If we believe we are living in the last days, we need the same Holy Spirit desperately! The reason I first received the Holy Spirit was because I knew I had to preach the Gospel – with lives changed, souls saved into the Kingdom! I found Christ when I was 8, was baptised in water aged 12. The first time I spoke in my church I was only 13. I advertised, the people came; I preached, but nobody repented! I was shocked because I had grown up with some of the greatest evangelists. I went home and asked my father, who was a great preacher, one of the founders of the Pentecostal movement in Great Britain, what was wrong? I had preached the same Gospel – from the Bible like my father – but nobody repented. My father said, “Because you have not yet received the Holy Spirit!” That night he laid his hands on me and prayed that I would receive the Holy Spirit – but I did not receive – no fire, no power! But from that moment I had only one desire, to meet with God and to receive His power in my life. For 3 months I prayed without receiving. But I knew that without the power, the fire, the anointing of God, I could never see men's lives converted. At Easter we used to have three Pentecostal Conventions in London. I determined to go and not leave until I had received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit! The preaching was so long in the morning, there was no time to pray for people to receive the Holy Spirit! As a 13-year old I went up to those great men of God on the platform and said, “I only came to receive the fire, pray for me!” They took me to a small room, laid their hands on me, but their minds were on their lunch! I did not receive the Holy Spirit. I was searching for something which does not come from men, the real power of God. One of those pastors saw my heart, opened the Scripture to me, then when he prayed and laid hands on me, it was as if the roof came off the building, I saw the Glory of God and felt the fire! The fire of the Holy Ghost, the power of God and the Glory of God came into my life! Now I had to become an evangelist! I had to preach Christ, and see the Power! That baptism was only the beginning!  If you want to be effective in ministry, you MUST be filled with the Holy Spirit! There is a danger today that we do not understand the reality of what the baptism in the Holy Spirit means. In Acts 1:5 Jesus said to His disciples, “You have been baptised in water, but you're about to be baptised in the Holy Ghost!” – It was to be the power to change their lives, yet immediately the disciples got their minds on prophecy: “When this happens, will You then restore the Kingdom to Israel? Get rid of the Romans?” Jesus said, “Hold on, before that happens, you've got a job to do, and that's why I'm telling you, when the Holy Spirit comes, you will receive power, fire, miracles – and you will be My witnesses!” This only confirmed the earlier words of John the Baptist in Matthew 3:11 that Jesus would baptise them with the Holy Spirit and fire. – If we are truly living in the days before Christ's return, we have to be His witnesses, that's what our job is! And we NEED this baptism of fire to spread the power of this miraculous Gospel! I was dedicated to the Lord in infancy by George Jeffreys, the greatest healing evangelist the UK had ever seen. In his old age, he prayed for the Fire and Power to come down on the future evangelist Reinhard Bonnke as a Bible student. But when I was dedicated to the Lord as a baby, Jeffreys was at the peak of his ministry, and my father had the honour of establishing the Pentecostal Elim Churches in Britain together with him. I was told that Jeffreys, who never married, wanted to adopt me – my mother was 40 and was not expecting two of us! I often wonder about what exactly Jeffreys prayed over me, and whether it precipitated God's calling in my life. I accepted Christ as my Saviour at the age of 7 years and 11 months because I knew that if I did not accept Him in my life I could not enter Heaven. I took this decision alone in my bed, because the conviction of the Holy Spirit was so strong I could not sleep. I knew that if Jesus were to come back that night, my parents and my twin brother would go to be with the Lord, but I would be left. I knew Jesus was coming back, but only for those who have found personal salvation through faith in Him. That night I had to obey Him. Without Him, life at the age of 7 years and 11 months was meaningless!  Not much more than a year later, to get some relief from the war time bombing in London where we lived, my parents took me and my twin brother to Scotland, to Kilsyth, where my father had been a pastor before I was born. We stayed in the house of one of the church members. We boys went up to bed early. But hearing the sound of music coming from downstairs, I got up and stood at the top of the stairs to listen. I heard the most wonderful music and someone singing: ‘Hear the Lord of Harvest sweetly calling, Who will go and work for Me today? Who will bring to Me the lost and dying? Who will point them to the narrow way? – Speak, my Lord, speak, my Lord, speak, and I'll be quick to answer Thee; speak, my Lord, speak, my Lord, speak, and I will answer, Lord, send me.' I was just 9 years old, but I knew at that moment that He was speaking to me. I heard, and young as I was, I literally answered Him and said, “Lord send me!”! Only three years later, I began to preach the Gospel in the streets as a young teenager. When you know that Heaven is real but hell is real also, and that there is no place in between, then you must preach the Gospel.”

