside And here's the thing: just by listening in, you might even find yourself on the receiving end of your own breakthroughs around growing your practice—just as Kate did. Have you noticed how a coaching session can turn into a Netflix mini-series in about thirty seconds? Your client starts describing what happened, the cast of characters grows, sub-plots multiply… and before you know it, you're as tangled in the narrative as they are.  When we get lost in the story, it's hard to help them find the way out. In this week's short clip I share the mindset shift that keeps me from being “hypnotised by the content” and lets me hear what's really going on. A few hints of what's inside: - The unexpected move I make before a client even finishes their first sentence. - A “prehistoric” listening lens that slices straight through any story. - Three simple words that open the door to genuine insight. - This quick listen might change the way you hear every conversation. This week for the podcast, I'm sharing something profoundly meaningful to me - an extract from a 2020 workshop on the topic of True Identity featuring two extraordinary mentors and dear friends, Chip and Jan Chipman. At the end of last year, I received the sad news that Chip had passed away. Chip and his wife Jan have been a profound influence in my life and understanding of the principles behind clarity. Their insights into “the beautiful feeling” and “who you really are” continue to shape the way I live, coach, and share this understanding with others. Towards the end of this clip, Chip shares one of my all-time favorite stories—the moment he and Jan realized they were destined to share the principles with the world. It's a story that has sparked deep insights for so many, and I wanted to make it accessible to everyone in our community. In this session, we explore: The profound connection between “the beautiful feeling” and understanding your true identity. How realizing the beauty and innocence within yourself opens the door to seeing it in others. The power of listening deeply and letting life guide you to what's next. And much, much more. The live participants asked some incredibly powerful questions that sparked remarkable insights throughout the session. This episode is an opportunity to reconnect with the wisdom and intelligence within you—and to reflect on what truly matters. I hope this conversation touches you as deeply as it has touched me—and that it inspires new insights into your own journey. Tons of love, Jamie

This week, I'm sharing a reflection on a topic that's fascinated me for a long time: vision, purpose, and the question of goals. Once we come into contact with the principles understanding, many of us discover that happiness isn't tied to achieving goals, and this realization can be incredibly freeing.  But sometimes, we risk throwing the baby out with the bathwater, thinking that if life doesn't need to look a certain way for us to be okay, then goals don't matter at all. It turns out that (as with most things) there are subtleties at play here. In this session, I explore: Why your dreams, heart's desires, and creative impulses are a vital expression of life itself. How honoring your purpose and collaborating with life can lead to clarity and direction in surprising ways. A recent breakthrough my team and I had when we reconnected with the wisdom and intelligence within us—and how it's shaping our work. It turns out that when it comes to the goals that are deeply aligned with who you most truly are and what you're most inspired to create, there's a perspective that can be profoundly helpful. That's what we explore here: I hope it sparks fresh insights into how you approach your own vision, purpose, and goals. Tons of love, Jamie

A while ago, I was asked a bold question: “How do you know that people have innate health and wellbeing? How do you know this is true?” It's a question I've spent years exploring, and here's the thing: There are no sacred cows in this understanding. If you're familiar with my work, you'll know I often reference the principles behind clarity.  These principles don't require belief or blind faith—if they're “true” then they should be there to be seen, so they're fair game to be tested, questioned, and explored deeply. This week's podcast episode is all about that. It's an extract from a call in one of my advanced programs, where we explore: The two ways I've come to know these principles are true—through personal insight and universal application. A powerful story that illustrates how realization can instantly align us with reality. Why the principles of clarity, wellbeing, and resilience aren't just ideas—they're foundational truths that hold up to scrutiny.       