Let us know if you have any comments or suggestions scalemodelpodcast@gmail.com.Hi Guys,Listening to Episode 153, I want to commend for your Literature reading, the novels by Philip Kerr. He wrote a series of 13 books in which the protagonist is a German policeman: they begin during the Weimar Republic years, span the Nazi period, and continue into the post-WW II era. The writing style leans heavily towards Raymond Chandler. They are NOT for the squeamish, however, as the historical accuracy is pretty spot-on. I recommend starting with Kerr's final volume, "Metropolis", which is set historically before the rest of the books in the series. As a testament to how much I like these books, I've read the entire series TWICE!Lastly, Stuart commented, in regard to a new Eduard Bf-109 E kit, that Adolf Galland had the most aerial victories in WW II. Actually, that should have been Erich Hartmann, a German fighter pilot who served mostly, I believe, on the Russian front.Love your podcast,Dave Kensy Martin Hulst reached out from Holland! Hoi, Martin!***************************************LATEST HOBBY ANNOUNCEMENTSKotare's Hurricane Mk.I (Early)- New tool in 1/32nd scaleSix releases from Italeri in March.Three kits from the Cold War by TakomGrumman J2F-5 Duck in 32nd scale by LukGraph1/32 - Hansa-Brandenburg D.1 series 28 3D printed kit by LukGraphALPHA Model Announces March Release of 1:24 Ferrari SF90 XX Stradale3D-printed British Humber F.W.D 4×4 KitHasagawa what's new1970 Ford F-350 Ramptruck (1/25) What's new at Scalemates.com ***************************************SPONSOR AD #1Cult TV Man***************************************TOPICAfter reading Adam Savage's book I think it's time for a serious overhaul of my workspace. I see some of his philosophy can be very helpful. This month's episode is another short ReView! What is a “ReView” episode, you might ask? Well, it's my highly-clever (ok not really) name for episodes where I go back and revisit an older title I haven't seen in a long time, and see if what I remember (and what my opinions on it) are still the same now that some time's gone by. This month, while I dream of the upcoming Dirty Pair bluray set, let's revisit some other space adventuring troublemakers from the same universe! That's right, it's 1983's Crusher Joe: The Movie! So this past few weekends ago, Seishun Con happened. And it was fun! One of the fun things was yet another attempt at an OSMcast LIVE! show. This time, we planned on doing a podcast about Crusher Joe with our pals over at Akihabara Renditions. Only... Funny thing! Communication failed, and half of us did not watch Crusher Joe in time for this panel. So, this is the audio you get instead. Next time, a slightly more planned episode recorded at Seishun Con, along with our Tennessee compatriots.

You get the excellent film Urusei Yatsura 2: Beautiful Dreamer. What happens when you get two anime geeks in a  room with a microphone to talk about said film? You get this podcast. OSMnotes You know, back when I bought this film last year, I paid around $20 for it. Now it’s $80-150. That’s  pretty crazy! It makes Crusher Joe seem kinda reasonable online in comparison. And as you no doubt may have heard on said recording, we are doing a variety of panels at MTAC! From teas to engrish to Go Nagai, we’ve pretty much going to have you covered about what’s important in life. Episode 5 is re-released here! This is another episode that Drew is proud of, probably for the exact opposite reasons he's proud of the previous episode. Hosts: Drew Sutton, Richard Hoelsher, Jason Brown and Marc Smazik. Following the mixture of hot shit and hot, steaming pile of crap that was our previous episode, Drew feels he has a sure-fire win with 1983's Crusher Joe. It backfires as he is the only member of the cast who truly enjoys the film. We also discuss a current state of broadcast anime and how it's changed since we became fans and whether it's better or not. Finally, with three of us being mecha fans, it was hard for us to avoid something that was Mobile Suit Gundam related, so we decided to pop in Mobile Suit Gundam F-91.
