In dieser Ausgabe des JediCast sprechen wir über die Die Hohe Republik-Reihe von Marvel aus der dritten Phase. Die von Cavan Scott geschriebene Comicreihe besteht aus zehn Einzelheften und wird in Deutschland in zwei Sonderbänden von Panini veröffentlicht. Darin setzt sich die Reise der Comicfiguren aus der ersten Phase fort. Keeve hat eine Spur, um ihren Meister zu finden, während zufällig noch ein hochrangiger Nihil ihre Wege kreuzt. Dieser Zufall und vieles weitere sind daher auch Themen in unserer Besprechung. Zusammen überlegen Ines und Tobias, warum ihnen die Reihe wenig gegeben hat, woher das Gefühl des Hinhaltens kommt und wieso die Reihe zu einer Vorgeschichte für das Hörspiel Tempest Breaker - ebenfalls von Cavan Scott - degradiert wird. Zudem geht es um die Rückkehr vieler alter Hasen, die langsam überhandzunehmen drohen (das Rentensystem!!!) und die Erlösung einer tragischen Figur, die jedoch auch aufgeschoben, aber immerhin angerissen wird. Joshua Hagler (b. 1979, Mountain Home AFB, Idaho) is a first-generation graduate with a graphic design degree from The University of Arizona. A 2018 grant recipient of the Roswell Artist in Residence Program, Hagler has since made New Mexico his permanent home. Currently, he lives with his wife and daughter in the high desert village of Placitas at the foot of the Sandia Mountains. In recent years, his practice has been guided by an approach he calls Nihil, a set of nine self-imposed principles that have grown out of solitary excursions throughout the state. These principles determine all aspects of the work from its imagery and process to the media and objects comprising it. Marvel's plans for Star Wars when The Battle of Jakku maxi-series concludes in January. We're hopeful that more details about what's to come will be doled out in the coming weeks. It's now due out March 4Due out May 20 is Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures Phase III Vol. 3, collecting issues 11-13 and the Wedding Spectacular. The 112-page TPB from Dark Horse will retail for $19.99.With regard to Friday's Lucasfilm Publishing Panel at NYCC, in terms of Star Wars comics, the series Marc Guggenheim is writing is called Star Wars: Jedi Knights, with each issue a self-contained story. It's set before the events of The Phantom Menace. Featured characters will include Yaddle and a new Jedi who is disabled created expressly for the story.