When the event hosts asked me to deliver the final keynote speech at this year's Viva Event, I asked them what gift they'd love the participants to walk away from the conference with. Their answer inspired the title of my talk: Troubleshooting Enlightenment - How to Keep the Feeling Alive When You're Back in the Real World. During the talk, I shared: What gets in the way of that feeling staying with you, How to 'reconnect' to the principles, even in the midst of life's challenges, Practical insights to help you keep showing up with clarity and ease, and Insights for those looking to share the 3Ps professionally. So I invite you to ask *yourself* this question if you've ever wondered where the feeling goes: Q: How do you keep ‘the beautiful feeling' alive when you're back in the real world? This is exactly what today's episode is all about, featuring the full recording of my keynote. When I listened to the recording myself, I picked up on the Viva vibe of fun and playfulness throughout the episode. As well as being really enjoyable (if I say so myself) I heard from multiple people that they came away from the session with a quiet mind and new, fresh insights on the principles and what they make possible. There's something else you'll find relevant if you're a coach or therapist: During the talk, I asked who had asked themselves these questions: Why doesn't everyone know this? That's the question I hear most often from people when they first catch a glimpse of the principles, followed by... How can I get this out there? It was almost everyone in the audience (around 200 people). So, during my talk, I shared some of the distinctions and 'mindsets' that can make you unusually good at having a transformational impact with this understanding and experiencing more of the feeling in your own life. Because as Sydney Banks said: “The more you help others, the more you help yourself. Believe me, that's really true. The more you help others, the better the feeling you will get.” Delivering this speech made me realize how much more we can do to bring these insights into practical, transformative action for ourselves and the world. My team and I are already moving in this direction—more to come soon.

With that in mind, I've decided that in this season of the 'The Thriving Coaches' podcast, I'm going to be having conversations with people who can share insights to help us navigate this rapidly changing landscape from a psychological and spiritual perspective.   My first guest is Jeff Booth, a friend whose work I've been exploring for several years. Jeff is a bestselling author, tech entrepreneur and a very deep thinker. He's one of the founding partners of "Ego Death Capital", a fund for investing in technology startups, and Jeff coaches and mentors the tech entrepreneurs and teams the fund invests in.    And here's the thing that had me realise he'll be a great guest for the podcast.   I was reading his superb book, "The Price of Tomorrow", and many of the things he said let me know that Jeff understands something worth knowing about who we really are. Then, as I listened to some of his interviews, I realised he has a very practical understanding of "how life works" that I'd love to explore more deeply with him, and to share with you.    One thing: I had to listen to Jeff share his perspective a number of times before I really *got* what he's pointing to, so this may be one you want to come back to again and again. As a result, you'll be able to increase your impact-confidence and make a bigger difference (it's a lot easier to help someone when you understand the landscape.) As a lovely side-effect, you'll start seeing through your *own* limiting beliefs so you can create the results that truly matter to you as well as your clients. You're going to be getting a felt sense of the nature of true identity (this is crucial, because this is one of the main ‘leverage points' you have to share with your clients). You'll also be learning the linguistic and sensory structure of limiting beliefs (language is a doorway into your client's world, so I'll be showing you specific questions you can ask to uncover what's been holding them back until now).  You'll be learning about the paradoxical nature of double-binds, and why most coaches innocently end up reinforcing the bind, rather than dissolving it (true story!)  You'll learn how to point people to their true identity and their innate capacity for realisation, the keystone for truly transformational impact. People regularly cry tears of relief when you help them see through their perceived limitations, and wake up to the truth of who they really are.   While this one-day workshop will be suitable for coaches and therapists of all skill and experience-levels, it's going to be of particular interest to experienced coaches who are looking to take their impact to a new level.   There will be several belief-change demonstrations, and everyone will have the opportunity to shift their own most pernicious beliefs. As I mentioned, it's on Friday May 10th via Zoom, and there's an earlybird price when you book your place by this Thursday May 2nd. Just go to www.JamieSmart.com/belief to learn more and register now. That's www.JamieSmart.com/belief    So now to the coaching demo and one-year followup..

