Topic: OVERCOMING LACK OF SELF-WORTH Guest: BENJAMIN NATHANIEL At some point in our lives, many of us battle feelings of inadequacy and unworthiness. In this episode of The Golden Rubbish 2023, I'll discuss my experience with feeling unworthy, as well as the steps I've taken to get ready for potential opportunities and strengthen my sense of self-worth. August 2020 I was privileged to be the project manager of a school building project. By March 2023, we had completed the project, the school was open, and pupils were already enjoying classes. When the work in the field was completed, I was asked to come and start working in the Abuja office, but I was afraid that I would underperform because I was a field guy and now I would have to face the office daily wahala, so I declined the offer. In the end, I realized that my negative thoughts and feelings were based on limiting beliefs and insecurities, rather than reality. So what did I do to prevent the above from happening again, you may ask? 1. I practice self-reflection and seeking support from trusted sources. Self-reflection and seeking support from trusted sources are crucial for personal growth and well-being. By taking the time to reflect on one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, individuals can gain a deeper understanding of themselves and identify areas that need improvement. This introspective process can lead to increased self-awareness, insight, and a greater sense of control over one's life. 2. I engaging in activities and hobbies that bring joy and a sense of accomplishment. Engaging in activities and hobbies that bring joy and a sense of accomplishment is a crucial aspect of livening a fulfilling life. Whether it's gardening, painting, or playing a musical instrument, having a creative outlet can help relieve stress and improve overall mental health. 3. I practice self-compassion and speaking kindly to myself. Practicing self-compassion and speaking kindly to oneself is essential for overall mental and emotional wellbeing. In today's fast-paced world, it's easy to get caught up in negative self-talk and criticism, but this only exacerbates stress and anxiety. Self-compassion and speaking kindly to oneself are important for maintaining mental and emotional health. By being mindful, engaging in self-care, and using positive language, we can create a supportive inner environment that promotes well-being and happiness. 4. I surround myself with positive and supportive people... 5. I Challenge limiting beliefs and negative thoughts... 6. I Focused on personal strengths and accomplishments. Focusing on personal strengths and accomplishments can have a profound impact on one's self-esteem and well-being. By recognizing and celebrating one's successes and unique abilities, individuals can gain a greater sense of confidence and motivation in their personal and professional lives. Focusing on personal strengths and accomplishments can have a positive impact on one's self-esteem, confidence, and well-being. By regularly taking time to reflect on and celebrate one's successes and abilities, individuals can develop a growth mindset, foster a positive outlook, and achieve greater satisfaction in their lives. Finally, developing a sense of self-worth takes time and effort, but it is a journey worth undertaking. By challenging negative thoughts and focusing on our strengths, we can learn to love and appreciate ourselves just as we are. Remember to be kind to yourself and seek support from others when needed. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/weinspirepodcast/message

Have you ever considered loving yourself unconditionally? No strings attached. Getting up each day, happy about who you are, and looking forward to what the day would unfold? Have you taken the time to think about who you want to be, where you want to go, and write down your ideal-self characteristics, values, and morals and looking into the future of the happiness, peace, prosperity, and accomplishment that you have and achieve? The best way to do that is to start with spending time with God. Get to know Him and who He is. When you see God, you will see who you were created to be—made in His image and likeness. Take time each day to connect with God, letting Him know He is your priority. Spend time in His presence, developing a solid relationship with Him. Learning and depending on His: Character Power, Grace, Wisdom, Love, Compassion Simply spending time in His presence, not asking for anything other than spending time with Him. I won't keep you long today because I'd like for you to take a few moments and pull aside and focus on God. Make Him your priority. Get rid of all distractions. Mute your phone and lay it face down. Turn off the television. Find a quiet place and pull aside. Tell God how much you love Him and how you can't live without Him. Tell Him what He means to you. Remind Him how He Makes you feel. Make it clear to God that you can't live without Him. Bask in the love and intense emotions and feelings that spring up inside you that you can't explain, and their intensity catches you off guard. I Challenge you to Love on God. His nature is so kind and wonderful that before you can finish telling Him how you feel and what you think, He will overwhelm you with the love and feelings that He has for you. I've tried to outlove God several times. And have been reduced to a pile of joyous tears and unspeakable happiness. God is Amazing. I'm tearing up now, just thinking about His love. CONCLUSION I challenge you to start with one minute – 60 seconds. Start telling God how much you love Him and what He means to you and watch Him overtake you with His love. Psalm 22:3 says, “God inhabits the praises of His people.” Be prepared to be overwhelmed!

