The Celtics blowout the Spurs 137-93 in our 3rd straight complete domination. JB was as unstoppable as we've seen in a long time. He ended the night with 41pts 13reb and 3ast on 18-29 from the field and 2-10 from 3 meaning he was 16-19 from inside the arc. This was the picture perfect game from JB that ended in a standing ovation from the fans in Boston. While JB was truly unstoppable, this was a complete performance and a lot of others stepped up as well. Our 3 guard trio of Smart, White and Brogdon were great in this one. Smart was ejected in the third quarter after getting 2 technical but was playing a solid game prior to that. Brogdon was huge with 20pts and a team high 9ast. White continued his hot streak with 19pts alongside 8reb on a super efficient 7-11 from the field. Timelord put together another dominating effort with 11pts 8reb and 1blk in just 19 minutes. Horford was really solid with his 6pts 9reb and 4ast as well. Outside of our core rotation guys, we also saw solid minutes from Muscala who was 3-4 from deep and JD Davison even had some great garbage time minutes as well. This is very much a team we should beat but this is 3 straight games where the Celtics played a near perfect game and won by 20+ in all 3. Celtics PRIDE: The Dog Days of Summer The “dog days” of summer are here, and when there isn't huge news in CelticsLand, the Celtics Pride Team likes to get in touch with their creative side and bring topics of their own.   First up on this episode of the Celtics Pride Podcast, Josh and Adam reveal Danny Ainge and Brad Stevens' Red Sox Player Comparison. If you thought NBA player comparisons of draft prospects was difficult, try crossing over sports to find who the Celtics' GMs would play like. Adam continues the analogy by comparing Danny Ainge to someone who flips houses, after looking at the Rudy Gobert trade in Ainge's new position with the Utah Jazz - and the Kevin Garnett trade before it that brought Boston Banner 17. Adam then continues with speculation about which team Ainge is likely to trade Donovan Mitchell to, and how Ainge's relationship with Miami Heat executive Pat Riley impacts the Heat's chances of landing Donovan. Coach Josh then makes the case that Malcolm Brogdon is the Celtics clear third best player. The list for this honor obviously includes Marcus Smart, Al Horford, and the Timelord, Rob Williams. Josh goes as far as saying Brogdon could be the best point guard on the Celtics team, even after Marcus Smart led the squad to the finals in his first year as starting point guard. Adam responds by questioning if we should be afraid of Smart playing the 2, with his history of questionable shot selection.   The pride guys then give final notes on the Celtics' summer league team signees by sharing a 1-10 rating of how excited they are about JD Davison, Sam Houser, and Mfiondu Kabengele. They give a couple notes on Matt Ryan, Luke Kornet, Trevion Williams, Broderick Thomas, and regrettably leave Juhann Begarin absent from the conversation.  Check it all out, and more, on this week's Celtics PRIDE. Host Tyler Martin is joined by University of Alabama basketball commit, 2021 forward Langston Wilson on the newest episode of the All Things Bama Podcast to discuss his decision to join the Crimson Tide, his basketball career that almost had to be shut down due to a medical condition, what he can see his game developing into to, and much more. Wilson is one of the top-rated JUCO players in the country and chose Alabama over a number of schools including South Carolina, Texas A&M, Oregon, Memphis, Penn State, among others. Last season at Georgia Highlands College, the 6-foot-9, 200-pound prospect appeared in 32 games, averaging 10.1 point and 7.6 rebounds, while shooting an efficient 54 percent from the field. He also blocked one shot a game as well. He also gives his thoughts on where this recruiting class for the Crimson Tide could end up being ranked when it's all said and done.
