“Loki, the series takes place after the events of the film Avengers: Endgame (2019), in which an alternate version of Loki created a new timeline. Tom Hiddleston reprises his role as Loki from the film series, starring alongside Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku, Eugene Cordero, Tara Strong, Owen Wilson, Sophia Di Martino, Jonathan Majors, and Neil Ellice. Sasha Lane, Jack Veal, DeObia Oparei, and Richard E. Grant also star in the first season, with Rafael Casal, Kate Dickie, Liz Carr, Ke Huy Quan and Richard Dixon joining for the second. After stealing the Tesseract during the events of Avengers: Endgame (2019), an alternate version of Loki is brought to the mysterious Time Variance Authority (TVA), a bureaucratic organization that exists outside of time and space and monitors the timeline. They give Loki a choice: face being erased from existence due to being a "time-variant", or help fix the timeline and stop a greater threat. Loki ends up in his own crime thriller, traveling through time,[2][3][4] hunting a female version of himself named Sylvie.[5] After the first season ends with the timeline breaking and the creation of a multiverse,[6] the second season shows Loki teaming up with Mobius M. Mobius, Hunter B-15, and other TVA agents "in a battle for the soul" of the TVA. This includes a search through the multiverse for Sylvie, Ravonna Renslayer, and Miss Minutes.”  - Factually Exclaims wikipedia.org “R.I.P old Loki, god of mischief... We'll miss you! That moment when two good actors can create interest for a weak series, but the story is boring and uninteresting... A lot of bad writing... Reports also say that the LOKI series may have some subplots leading into the next occult Doctor Strange movie, to be released in 2022, which is reportedly about an adventure having to do with some of the multiverse ideas being introduced into the Marvel Cinematic Universe by the creators of LOKI."  - Proselytizes movieguide.org “loki often "timeslips" which stretches and distorts his body/features before he disappears. can be very offputting sometimes”   - Warns Delphill - doesthedogdie.com Get inspired by our  Top Ten time travel movie lists Check out @time_pop_pod on Instagram, Twitter, & TikTok Please Like, Subscribe, and tell a friend about Time Pop. We're back in the dark reaches of a pessimistic and aggressive portrayal of the world's "most beautiful place": Scotland. In Ryan's words, it can be a terrifying place. Andrea Arnold's slice of Cinema Verité inspired by the Dogme 95 aesthetic and film movement, really puts you in a scary place that is equally horrifying and mesmerizing. As a counterpoint to the last film we covered, this is also a film about watching people, innocently enough through the eyes of a CCTV operator, but how, through this character's trauma, how that power is easily manipulated for her personal gain. This is a fascinating piece of cinema and one of the strongest debuts from a first-time director. Enjoy this incredibly dark and uncompromising film at your own peril but you won't be disappointed.

This week on Fabulous Film & Friends,  we're celebrating Halloween by following last episode's duel between Robert Eggers' The Northman and David Lowry's The Green Knight  by a looking at and comparing two low-budget genre creepfests from these two up-and-coming masters of modern cinema:  2015's The Witch starring Anya Taylor-Joy, Ralph Ineson, Kate Dickie, and three unsung masters of terror Harvey Scrimshaw, Ellie Grainger and Lucas Dawson with 2017's A Ghost Story starring Casey Affleck, Rooney Mara and Will Oldham.  My guests this week are series regulars Dr. David Johnson and Roseanne Caputi and a hearty werewolf howl and welcome back to everybody's favorite religious prude Gordon Alex Roberstson . Once again, the synopses to both films are simple: In The Witch, a Puritan family cast out of their colony tries to make it on their own, feebly attempting to grow corn in the New England wilderness while haunted and vexed by a nearby witch.  A Ghost Story, conversely, tells the story of musician killed in a car accident who awakens from death as an old Halloween costume styled ghost in a long sheet with eye holes. As a ghost, the musician stays in his house in a time loop, watching and haunting his girlfriend or wife, it's never specified, and a host of other tenants or home dwellers from the past, the present and into the future.    Thank you for listening. . Welcome back for another dose of Don't Know Her? and this week, we are focussing our first full episode on a Scottish performer! And is the wildly talented Kate Dickie. Kate may be familiar to many for popping up in some TV favourites like Game Of Thrones, but we want her to be celebrated much more for her terrific film work. This episode allows us to explore some types of film we haven't so far as we dive into a handful of her works and chat about Red Road, The Green Knight, The Witch, For Those In Peril, and Prevenge. Following this, Michael tests Scott's ear for Scots accents in our audio quiz. From there, we pose our wishes for Kate's hopefully fruitful future in film. Scott was particularly excited to celebrate a homeland hero, but Michael became a fully-fledged fan after this episode. Hopefully, you will be sold on Kate too. Enjoy this episode and then come find us on social media! This week Zach and Sloane unwrap 2015's period piece supernatural horror film: The Witch! So typically Sloane will take notes as she edits but this week the only note she wrote was "gay porn idea: Plymouth Rock Hard" so...do with that what you will. The topics on the pod include general New England fan girl stuff from Zach, 2nd hand hazy memory witch lore from Sloane, and a lot of very bad British accents and a lot of whispering / shouting the name "Mercy!" Jokes aside, this film is a feminist masterpiece and an amazing piece of cinema, so definitely watch it and then listen to this week's episode of Mummy Dearest! Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/mummydearestpodcast)

This week on the pod Dave and Jeff discuss The Green Knight, writer/director David Lowery's (A Ghost Story, Pete's Dragon, Ain't Them Bodies Saints) epic, fantastical retelling (and reinterpretation) of the 14th century chivalric romance poem about the half nephew of King Arthur- yes, THAT King Arthur- who is heir to the throne despite being an entitled f*boy. While stunning and intoxicating, this movie can be gddamn confusing, so Dave and Jeff walk you through some elements without spoiling much. As for the cast, Dev Patel is extraordinary as our protagonist, Sir Gawain, with a supporting cast that also features Alicia Vikander, Sean Harris, Kate Dickie, Joel Edgerton, Sarita Choudhury and Erin Kellyman.