The shooting occurred on Wednesday in North Carolina when several young children were playing with a basketball which rolled into the yard of Robert Singletary, who neighbors say was new to the area and often mad at the local children, the news outlet WSOC-TV reported. It continued a recent spate of shootings across the US involving a property owner who fired at young people who approached them either by mistake or for an innocent reason. Witnesses told the station that Singletary ran out of his home upset after the ball rolled on to his yard and started firing a gun at a neighbor. William White and his six-year-old daughter Kinsley were seriously hurt during the shooting. White had his own gun and tried to shoot back at Singletary, who witnesses say unloaded an entire magazine at White and his daughter. White was seriously injured after being shot in the back. Hilderbrand was grazed by a bullet and was back home on Wednesday after being discharged from a hospital. Singletary remained at large as of Thursday morning. Police warned local residents that he is armed and dangerous. Wednesday was not the first time Singletary was accused of acting violently. A three-judge panel sided with the California Restaurant Association in voting unanimously that the city's 2019 ban on gas stoves ran afoul of the Energy Policy and Conservation Act of 1975, which they said preempted a local gas stove ban — a ruling that now puts into doubt the scores of similar bans advanced across the nation in recent years. The appellate court decision may have "ripple effects" for gas appliance restrictions nationwide and provide a road map of sorts for industry and consumer groups looking to halt such policies, said Rob Rains, a senior vice president at the independent research firm Washington Analysis. The ruling "does provide a playbook for opponents of these policies to kind of 'storm the walls,' so to speak, and seek for them to be thrown out as well," he said in an interview. More than 100 U.S. cities and localities have moved to restrict gas-powered appliances, including 75 cities in California alone. Monday's ruling only technically applies to states that fall under the 9th Circuit's jurisdiction: California, Alaska, Arizona, Hawaii, Idaho, Nebraska, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington, as well as Guam and the Mariana Islands. But it sets the stage for a challenge to regulations in other states. Even if bans are upheld by courts, any such ruling would create a split between circuits, raising the prospect of the Supreme Court weighing in for the whole country. The court's decision hinged on its reading of the Energy Policy and Conservation Act of 1975, which gives the Department of Energy the legal right to set conservation standards for certain building appliances, including hot water heaters, furnaces, and HVAC systems — and preempts local laws in those areas. The California Restaurant Association argued that gas-powered stoves are crucial for chefs to prepare food the way they are classically trained. In California, more than 75 cities and counties have modeled Berkeley's ordinance in crafting their own gas bans. But it doesn't include gas stoves, though its final rules will not come up for a final vote until 2035. The move to extend an administrative stay is procedural and comes just days after Alito froze a lower judge's decision to reverse the government's 2000 approval of the common abortion drug, muh - fuh - pri - stown. The decision means that all of District Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk's April 7 ruling that threatened to revoke the Food and Drug Administration's approval of the drug will not go into effect until at least Friday at 11:59 p.m. Eastern time. But several Democrats argued in debate that the GOP bill is an extension of the bullying that transgender students are already facing at school. Rep. Mark Takano, D-Calif., said the bill would make school sports "less safe for women and girls," and argued that even discussing the legislation on the House floor was doing harm to transgender students. "Congress in 1972 created Title IX to protect women's sports to enable women to have an equal playing field in athletics," said Rep. Greg Steube, R-Fla., who sponsored the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act. "In worship to their trans idols, the administration wants to flip that on its head. It is insane." Under Steube’s bill, educational institutions that receive Title IX funding from the federal government would not be allowed to "permit a person whose sex is male to participate in an athletic program or activity that is designed for women or girls." The bill adds that the sex of an athlete is defined only by their "reproductive biology and genetics at birth." Steube has said he introduced his bill in order to "save women’s sports" from transgender women and girls who are denying biological women and girls spots on the team’s roster, and sometimes dominate these sports. The shooting occurred on Wednesday