What a wonder it is that we made it into the second half of 2020. What has 2020 meant to you. We all have an idea of what it means to the world but I ask you again, what has 2020 as a year, meant to you. To me years don't come any better than 2020. In 2020 I've affirmed that we're drawing ever so closely to the returning of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, I know this also cause I've experienced it personally, that the manifestation of the Holy Spirit is far more weightier in Glory now than previously felt by past generations, 2020 has been a year of mass returning back to the Father and He has embraced His own again. Stunning and beautiful things have adorned 2020 for the body of Christ Now I don't mean to be tone deaf considering the pandemic and the human rights issue in the US that is now embraced globally but as a Christian, this turnout of events shouldn't be strange to me and they shouldn't be strange to you either cause we should not be ignorant of the devices of the enemy. So stepping into the second half of 2020 we step into it with Praise. We promise to thrive in it with Praise and we also offer to share Praise with others too. By empowering Small Businesses and their leaders to realize levels of success they thought were impossible, I strive to impact their business and their lives, as well as that of their employees, the broader community, and ultimately our world. Whether it's through Sales, I.T., Finance, or Strategic development I Challenge us all to find what success means!” https://www.linkedin.com/in/jackdwilson/ ABOUT THE EPISODE: Jack is a deep thinker about sales, and in this episode, we start by exploring a concept that he calls “The Fallacy of Growth” and why it creates so many problems for so many sales organizations. Following that trajectory, Jack goes on to explain a more sustainable and holistic approach to growth, how it is embedded in his work at Cinch I.T., and how other organizations can benefit from a perspective shift towards supported and sustainable sales growth. 0:44 - Jack shares his best piece of sales advice - and you’ll love it - “don’t be a robot” - and how the meaning of that message has changed over time for him 2:45 - Jack shares the worst piece of sales advice he’s ever heard - which also changed in meaning for him over time 3:58 - What are the core drivers of sales success and how that relates to the perceptions of sales work 5:20 - Jack discusses the idea of “The Fallacy of Growth” and the better approach of growing sustainably for the longer term 8:39 - How does the concept of sustainable growth manifest itself at Cinch I.T. 10:40 - Jack elaborates on the quote “training gets you certifications, coaching gets you results” 12:42 - How sales process supports an approach to sustainable growth and Jacks concept of Minimum Viable Habits 15:34 - How process and metrics are not the end goal, but the start of an exploration into how to be most effective in sales, and how to balance process and creativity 17:35 - Jack talks about the importance of rest as a critical component of practice and effectiveness 19:01 - Why so much of the “what” oriented sales-oriented advice is misguided and limiting and what kind of content and advice is more valuable 23:15 - How to find and reach Jack and learn more

Hands up if you start your podcast with a question like, ‘How did you get started?’ You, with your hand up, this one’s for you.  There are many variations of this lazy first question but the main similarity is that the podcast host wants to start at the beginning. They want to share their guests story from the point of origin.  Ba or ing! As a listener, I don’t care enough about this guest yet. I don’t know why it would matter where he went to highschool, or the first time she wrote a story, or their first kiss. And chances are, your podcast is not about any of this stuff. (If it is, then, carry on… you’re killing it). I’ll say it again for the millionth time. Your podcast is for your listener. Not you. Not your guest. Your listener.  So, don’t make them sit through someone’s biography or resume before you get to what’s relevant to them.  Give them gold right out of the gate.  I’m not saying that you can’t cover the ‘early days’ stuff, I’m saying weave it in when it’s relevant and AFTER you’ve established that this guest is worth learning a little more about. Their start or beginning will mean so much more once your listener has context (and gives a crap about them).  Planning an interview in chronological order is fine. Small ‘f’ fine. As in, mediocre. As in, you can do better. I CHALLENGE you to do better.  Start strong. Jump around a little. Let your interview fall through a timewarp and bring up the early stuff as it relates to the later stuff. This isn’t a marathon where you have to start at the beginning and make your way painfully to the finish. You get to jump in half way through, then take the subway to the finish line then head back to the start and maybe take a short cut to the third water station.  