Hi. I'm Jamie Smart. Welcome to the podcast. This episode is a coaching demonstration I did at one of my recent “Coaching Impact Accelerator” workshops. The Coaching Impact Accelerators are taster sessions for people who are seriously considering joining one of my larger programmes to have an experience of what it's like to work with me. The sessions include a variety of elements, including a coaching demo with one of the participants. The demo you're about to hear was with Caroline Delaney, a Mental Health and Wellbeing Educator who wanted to get clarity on purpose and direction in her work life. And as you'll hear, what started out seeming like it was about “practical stuff” turned out to be about something much deeper that affects many coaches and changeworkers; the question about whether or not they're good enough. It turns out that the “Am I good enough?” question typically includes a confusion of two categories: skill-level and identity-level.   After the session, Caroline wrote to me about it, saying, “it opened what I can only visually describe as a parting of the seas (like in the moses films lol) to drop in at a deepest level YOU ARE ENOUGH. That's what dropped in and I'm sitting with it so just wanted to share that and say thank you… I can't for the life of me remember the metaphor you used but that space allowed for the hearing of those words to land

Hi. I'm Jamie Smart. Welcome to the podcast. This episode is called, “Wisdom Doesn't Have Rules”, and it's a recording from the Clarity Coaching Experience event we held last month. The theme for the event was focused on increasing your confidence as a coach, what I call “Impact Certainty”, and it was a great weekend. And one of the things we did was I had ‘fireside chat' conversations with Clarity Coaches who are making a big difference in the world, and I picked their brains about their impact with their clients, and how this understanding has helped them increase that. So in this podcast, you're going to be hearing one of those, a conversation I had with my dear friend and colleague, Sam Goldfinch.  Sam is an educator, a coach, and an explorer in the field of spirituality, transpersonal psychology and addiction. His work takes him many places, but at the core of it is setting people free so they can see the beauty of who they really are. His podcast 'Present & Sober' is one of his deep passions, as are his coaching offerings, Rebel Spirituality and Sober Rebellion. And one of the things that really touched people in the audience when we had this conversation was when we got onto the topic of there being no rules for wisdom, so I'm excited to share it with you.   Just before we get to that, I wanted to mention that the doors are now open for the September 2023 intake of our flagship Clarity Certification Training programme.    Clarity Certification has recently been accredited by the International Coaching Federation (the ICF) as a provider of Continuous Coach Education, so if you're already an ICF-certified coach, you can use the programme to earn CCE units. Either way, you can take part in CCT with full confidence that the programme is fully accredited by the ICF as a Continuous Coaching Education provider. And there's a special earlybird price if you book your place by the end of May. By the way, the first 12 places have already been taken, so there are only 24 places left. I've called this episode, “Coaching in the Midst of Crisis”, and it's a recording from the Clarity Coaching Experience event we held earlier this month. The theme for the event was “Increasing your Impact Certainty” and it was a beautiful weekend. We had coaches joining us from all around the world, and there was a lovely sense of community, with lots of profound insights. So in this podcast, you're going to be hearing one of those, a conversation I had with my dear friend and colleague, Mahima Shrestha. Now, you may have seen an amazing conversation I had with Mahima a few years ago when I interviewed her about her experience of the 2015 Nepal earthquake. That was right at the start of her journey as a coach, and since then, she's developed extensive experience in coaching individuals and organizations through crisis. Mahima works with entrepreneurs, innovators, activists, and changemakers- bringing bright people together to solve complex problems. And you're going to hear how her certainty about what people have going for them is fundamental to the difference she makes with clients. I'm Jamie Smart - welcome to the podcast. And this is going to be a fun one because you're going to hear Jason Marc Campbell help me ‘unpack' my approach to sales and enrolment.  