It's a Quick Fix featuring Joe Buono (@IslesFix) and former VP of Communications for the Islanders, Chris Botta (@ChrisBottaNHL).The signs are flashing “SELL!” after the Islanders' fourth straight loss, a 5-1 defeat to the New York Rangers on home ice, but should it also signal the raising of the white flag on their playoff hopes? After all the interviews I've done so far, this is one of my favourite episodes ever. Neil Best is an Ulster legend, fan favourite and one of the most abrasive and physical players who has ever played for the province. He's a big character and I know you'll love listening to our chat.
Andrew Gross and Neil Best put a bow on the season, plus hear from Islanders players on break-up day.
Trevor Bauer pitched against the Yankees for Diablos Rojos this weekend. Gio thinks he seems rehabilitated and this could be the perfect time for a team to bring him in. He would pitch for the minimum. Boomer wonders if the Dodgers will treat Ohtani the way they treated Bauer during his situation. Gio doesn't think it's apples to apples and doesn't think the Dodgers will treat him the same way. What would an MLB team be afraid of with Bauer? Are people going to cancel season tickets? Gio wonders how the Deshaun Watson signing affected the Cleveland Browns business. Jerry returns for an update and has audio from Dodgers manager Dave Roberts on the gambling policy for MLB. David Stearns gave us an update on Kodai Senga. Charles Barkley watched the dumbest college basketball game he's ever seen and it involved Grand Canyon. Patrick Beverly's podcast talked about the ‘whitest black guys' in the NBA. In the final segment of the hour, there's a Newsday article about Chris Oliviero pinned up in the newsroom. He runs this place. It was a Q&A with Neil Best of Newsday. He compared B&G to The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson back in the day. He also said he is not allowing Boomer to retire.
Hour 1 Everyone is back in their usual spots with Gio back from vacation. Shohei Ohtani will speak to the media today. We went over everything we know about the situation and where the real questions lie. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with Dave Roberts talking about Ohtani talking to the media today. A guy named ‘Timmy Smokes' on Twitter has a thread of bets that look very fishy surrounding Ohtani. We have no idea if it's true but it's got millions of views on Twitter. Jerry went around the NCAA tournament from the weekend. In the final segment of the hour, Gio has been going through the Timmy Smokes Twitter account to see if there's any real proof that Ohtani bet on particular games. This guy is a Giants fan so maybe he's just going after Ohtani because he's on the Dodgers. Andrew Perloff had a tweet about the elbow to the face of Caitlin Clark. He said it was not intentional and it now has 17 million views. A caller thinks maybe Ohtani is on performance enhancing drugs that he got in Japan that we can't detect here. Alrighty, hour over. Hour 2 Gio has returned from his vacation in Turks and Caicos. Upon returning Gio's dog, Elvis, was throwing up and lethargic. He couldn't poop so he ended up going to the emergency vet. He must have eaten something he shouldn't have but there was nothing lodged in his system. His daughter also had an earache. Welcome back to the real world. Gio and his wife were in a glass bottom kayak and the high winds were blowing them out to sea. Jerry returns for an update and starts with Mookie Betts talking about the Ohtani situation. Opening day is Thursday and the weather doesn't look good for the Mets. Friday does look good. Gio said he feels like it's been more windy than usual. Kim Mulkey has had it with a journalist who's writing an article about her. She said she would not let ‘one sleazy reporter' distract them during the tournament. Shannon Sharpe and Ochocinco commented on the situation and thinks maybe her players are not happy with her. Jerry thinks the Knicks will do well in the playoffs but he's so annoyed at Boomer that he wants them to lose. A caller wanted to know if Gio had squatters in his house when he returned from vacation. In the final segment of the hour, Pat Boyle was sleeping in a sales office because he worked last night and will be producing at 10am. We talked about Caleb Williams' attitude coming into the NFL. He will have Keenan Allen to throw to in Chicago and Gio thinks he will keep Williams in line if he needs to. Joe Benigno claims to love the Jets offseason moves. Boomer said he can't wait until the season starts and then Joe will hate the moves. Hour 3 Trevor Bauer pitched against the Yankees for Diablos Rojos this weekend. Hour 4 Shohei Ohtani will meet the media today to talk about the gambling situation with his former interpreter. We talked about Ohtani moving the $4.5 million from his account. Gio said maybe Ohtani will blame Yuri Sucart like ARod did. Jerry returns for his final update but first Boomer said he is rooting for NC State because he knows a kid on the team or something. Jerry starts with Dodgers manager Dave Roberts talking about Ohtani meeting the media today. Mookie Betts talked about having to play through all the noise. Jerry goes around the NCAA tournament from the weekend. Kim Mulkey will not be distracted by ‘one sleazy reporter'. The Moment of The Day involves Gio and his wife on a kayak that was heading out to sea. In the final segment of the show, Gio wonders if Boomer saw the sports minute uproar that happened with J-R when Boomer was out. We also talked about the wire transfer from Ohtani to the bookie.

