Send us a textFor this episode of Brewstilled, I'll be recapping episode 7 from HBO's The White Lotus season 3. For the episode before the coming season 3 finale, we saw another fast-paced episode that displayed hints at what will become of the characters in next week's finale. There were also signs of a revelation from Lochland in the Ratliff family story arc, Timothy continues to hide his secret that will inevitably come out. For Belinda, her problems with Gary continue as she met with Gary who made her an intriguing offer. Yet, for Belinda can she escape Gary and will he face justice? We also saw the implosion between Laurie and Jaclyn and Kate begin. For Gaitock he made a disturbing discovery that could determine his destiny in next week's finale. I'll be discussing this and more here on Brewstilled with a Sour Ale from Mortalis Brewing Co. as the beer pairing.

It's getting colder now but that doesn't mean we don't want to put away the summer quite yet. We get fruity this episode with two very different types of fruit foward beers. La Calavera Jungle Boogie is a mixed fermented sour ale aged in oak barrels. It's an aggressive sour ale that reminds us of our favorite flemmish ales. Arpus Cherry Red Currant Apricot Vanilla Sour Ale is all those things. Arpus puts out great fruited beers that go more towards the pastry style. It's an intense fruit experience that goes down really smooth. #beer #craftbeer #drinks #fruitbeer #wildale #barrelaged

This week, we're double dipping with some recent guests on Cut for Time! In the words of the legendary Rakim, "It's been a long time, I shouldn't have left you/ without a strong rhyme to step to." We know that we have been away for a while. But we have been very busy. We will get back to it on schedule. You will definitely enjoy this episode. There is a lot going on. First, the beer that we are having tonight is the Burley Oak Beer Zombie Jream Rule #9 Sour Ale. It's a Beer Zombie and Burley Oak collaboration, sour ale conditioned on cherry, cinnamon, vanilla, dark brown sugar & lactose. Secondly, I was able to attend the Central Florida Top Brewer's Festival. There was some really good beers. The usual suspects did not win the People's Choice this year. Finally, we were able to go to the Tampa Bay Bad Ass Beer Festival in Tampa. This was our first time going to the festival and it was a blast. We did talk a little about Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. But no spoilers. Tracks by Eampea and 808 Saints

It is no secret that we are big fans of sour beers. There are a multitude of styles including Flanders Red, gose, Berliner Weisse, and lambic to name a few. The sour beer we will be trying today comes from a brewery that not only does a wide array of sours but also does many other tasty beers as well. For this week's show we will be trying the Spicy Pickle Monster from Prairie Artisan Ales. This beer was selected for the show by Keith's wife while they were shopping at Plaza Liquors on his birthday and its combination of flavors is definitely intriguing. This sour ale features lemon, lime, orange, spicy dill pickles and this year also has habaneros to add a little extra spice. What did we think? What do you think? America, Greenland, New Zealand, and (sometimes) Japan rejoice! Drinks With Josh is back with another in-depth, well thought out, deeply intelligent beverage review. Or the usual crap. For over a year now, one of our favorite new breweries (to us) has been Drekker Brewing Company. Located in Fargo North Dakota, they have been around since 2014. We have tried a wide range of their IPA's, DIPA's, and sours and most of them have been delicious. Certainly we like some more than others but we have never been disappointed. Their sour offerings come in a variety of styles including slush, pastry, and fruited and they are always coming up with something new that challenges what we know about sour beers. Suffice it to say, whenever we see them at our local bottle shop we know we have some delicious decisions to make. One of Andrew's most recent selections is what we will be sharing with you on this episode. We will be trying the Drekker Brewing Slang Du Jour Carrot Cake Sour Ale. At first thought one might wonder how carrot cake can and will translate into beer form, but if anyone can make it happen we know it is Drekker. What did we think? What do you think? If you have any ideas for future episodes of "Give It A Shot" or just have a question, you can always send us an email to AboutBeverages@gmail.com.

Is bowling a sport? With the Winter Olympics just around the corner, we examine several competitive activities and decide if they qualify as a sport! We then take a trip over the pond to talk through some of Switzerland's unique laws. This week's canned inspiration is a Sour Ale from Boulevard Brewing called Berry Noir. We want your recommendations! What is your favorite canned beverage? We‘d love to have a taste and feature it on a future episode. Any additional suggestions, questions, or corrections you may have, we want to hear those as well! Make it personal! Send us a voice message: speakpipe.com/CannedConversation Or, hang-out with us on the inter-webs in all the usual places: Instagram / Facebook: @cannedconvo Twitter: @canned_convo Reddit: u/Canned_Conversation YouTube: Canned Conversation Email: cannedconvo@gmail.com Checkout the Complete List of Cans Featured on the Show: Canned Convo Beverages.pdf The Rating System: We rate each can and its contents on a scale of 0 to 5 stars. No half stars, we commit and stand by the full level we award. 5-Star: We love it so much, we rave about it to anyone who will listen, and actively hand them out to friends and family to try! 4-Star: We really like it, will proactively get more, and will keep some on hand to enjoy at our next social gathering. 3-Star: It's good, we like it, and equate it to our standard weekend selection. We won't go out of our way to acquire more, but will certainly have it again should the situation arise. 2-Star: It's not great. We will finish this can, but will part ways after, and will likely not meet again in the future. 1-Star: It's terrible. We won't be finishing the can, and will need another, better can, to wash the awful taste out of our mouths. 0-Star: It's so bad, it caused a visceral reaction that made us physically reject it's contents.