But first, a question: Is it really possible to genuinely *love* selling & enrolment? Most people are allergic to selling, and I understand why. Most of our reference experiences of sales are of it being done badly, right? An image that gets reinforced by media stereotypes (used cars, double-glazing etc). So is it really possible to 'fall in love' with selling and enrolment? Good news; yes it is. I know, because I had to get this handled in order to grow my training and coaching business, and I've helped thousands of other coaches to do the same. Earlier this month, I was interviewed by podcaster Jason Marc Campbell. Jason runs the ‘Selling with Love' podcast and it was a great chance to explore what it takes to genuinely love selling. Some of the things we covered included… - The importance of relationship, and why it's such a crucial value - The two key things you have to have to enroll a coaching client - The 5 Question Pricing Model and how to use it - How to frame your enrolment conversations from the very beginning - My rule of thumb for how much time people need to spend with you before they're ready to work with you You may have heard me say that my aim is to be practical without being prescriptive, leverage spiritual principles without being woo-woo, to have a big impact without being earnest and to share a good feeling in the process. I reckon this interview hit all those notes so I'm sharing it on the podcast.   By the way, at the end of this month, I'm going to kick off the only Thriving Coaches Blueprint programme we're going to be running this year, and the last one I'm ever going to run in the 12-week form we've taken over 500 coaches, therapists and trainers through over the past 8 years.   As you may know, I love unpacking what I do; it really lights me up, so for the first time ever, over the course of this month I'm going to be ‘unpacking' my ‘simple, effective, fun' launch process and showing you how it all applies to getting clients and growing a coaching business. Teaching subtractive psychology to the brass at NATO   Welcome to the podcast; I'm Jamie Smart, and I've really been looking forward to this one.  Last summer, in August 2021, I flew to Rome to deliver a keynote speech to 80 military and civilian personnel at the NATO Defense College. My brief was to help them have greater clarity, less stress, more productivity and stronger professional relationships (the college has staff from 20 member states, so good communication is essential). There was one problem: my contact warned me that the military personnel wouldn't enjoy my talk. He explained these were experienced senior officers (colonels, generals etc) who already felt they had all the EQ they needed. He said they'd likely be checked out and checking their watches during my session. So here's the thing: I love a challenge. I made it my mission to get everyone fully engaged and have a big impact as I shared the principles with them. The topics we covered ranged from from Napoleon to Netflix, from strategic insight to the unsuspected superpowers everyone has. It was the first live in-person talk I'd done in over 18 months (because of lockdown). For the first 10-15 minutes, you may be able to hear the adrenaline in my voice, but this ended up being a great teaching point when we talked about the link between rabbits and your innate capacity for handling stress    My aim is always to be practical without being prescriptive, leverage spiritual principles without being woo-woo, to have a big impact without being earnest and to share a good feeling in the process, so I hope this keynote meets these criteria for you. #103 - Unpacking the Launch Process for Getting Coaching Clients & Filling Programmes

Play Episode Listen Later Aug 31, 2022 10:01

Revealing how the magic trick is done TL;DR - I'm going to 'unpack' the launch process I've been using to fill coaching programmes for the past few years and show you how you can apply those principles to get 1:1 clients and grow your coaching business. Sound good? Read on… When I started my first coaching business, I didn't know much about business. Marketing was a mystery and I hated selling. As part of the story of how that changed, I wanted to tell you why I haven't been very active in this FB group this year. Partly it was because I've been working on the 10th-anniversary edition of my book CLARITY, but there was also something else going on… I realised at the end of last year that I was spending more time running my business (marketing, operations, filling programmes etc) than I was doing the stuff I really love, things like: - Exploring and sharing the principles behind clarity - Teaching: Working with groups and individuals - Following my curiosity, passion and fascination - Going for walks with my beloved Emma McDevitt - Hanging out with family, friends and other people I love - Reading books, studying whatever I'm fascinated by and making the space for insight - Basically, freedom! This was a problem for two reasons: 1) The whole reason I started my business was to have the freedom to do what I love! 2) I always want to practice what I preach, and I was running the risk of being a bad example to the coaches in this group See, I'm assuming that the whole reason you got into coaching, therapy or group work is because you're passionate about it, right? The only reason I even have a business is so I've got the time, money