In hopes to sound like she knows exactly what she is talking about during the Super Bowl, Anna reached out to Newsday's Neil Best to give her some tips of what she can say to make her sound like a football aficionado. Image Source: Getty Images
Usher is the Superbowl Halftime performer, but people are not very enthused. So, Anna and Raven sent Dee out on the streets to ask people their favorite Halftime Show of all time! Do you have all your snacks ready for the Superbowl? If not, Chef Plum spoke to Anna and Raven about how to make a big game classic at home! You don't need to have a full conversation with everyone you speak to at the grocery store, but if you can't even use basic manners, that's all I need to know about you! Anna found a list of the top five foods that people eat at the Superbowl! 4 of them she is on board with, but she was disgusted by one of them! People may not be thrilled about Usher performing at the Halftime show, but instead of just complaining, Anna and Raven decided to ask a bunch of kids who they would want to see perform instead! Every Friday, Raven's wife Alicia calls in to the show to give Raven a grade on how he did as a husband that week! This week, Alicia is struggling with balancing her girls weekend with their upcoming Superbowl party! What new rules should the NFL introduce for the Superbowl? Rules can change all the time, so Anna and Raven decided to ask some kids for their ideas! It's time for Mommy's Margarita Friday! Moms (and Dads) share all the crazy things that their kids have put them through this week that have definitely earned them a margarita! Are you going to a Superbowl party and are afraid everyone will realize you don't know anything about football? Anna has that same fear so she invited Neil Best from Newsday to give her some tips on how to fit in! Jake and Harper are planning a trip to Hawaii for Spring Break. Harper says it'll be considerably cheaper to pull the kids (age 9 and 15) out of school the week before. Jake things it's wrong to take the kids out of school for a vacation, even if it'll save them a lot of money. What would you do? Lindsey has a shot at $300! All she has to do is beat Raven in pop culture trivia!

Most MLB insiders think a trade won't happen before the deadline and will likely not get done until after the season. Jerry is here for his first update and we hear from HR Derby Champion, Juan Soto. Pete Alonso says great things about Mets fans. Aaron Judge says he doesn't play the game for money. Jerry has audio from a Newsday piece with Mark Chernoff. Hour 3: The 8am hour starts with the Derek Jeter documentary. Gio says he's not too interested because he's not a Yankees fan and he feels like he lived it. Boomer says he wouldn't be surprised if Juan Soto is on the Mets before the trade deadline. We take a bunch of calls on E-bikes and Juan Soto. Jerry returns for another update and starts with Juan Soto at the HR derby and talk of his impending trade. Aaron Judge says it's not about the money for him, though it seems to be. The founder of Ballsack Sports joined us to talk about his Twitter account that continues to fool people. And our main man Al Dukes stopped by to talk about the piece Neil Best wrote about him in Newsday.
Ballsack sports is a Twitter account that has duped a lot of major news outlets with fake stories, they even got our main man Jerry Recco this morning. Well turns out, the account is ran by one man, Matt, and Matt joined us today. After we talked to Matt, Craig popped on Al Dukes to talk about the piece Neil Best wrote about him in Newsday.
