Hello & welcome to Thursday! We've got some really warm weather headed our way this weekend, so the days of having the windows open at my house are coming to an end. The central AC is DEFINITELY going on Saturday. In the news this morning, the latest on the Conclave to determine a new Pope…including the interesting tidbit that some of the Cardinals may have watched the movie "Conclave" for advice on what to do! Plus, a 13 year-old boy in Wisconsin was arrested for shooting at deputies, a Wisconsin man accused of intentionally running down a family & killing the mother has died in jail, and a couple of companies from North Carolina & Indiana are in trouble for shipping an invasive crayfish species to Wisconsin. In sports, the Brewers lost to the Astros yesterday, we recapped last night's NBA & NHL playoff action and took a look ahead at tonight's NBA and NHL matchups. Plus, the Cowboys made a trade with the Steelers for George Pickens yesterday. Elsewhere in sports, the Utah Hockey Club will have a new name moving forward, and the Memphis Redbirds are changing their name next weekend to honor their most popular food item at the ballpark. We let you know what's on TV today/tonight, and we talked to Office Cora about what's happening in the 715 this weekend. Plus, it's another "Hypothetical Thursday", and Jean's question for Brian was: "100 men or the gorilla?" Meanwhile, Brian's question for Jean was "If you could only keep one piece of technology for the rest of your life, which would it be?" Viral video of an Oregon State Trooper stopping traffic on a busy interstate to help a family of ducks safely cross the road, and a cool story about a woman's friend who set up an "interview process" to date her friend that finally panned out. And in today's edition of "Bad News with Happy Music", we had stories about the latest TikTok "challenge", how one man is dealing with some squatters in Chicago, a town that got high AF when it's authorities decided to burn a bunch of seized cannabis, a woman who just won a massive settlement after a coworker compared her to Darth Vader, a #FloridaWoman who shoved nachos down her wife's pants, and a couple of people who were busted for prostitution after they were caught banging in broad daylight in a car that was blocking the entrance to a police station.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

he Indianapolis Indians are embracing the solar eclipse with special items for fans. It comes as opening week aligns with the weekend of the celestial sight. The Triple-A side's first home stand started with cold and wet weather. They split a pair of games Tuesday and Thursday against the Memphis Redbirds.Wednesday's game was rained out, team officials announced it would be made up as a doubleheader on Saturday.Communications Director Cheyne Reiter says there's a lot to look forward to this season.“Paul Skeens the number one overall pick in last year's Major League draft, he's starting for the Indians [Friday],” Reiter said. “Come out, it won't be warm but he'll light up the radar gun [with his] 100-plus mile-an-hour fastball.”Starting Friday, the team will hand out solar eclipse glasses and debut a new city jersey. Then, the first 1,000 fans on Saturday will get a special glow-in-dark eclipsed-themed shirt. Meanwhile, on Sunday, the first 1,000 young fans will get a sun moon, and earth juggling set.Reiter says the Indians are hoping to use the cosmic alignment to gain new fans.“It's not happening again where we're in the path of totality for a total solar eclipse until 2153,” Reiter said. “Unfortunately, none of us are going to be around that one. It's just a chance for people to experience Indianapolis, experience the eclipse.”Victory Field isn't hosting a viewing party on Monday, but the parking lot will be open for paid parking. Team officials encourage downtown visitors to go to the free event, Lunacy at White River State Park.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Goodwin, who played guard for the Hawks during the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 seasons and for the Cleveland Cavaliers last season, was released on bond the same day. Goodwin led Norcross High School to a state championship in basketball during the 2012-13 season, earning him the Daily Post Player of the Year award. The Georgia State Patrol is investigating an accident involving a Gwinnett County police officer which resulted in the death of a Lawrenceville man in unincorporated Norcross over the weekend. Police said Ramon Perez , was walking on Brook Hollow Parkway, near Mitchell Road, at 3:30 a.m. on Sunday when a West Precinct officer came down Brook Hollow in his vehicle and hit Perez. Following the collision, the officer immediately began to render aid. The pedestrian later died as a result of his injuries. Georgia State Patrol was requested to investigate the collision. The GCPD Accident Investigation Unit responded to assist. Gwinnett Police have not released the officer's name, but they did say he sustained a minor injury in the accident. Gwinnett County police are seeking the public's help in identifying a suspect who robbed a gas station near Norcross on February 13. According to Cpl. We had the pleasure of interviewing Sofia Treadway over Zoom video! At just 17 years old, the bilingual singer-songwriter Sophia Treadway is taking the music industry by storm with her latest single, Kiss N Tell, produced by 2022 Grammy-Award Winner (Best Album, Jon Batiste) Autumn Rowe! The singles sound is a nod to the late 90's/early 2000's and will give nostalgic vibes to those who remember that era of music well! The Dallas-based singer is well known for her latest single, Close to Me, and her other popular songs, I'm Good (2021), Not That into You (2020), Beside Me (2019), and Can't Stop Thinking About You (2018). Born in Greenville, South Carolina, Sophia has always wanted to share her love of singing with the world. Sophia made her journey to Memphis, Tennessee from California at the age of 5 where she auditioned for her first show. After blowing the judges away with her performance of Adele's "Rolling In The Deep" she began working with infamous vocal instructor, Bob Westbrook, former teacher to Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears Lance Bass, Chris Young, Lucy Hale, Olivia Holt, Peyton List and many more! Sophia took her singing career to the next level with her performance in 2013 at various events including the Delta Fair. By 2014, Sophia won in the national competition, IPOP, and in 2017 found herself in the main showcase at the Mike Beaty Model & Talent Expo in Dallas, TX. After her many accomplishments as a young singer, she launched her path to creating original music with the support of Platinum Record music producer Marc Williams of Indasoul Entertainment, and Sony/ATV music producer Christopher 'C-Ray' Roberts of OnKey Entertainment! Additionally, she has been mentored by 2022 Grammy-Award Winner Autumn Rowe (Best Album for ‘We Are' with Jon Batiste) for the last 6 years, who has worked alongside Sophia homing in on her writing skills and sound.Sophia feels passionate about both her Latina and American heritage and is striving to incorporate both languages into her music. She also feels strongly about including her personal experiences in her music to connect with her audience. Her hit single, Beside Me, was written to encourage her fans to feel empowered and always express their individuality! Sophia is an avid supporter of the Thirst for Life project- an organization that builds wells in Africa for people who do not have access to clean water.