and ‘container' to do the stuff I'm passionate about. I want my work to be a joy, and if it isn't, then I'm not doing it right. Basically (dodgy metaphor alert!) if you're putting the business cart before the passion horse, you've fallen into a trap. It's a trap I've fallen into on a number of occasions, and when I saw it was happening last year, I called time on it. I decided to find out what happens when I introduce a zero-tolerance policy for stress, pressure and urgency in my business. I announced I wasn't going to be running our Clarity Certification Training (CCT) in 2023. This meant I didn't have to spend any time in 2022 doing anything to fill that or any other programme. Instead, I delivered the 2022 CCT programme (I love teaching), delivered my Advanced programme (I really love teaching cool advanced stuff) and continued delivering my monthly Laser-Coaching sessions in ClarityPro (I love coaching in a group context). I appeared on various podcasts and interview series (I love being interviewed) and created the space for insight. As you may already know, my ‘mission' is to awaken people and support them in awakening others. That's one of the reasons I love working with coaches, therapists and trainers. By waking coaches up to who they are and what they've got going for them, I can share the principles behind clarity with many more people than I could personally. Like I said earlier, when I first started my coaching business, marketing was a mystery and I hated selling. So I learned about marketing. In 2015, I did the pilot of something that would become my Thriving Coaches Blueprint programme. We had a great group of people, but something strange happened… People came up to me during the programme and said, “I love the way you teach; you're nothing like your marketing!” Getting this genuine compliment was bittersweet. Every time I heard it, I felt bad about my marketing; I wanted it to be a true reflection of the work I'm passionate about! So I knew I had to change my game. Over the years, I experimented with various ways of filling the programme. By 2020, I had it boiled down to a launch structure that allowed me to do lots of teaching (which I love) as part of the launch process. But the launch process itself had tons of moving parts, and lots of bits that needed to be done ‘right'. While it was lots of fun, it didn't have as much of the feeling of peace and well-being that I love in my teaching. I wanted something more simple, enjoyable and easeful. Anyway, back to the present day. Over the past weekend, I had an insight and realised what I was inspired to do. Over the next 30 days, I'm going to do a simpler, easier, more enjoyable launch process while I 'unpack' the essential elements of how to fill coaching programmes and get 1:1 clients and grow your coaching business. I'm literally going to be explaining what I'm doing *while* I'm doing it. At the end of the month, I'm going to kick off the only Thriving Coaches Blueprint programme we're going to be running this year, and the last one I'm ever going to run in the 12-week form we've taken over 500 coaches, therapists and trainers through over the past 8 years. And here's the thing: While I'm going to be ‘unpacking' launches and showing you how it all applies to growing your coaching business, I don't know how many people are going to sign up for the Thriving Coaches Blueprint I'm starting at the end of the month. But whether it's 8 people or 48 people, my commitment is to enjoy the journey every step of the way between now and then and beyond. I want the whole thing to be a joy for me AND for you. And so I was reflecting on what's going on for me when I'm being most myself and having the biggest impact with people because that's what I want to bring to the fore. Here's my ambition: I want you to experience me as being practical without being prescriptive, spiritual without being woo-woo, impactful without being earnest, and sharing a really good feeling in the process. And if I want you to experience that, I need to go there first myself. I'm going to be doing my best to embody and model for you the qualities that are at the heart of growing a successful coaching business. These include: - Building relationships by giving people an experience of you - Living and working in the feeling you want to share with others - Doing the things you're passionate about - Playing to your strengths and creating massive value - Being guided by realisation, wisdom and insight - Being of service to others - Doing all of this with honesty, simplicity and authenticity - Having fun!!!!! I'm going to be doing this all month, and it's all going to be free of charge. Some of it will be planned, and some will be spontaneous and on-the-fly. This is a brand new experiment for me, and the cool thing about experiments is when you do one, you always get a result (though it may not be the result you expected!) Q: Does this sound like an interesting experiment to you? If it does, let me know in the comments on this post in the Thriving Coaches Community here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/claritylifecommunity/posts/2905539916418479/ Big love Jamie PS I'll be doing a Facebook Live tomorrow (Wednesday, August 31st) at 3:30 pm UK (7:30 am PT, 10:30 am ET) to get this show on the road! Welcome to the podcast. I'm delighted to present this episode, “Living a Beautiful Life” with Jan and Chip Chipman. The theme for the ClarityLive conference it was recorded at was “How to make 2022 your most beautiful year yet” and it was really lovely. We had people joining us from all around the world, and there was a great sense of community, with lots of profound realisations.    