As the saying goes, constraints truly do breed creativity. In this episode, Marla chats with Rachel Bradley, Marketing and Content Manager for Strategic Factory. A few years ago, Marla met Rachel while she was working at DuClaw Brewing Company, leading marketing efforts and snapping the most iconic photos. In this fun conversation, Rachel reflects on how she blends her artistic background into her career and shares insightful tips for product photoshoots. To all the scrappy creatives out there, this one is for you. As mentioned in the interview, you can view the legendary Sour Me Unicorn Farts Photoshoot photo here. S5-E7, Have you ever wondered if a beer could taste like "donkey piss" or if unicorn farts are truly magical? We bravely ventured through the frothy wilds of sour beers and ales in our latest session, kicking things off with DuClaw Brewing Company's Sour Me Imperial Sour Ale—a brew that led us down a path of puckering intrigue and questionable flavor comparisons. As we celebrated the approach of St. Patrick's Day with Sullivan's Brewing Company's Maltings Irish Ale, we found ourselves cozied up with laughter and good-natured ribbing about the trials of tax season, pondering the lengths we might go to protect our wallets from the taxman's tenacious grip. Now, what do tongue-twisters, vaccinations, and mythical brews have in common? They're all part of the meandering journey we took in our latest episode. As your dynamic duo navigated without our third musketeer, Bobby, we rated the night's libations—including a nostalgic nod to the legendary Unicorn Farts—and faced the Herculean task of keeping track of every beer we've ever tasted. Between sips, we swapped from hilarity to earnestness, discussing the resurgence of old-timey diseases and why a sharp needle now might prevent a serious illness later. To wrap up our session, we ventured into the realm of the supernatural with ghostly tales that might just make you sleep with the light on. We also put out a call to our listeners for their own local brews to feature in future tastings, because nothing beats a personalized, ghost-approved recommendation. And as we drained our glasses, we reflected on life's simple joys—like the precious sound of a loved one's voice or the discovery of a perfect pint. So, whether you're here for the beer ratings or the camaraderie, this episode promises to be a memorable blend of the two. Cheers to that, my friends!Support the showwww.anotherreasontodrink.com

RUN Oops, we did it again! Actually, we did another live race on purpose! 2020 LCEC Goblin Gallop 5k was a local race at Jaycee Park in Cape Coral to benefit the United Way. It was early morning by the water and we got to see the sunrise. There was a breeze, too! It was a flat course with one water stop and a medal for all finishers that was shaped like a pumpkin! We dressed up as our favorite superheroes to run the race. So happy that we got to run it! We were out there to enjoy it and enjoy it we did. Thanks to Rachel at The Run Shoppe and everyone at 3D Racing who worked to put this fun race together! EAT We had a great dinner at the Fish Tale Grill to celebrate. It is stone crab season! It’s been a while since we had a great seafood dinner and this one came to play! We split a Captain’s platter with shrimp cocktail, snow crab, stone crab, king crab, lobster tail, and clams plus so much more! It came with cocktail sauce, drawn butter, and a creamy mustard dip. The meat was briny and juicy. The sauces complemented the meats. We ordered an extra side of stone crab because... tis’ the season! DRINK It was National American Beer Day last week! We decided to celebrate with some classic American beers on a live video with our Runcation Nation. This week, we had our friends from our local taproom and package store, No. 3 Craft Brews, select a customized six-pack of American brews for us. We break down two of them on the show this week. Sierra Nevada’s Dankful IPA was an IPA that we were fans of and that supports nonprofits doing good work in communities. DuClaw Brewing Company has a beer that brings us back to childhood and gave us a great sour that Dana loved called Sour Me Unicorn Farts. A review of all six will be available for our patrons, too! You know how Disney locks away movies in a vault and then re-releases them? Well, this is kinda like that, except we forgot to release the episode initially. So we'd like to introduce you again for the first to time this - our episode from the vault! We kick things off with a beer you can no longer get from Books and Brews, Jabbersmokey! It is an imperial smoked stout aged in a scotch whiskey barrel. Just because you can't get this one anymore, doesn't mean that you can't have Books and Brews beer delivered to your door! We also chat about Sweet Baby Jesus! From DuClaw Brewing Company. Let's be honest - if you haven't tried this one yet, do you even craft beer, bro? Also, shout-out to Barrel Chat. From the time he set foot on a college campus, Dave Benfield was expected to go into the family business as an electrical contractor. But rather than learning the business in his free time, Dave was spending his waking hours homebrewing, drinking his homebrew, and sharing the amazing liquid with others. One day, his father said to him, you’re going to be a brewer, aren’t you? DuClaw was then born when Dave followed his passion and started brewpubs in Maryland. Later, he transitioned to focus on his bottling and canning business so he could get more DuClaw to more people. Always cherishing the craft, never following the obvious path. Craft Be Cherished. Rules Be Damned. Sweet Baby Jesus! is a Porter that’s lightly sweet, malty flavor is accented by rich flavors of chocolate, coffee, and peanut butter, balanced by a subtle hop character. Blake takes a deep dive into his anger at the current Arsenal situation, and serves up a hearty helping of hate cake. Ferris and Ron desperately try to talk about the rest of the Premier League weekend, but Blake's rage kept bringing it back to Arsenal. Thankfully, Ferris brought a great IPA from DuClaw Brewing Company to calm the waters. (Spoilers...it didn't work.) In honor of the Arsenal vs Liverpool match, Ferris brought in the Fast Faster & Disaster IPA from DuClaw Brewing Company. Blake decided, that if Arsenal was going to be discussed, he would need something extra, and provided the Diplomatico Añejo Rum.