in North Carolina when several young children were playing with a basketball which rolled into the yard of Robert Singletary, who neighbors say was new to the area and often mad at the local children, the news outlet WSOC-TV reported. It continued a recent spate of shootings across the US involving a property owner who fired at young people who approached them either by mistake or for an innocent reason. Witnesses told the station that Singletary ran out of his home upset after the ball rolled on to his yard and started firing a gun at a neighbor. William White and his six-year-old daughter Kinsley were seriously hurt during the shooting. White had his own gun and tried to shoot back at Singletary, who witnesses say unloaded an entire magazine at White and his daughter. White was seriously injured after being shot in the back. Hilderbrand was grazed by a bullet and was back home on Wednesday after being discharged from a hospital. Singletary remained at large as of Thursday morning. A three-judge panel sided with the California Restaurant Association in voting unanimously that the city's 2019 ban on gas stoves ran afoul of the Energy Policy and Conservation Act of 1975, which they said preempted a local gas stove ban — a ruling that now puts into doubt the scores of similar bans advanced across the nation in recent years. The appellate court decision may have "ripple effects" for gas appliance restrictions nationwide and provide a road map of sorts for industry and consumer groups looking to halt such policies, said Rob Rains, a senior vice president at the independent research firm Washington Analysis. The ruling "does provide a playbook for opponents of these policies to kind of 'storm the walls,' so to speak, and seek for them to be thrown out as well," he said in an interview. More than 100 U.S. cities and localities have moved to restrict gas-powered appliances, including 75 cities in California alone. Monday's ruling only technically applies to states that fall under the 9th Circuit's jurisdiction: California, Alaska, Arizona, Hawaii, Idaho, Nebraska, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington, as well as Guam and the Mariana Islands. In California, more than 75 cities and counties have modeled Berkeley's ordinance in crafting their own gas bans. It is possible that gas stove critics may regroup and rework policies to sidestep the 9th Circuit ruling. We took a trip to visit Jamie and Lucy who run Banton Frameworks to have a long-form conversation about their business and what it's like to be a small business. Behind every business there's some degree of a problem being solved – in Lucy's case, a dissatisfaction with what was available from her optician at the time. Naively, we thought that we could do it better. We can now, but it took us almost a decade to get here. The result is better and, to us, much more personal to the wearer than mass manufactured frames made in their thousands. Eyewear is almost like perfume or aftershave: apply the same perfume to 10 different people and it will smell 10 different ways. I think glasses are very much like that. Glasses are such a crucial implement – they help people see – but they are also a very personal and intimate item, as eyewear is a huge part of the wearer's identity. Glasses are quite simple objects – figures of eight with sticks on either side – but when you wear that frame for up to 16 hours a day, it represents you. I think it's important to have eyewear that is made well. I don't see it as any different to having a tailored suit, a smart pair of brogues or a nice handbag.Frames can be very mass produced and almost loveless: you go into an optician and see rows on the wall and they're basically just lens holders. Some manufacturers who we admire make very nice frames, but generally, mainstream optical brands lack the magic that we strive to produce. So why do we do it? We do it because eyewear is a balance of fashion, identity and medical aid. He later served with typical bravery and heroism as a gunner for the 29th Division where he fought in the Italian Alps and the Somme. We lost him mostly for the first half of 1918. As a footballer, McAtee was simply a match winner who was adored by the Celtic faithful, and is undoubtedly one of the greatest wingers the club has ever had. Having played 438 times for Celtic, scoring 75 goals winning 5 Scottish League Championships and 4 Scottish Cup winners medals, Andy McAtee is a true Celtic great. After Harry updates on the Celtic Graves Event of Saturday 28th Feb in Kilsyth and the forthcoming CFC Foundation events we have the meet of the podcast with St Anthony. St Anthony meets up with Andy Lynch.  In February 1973, Jock Stein paid £30,000 to sign Lynch for Celtic and, although Lynch was initially a winger, Stein successfully converted him into a left back. While with Celtic he won three Scottish league titles and the Scottish Cup twice. He scored the only goal in the 1977 Scottish Cup final. There will be more podcasts to come so please enjoy.