And one of the highlights of the weekend was my session with my dear friends, mentors, colleagues and collaborators, Jan and Chip Chipman. Jan, Chip and I met nearly 13 years ago and have been friends ever since. We've run retreats together in the Canary Islands and mainland Spain. They spent years being mentored by Sydney Banks, and one of the things you're going to love about this conversation is the feeling they bring. Chip also tells me favourite Syd Banks story in this session, so I hope you enjoy that too.   Just before we get to that, I wanted to mention that the doors are about to close for the final intake of  our flagship Clarity Certification Training programme. I say ‘final' because as you may have heard, I've decided to stop all business activities except for delivering programmes that I already have in the calendar for 2022. And I'm doing this so I have the time to write the second edition of my book CLARITY, and to create the space for what's going to come next. You know, when I first came to the principles, it was relatively unknown, and very few people knew how to share this understanding with others. And it was clear to me that we needed a cadre of highly-skilled coaches, trainers and change-workers who could share this understanding and have a big impact with their clients.    Ten years on, and we've trained over 300 Clarity Coaches and I couldn't be more delighted. We now have that cadre of highly-skilled people with a deep understanding in place. Now it's time to get these principles out into the world in a bigger way, and I need the space to do that, so…    This is the last time I'm going to be delivering Clarity Certification Training. 30 of the 36 places are now taken, so there are 6 places left as I speak. And I'm really looking for leaders who want to take this understanding out into the world at a time when there's never been a greater need for it. And for the first time ever, I've added a massive bonus package worth over £13,000, including the chance to sit in on a 3-day coaching intensive with a corporate client, later this year.   And Jan and Chip Chipman are two of the teachers who do Masterclasses on the CCT programme, as well as mentoring our Advanced Clarity Coaches.    So if you want to join me for the last ever Clarity Certification Training, go to www.JamieSmart.com/coach   So now to the episode.

And one of the things we did was I had ‘fireside chat' conversations with Certified Clarity Coaches who've been having a big impact in the world, and I picked their brains about what it means to live a beautiful life, and how this understanding has helped them do exactly that. And my idea for this was that we would be talking shop; the kind of conversation that I have with my colleagues over a coffee, and that most people never get to hear. So in this podcast, you're going to be hearing one of those, a conversation I had with business owner & entrepreneur Charlie Madison.    Just before we get to that, I wanted to mention that the doors are now open for the final intake of our flagship Clarity Certification Training programme. I say ‘final' because as you may have heard, I've decided to stop all business activities except for delivering programmes that I already have on the calendar. And I'm doing this so I have the time to write the second edition of my book CLARITY and to create the space for what's going to come next. We have that cadre of highly-skilled people with a deep understanding in place. Now it's time to get these principles out into the world in a bigger way, and I need the space to do that, so…    This is the last time I'm going to be delivering Clarity Certification Training. 26 of the 36 places are now taken, so there are 10 places left as I speak. And I'm really looking for leaders who want to take this understanding out into the world at a time when there's never been a greater need for it. And for the first time ever, I've added a massive bonus package worth over £13,000, including the chance to sit in on a 3-day coaching intensive with a corporate client, later this year.   And we have an EarlyBird price so you can save up to £1,500 when you book your place by Monday, January 24th. Just go to www.JamieSmart.com/coach to learn more.   And Clarity Certification Training is the programme Charlie did a couple of years ago when he was earlier in his journey. So now to the episode.