You get to map out your own route.  Yes, this is a more advanced interview technique. Yes, it will take a bit more work than just laying it all out chronologically. But yes, it will make you a better podcaster interviewer.  Your podcast is not a 5th grade biography on your guest so don’t treat it like that. (Unless it is, in which case cool, project, carry on… you’re killing it). Get creative. Serve your listener. Be a better podcaster. I challenge you to time-warp your interview flow.  If you accept my challenge - send me proof. HAPPY MONDAY MOTIVATION! Welcome back to the weekly podcast No More Excuses! That you for listening and sharing the podcast and connecting with me on all the social media platforms! [Don't forget to message me if you're a listener so I can follow you back!] So what's been going on? Have you taken the time o pay attention to how your reputation precedes you? How your ripple effect affects others? And your work? In last week's podcast I asked you to think about a time when shit went sideways - your monkeys flew out the door - and how did you recover from it? Or are you putting negative ripples out to the universe and just blaming vs. accepting. Everyone has a story, and it's just that... a STORY! An excuse. Perhaps blame. No... probably BLAME! A deflection so that people don't see what's really going on, and, you don't have to face it either! Have you ever noticed when you're disappointed or upset with yourself how you talk to yourself? And you probably won't even look at yourself in the mirror! Think about it! I do it! Especially when I run! [Although right after I wrote and recorded this, I went for a run. I took my own advice and had a peaceful, GREAT run!] Interesting isn't it? I shifted my mindset. But many times if my run isn't going so well, I have one of two conversations with myself - "that's ok... you're still going and you'll get there!" – OR – I can't believe you stopped! What's wrong with you? Are you going to quit everything?!" Yes, I am awful to myself some times! What about you? Well, we have to remember who is REALLY to BLAME. Yes... YOU. ME - ourselves. No one else. Yes, SHIT can happen, your kids, environment, life can cause you to get off-track, but be honest with yourself. Listen in this week as I talk about the TWO THINGS we have to learn to do to help ourselves change our mindset and stop putting our negative ripples. And... more importantly, stop BLAMING others!  Listen in and then email me - let me help you to DIG DEEPER to PLAY BIGGER! Don't think YOU are the problem? Email me your story, and I can help you see the real issue - fear, time management, perfectionism, unhealthy boundaries. It's no one else, but YOU! This week I CHALLENGE you to look in the mirror and see who's really looking back!  Have a very eye-opening week! Cheers! Sandi

Hi Friend! Hope all is well. Thanks for tuning in to the I Got You Podcast where one can receive words of encouragement. Today's episode focuses on the second point of the “I Will Challenge”. I Challenge you to Be Sensitive to Another’s Challenge. Sometimes we encounter situations that seemingly take us by surprise; Especially when encountering other individuals. When this happens, there is a tendency to take things personally and attack the individual. This is unfair, and this is why. Do we know why the person acted that way?Do we know why they said it? Life can be unfair sometimes and affects all in different ways. Because of this, we can’t expect everyone to act the same in response to life’s varying test. That is why in this episode I explain the need for one to be sensitive to another’s challenges or simply put, be empathetic to someone’s challenges. When we place ourselves in the shoes of another it helps to share the pain, understand the thoughts, and feel the stress of the circumstance. So there I was minding my own business on an epic date to see the best musical of all actual time, Hamilton, with my favorite person ever Navin. Why do I always stop? What is actually wrong with me? I can't help it. They are my meth, the flame to my moth antennae, and I cannot keep away from their glittery hot white light. I just want once, just once to have an articulate conversation with someone about Jesus. I Challenge you internet universe, to send me someone with heart and wit who I can talk to me about why the laws of science don't apply to them, why it's ok to preach love and acceptance but marginalize those who are different and vilify woman for stepping out of the June Cleaver box they'd like to put all our Vaj's in. Come on. One intelligent debate. It must be possible. Until then, pray for my cursed soul and maybe send me some new shoes? Honestly, because if my soles look more valuable than my soul, my soul IS SO SO CHEAP, flat and used.
