In this lively Ask Away session, Rabbi Wolbe clarified that the Talmudic category of “idolater” (akum) in kosher laws refers to any non-Jew who does not share our Torah values and meticulous concern for kashrut – today that includes Muslims, Christians, atheists, etc. – not just literal idol-worshippers; the laws were never about hating non-Jews but about protecting Jewish standards and limiting excessive social intimacy. He also explained that giving flowers to one's wife (or girlfriend when seriously dating toward marriage) is not only permitted but strongly encouraged by the Rambam, Shulchan Aruch, Rav Moshe Feinstein, and virtually all contemporary Poskim – because it creates shalom bayit and expresses love; flowers are never placed on Jewish graves (we use stones to symbolize permanence of the soul), but for a living spouse they are a beautiful, halachically praised gift that says “I thought about you.”On deeper topics, Rabbi Wolbe taught that true bitachon and saying “Gam zu l'tovah” do not cancel out tears or heartfelt prayer – tears are always welcome and open Heaven's gates; bitachon simply means we reaffirm that even the pain is ultimately for our good. He addressed inter-movement rabbinic courts by explaining that authentic halachic authority requires (1) belief that the Torah is divine and (2) personal observance of that Torah – without those foundations, rulings lack legitimacy in traditional Judaism. The Talmud (Ta'anit 21a) teaches the life-attitude of “Gam Zu L'Tovah” – this too is for the good – through the unforgettable figure of Nachum Ish Gamzu, a tzaddik who was blind, without hands or legs, and covered in boils, yet insisted that even his own horrific suffering was for the best because he once delayed helping a starving man and accepted the punishment as atonement. When the Jews sent him to Caesar with a chest of jewels, thieves replaced it with dirt overnight; instead of despairing, Nachum declared “Gam zu l'tovah.” Elijah the Prophet then appeared, convinced Caesar the dirt was Abraham's miraculous earth that turns into swords and arrows, Rome conquered an invincible city, and Nachum returned loaded with even greater treasures – proving that when a person genuinely sees every event as coming from a loving God, even apparent disasters become the vehicle for open miracles.The deeper message is that we live in two dimensions at once: the visible, physical world of cause-and-effect, and the hidden spiritual layer that ultimately controls everything. En Capital Intereconomía, la tertulia de mercados ha reunido a cuatro referentes del sector financiero: Lorenzo Coletti, director para Iberia en Pictet AM; Patricia López Molina, responsable de Distribución de Iberia en GAM; Ralph Elder, Managing Director Iberia/Latam en BNY Investments; y Ramón-Borja Álvarez de Toledo, Country Manager de Swisscanto International Asset Management. Los expertos han coincidido en que los resultados empresariales del tercer trimestre pueden convertirse en un nuevo catalizador para las bolsas, especialmente en Estados Unidos, donde las grandes tecnológicas siguen marcando el ritmo del mercado. Se ha hablado del FOMO (miedo a quedarse fuera de las subidas), que sigue empujando a muchos inversores a mantener posiciones en renta variable y, sobre todo, en el sector tecnológico, pese a las valoraciones exigentes. En renta fija, la atención se centra en el impacto de la crisis política francesa sobre la deuda del país —con el bono a diez años en el 3,48%— y en el efecto del cierre federal de EE.UU., que ha provocado movimientos hacia los bonos soberanos como activos refugio. En este contexto, el Treasury estadounidense ha caído por debajo del 4,1%, lo que algunos interpretan como una señal de que el mercado empieza a descontar recortes de tipos. Los analistas han coincidido en que, pese a la incertidumbre, las bolsas aún tienen margen para subir en la recta final del año, apoyadas en los resultados empresariales, las expectativas de relajación monetaria y el efecto estacional del rally de Navidad. La jornada se ha completado con el análisis de preapertura de los mercados de la mano de Alexis Ortega, profesor de Finanzas en la EAE Business School, quien ha apuntado que el tono de los mercados europeos sigue siendo positivo, aunque “la complacencia podría poner a prueba la solidez del rally si los datos macro no acompañan”.

Con el cierre del año acercándose, los mercados financieros se encuentran en un momento clave. ¿Podrán las bolsas continuar su ascenso y protagonizar un esperado rally de Navidad? Los resultados empresariales recientes podrían actuar como catalizador de nuevas subidas, mientras algunos inversores experimentan FOMO ante el temor de perderse más oportunidades, especialmente en el sector tecnológico. Al mismo tiempo, la renta fija se convierte en refugio ante la incertidumbre: el bono de Estados Unidos se sitúa por debajo del 4,1%, mientras que la crisis política en Francia ha llevado a la deuda gala hasta el 3,48%, generando inquietud entre los inversores.