    #098 - The 3 Principles at work: Louise O'Dalaigh

I'm Jamie Smart - welcome to the podcast. In this episode you're going to be hearing something I'm very happy to share with you. It's the recording of a conversation I had with Clarity Coach Louise O'Dalaigh at the last ClarityLive event a few months ago. Louise is trained as a nurse and has spent the last 30 years working in the healthcare field. Her current role is as a Quality Improvement Lead for an NHS organisation with over 10,000 staff. So it was a real treat to be able to have one of my ‘fireside chat' conversations with her and find out the kind of difference the principles understanding is making in her life and in her organisation.   Just before we get to that, a bit of housekeeping. I'm working on the second edition of my book, CLARITY, and I had a realisation. I realised that just as the release of CLARITY planted a seed that grew into everything I've been doing for the past 10 years, I now want to create the space for the seeds I'll be planting with the second edition. So I've made a decision. Between now and July 2022, I'm stopping all business activities except the delivery of the programmes that are already in the calendar for 2022. I have the strong sense that there's something new getting ready to emerge, and I want to create room for it. This means that the Clarity Certification Training I do starting at the end of this month - January 2022 may be the last one I ever do (or at least the last one I do in its current form).  It seems to me that the world has never had a greater need for this understanding, and that conditions have never been better to share it as widely as possible. In fact, the technologies that are playing a part in creating this crisis may also have the capacity to play a part in its solution. I don't know what part I'm going to play in all of this.   What I do know is that I'm interested in exploring emerging technologies and new models to align communities as we take this understanding out into the world in a brand new form.  To the people who have been through (or are preparing to go through) Clarity Certification Training, you're not just early adopters; you're trailblazers, and I'm grateful to be on the journey with you. In Syd Banks' final talk, “The Ultimate Answer”, he says that when this gets out into the world, “literally, it will help millions of people.” The more I've learned from Syd's work, the more I've learned to take him literally. And I think it might just be time. So, there are 11 places left on the Clarity Certification Training programme, and I've decided to really push the boat out, and added some extra bonuses including the chance to sit in on a live 1:1 coaching intensive. If you want to find out more, just go to www.JamieSmart.com/coach that's www.JamieSmart.com/coach    So now to the episode.

I'm Jamie Smart. Welcome to the podcast.    The recording you're about to hear is a conversation with my dear friend and colleague Garret Kramer on the state of the world today.   It often seems to me like we're living in the pages of a Marvel comic, and a lot has changed since Garret & I last spoke together in public, so it seemed like a good time to catch up.   We had a great conversation, and we covered topics as wide-ranging as the 3 principles, authoritarianism, true identity, various mandates and much more.   Just before we get to that, I wanted to mention that the doors are now open for the January 2022 intake of our flagship Clarity Certification Training programme. Hi, I'm Jamie Smart. Welcome to the podcast. In this session, we're going to do something a little bit different. Earlier in the week, I put up a post on my Thriving Coaches community asking for questions in preparation for a Q&A Session. The question I asked was: "Coaches, what are the questions you'd love to ask about how to build thriving and successful coaching business?" So we've got fantastic answers. We've got: - How do you actually create a coaching package? - How do you find coaching clients if you live somewhere, where coaching isn't a part of the culture? - What are the doubts that stop people from signing up with a coach? - How to choose a price for my coaching package? I don't know what to charge? - How do you find coaching clients when you live somewhere where there aren't many people? - What if I'm uncomfortable with, or afraid of being visible? - What if I have doubts about my abilities to make real difference to people? We get a session on a Facebook group and I answered as many of those questions I could get through. And that's what you're going to be hearing in this podcast episode. Now before we go into that, I just opened the doors on my Thriving Coaches Blueprint programme. The full programme is starting literally this weekend. The Doors are open, you can find out all about it at jamiesmart.com/thriving. There's a £6000 bonus package when you sign up. The doors close at friday at midnight. Head over to jamiesmart.com/thriving, you can find out all about it. See if it's a good fit for you, and there are also case studies there with graduates of the programme. If that's something that's interesting to you, go to jamiesmart.com/thriving, and there's also a video where I explain it to you. Without further ado, here's the Q&A Session...
