Being the son of Marco Tervonen, who plays guitar for the renowned band The Crown, Mateo comes from a lineage of metal music. This week I welcome a man who I consider to be the best photographer working in extreme music today, Christopher Dean aka Necroshorns.  Our conversation spans a wide range of topics that include his decision to leave behind a career as a commercial airline pilot and pursue his dream of becoming a photographer.  He shares his harrowing experiences being in Israel on October 7th last year, and I discover the story of “The Omen”, one of the most infamous black metal photos taken since Kvitrafn took a stroll down the streets of Bergen.
