Special guest Alisha Grauso joins the show this week for a review of The Marvels, the 33rd film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The Marvels has been bombing at the box office so far, so we kick off the show by diagnosing some of the problems plaguing the MCU and what they might be cooking up next to right the ship before diving into the review. Nia DaCosta directed and co-wrote The Marvels alongside Megan McDonnell and Elissa Karasik. The film stars Brie Larson as Captain Marvel, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, and Iman Vellani as Ms. Marvel. The cast also includes Samuel L. Jackson, Zawe Ashton, Gary Lewis, Park Seo-joon, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, and Saagar Shaikh. The Marvels opened in theaters on November 10 through Disney and Marvel Studios. It has a 105-minute runtime. Our intro music this week is “Humble Beginnings (feat. Look)” by l'eupe. Links: Email your feedback for the show to cinemaholicspodcast [at] gmail.com Join our Discord!
