Welcome to Inside the Epicenter! In this episode, Joel Rosenberg is joined by Dr. Tommy Fretwell to unpack a crucial theological question: Has the church replaced Israel in God’s plan, or does God still have a unique purpose for the Jewish people? Together, they explore the roots and impact of supersessionism—also known as replacement theology—and discuss why some in the church believe God’s promises to Israel now belong to the church. From Tommy’s extensive research, they break down the different forms of this theology, its historical consequences, and why a biblical understanding of Israel is so important for believers today. Whether you’re a pastor, Bible student, or just curious about Israel’s place in God’s story, this episode is full of insight, scriptural clarity, and practical encouragement. This week we continue our series called "The Lord's Prayer". This week's message is called "Praying For Our Needs - Part 6” given by Pastor EJ Tena. If you would like to support this ministry text "GIVE" to 479-777-4264 visit trcchurch.snappages.site for more information about us and our ministry.
On Sunday, we continued this series with a teaching on declaring the word of God as prayer. David shows us in the Psalms that in prayer there is a time for crying out in petition, exposing your need before God, and there is a time to rise and declare who God is and place your trust in Him. When the pain of life strikes, we need to know how to strengthen ourselves in the Lord. We do this by staying connected to His voice and feasting on His word! As we do this, the power of the gospel fills us and enables us to live by the Spirit. Link to Sermon Guide & Activations: 03.09.25 Sermon Guide
Your Nightly Prayer
Jesus commands unclean spirits to flee. Jesus tells blind eyes to open. Jesus invites healing to come - at all levels. Can we do any of this…or is it just Jesus? Scripture speaks of the Holy Spirit's empowerment of all believers to “do the stuff” of Jesus, starting with his closest disciples and moving to people who never met Jesus in the flesh in the book of Acts.Still, this can seem fairly intimidating. We're not just talking about confessing sin in prayer, petitioning God for ourselves and others, or listening to what God says to us in prayer. There is an opportunity for us to be like Jesus as he is in the scriptures: one with authority who invites God's Kingdom to come through prayers of command that set the world as it ought to be. As we close out our prayer series, we will take Jesus at his word and take some risks pursuing God's kingdom together.
Prayer isn't just an activity we squeeze into our busy schedules - it's a way of life. This week at Ethos, we dove into the heart of prayer: • Find your 'thin place' - a sacred space to meet with God • Keep it simple - God loves you more than you know • Keep it up - discipline and delight dance together in mature relationships • Pray what you've got - bring your true self to God, messy thoughts and allGet more out of today's teaching by visiting our Church Online page for things like our community guide, a weekly devotional, and the teaching slides.EthosOH.com/churchonlineEthos is a life-giving community committed to keeping Jesus at its Center. In this series we've been talking about abiding prayer, or prayer that helps us make our home in Jesus. In order to produce abiding, prayer must be filled with two-way communication, and to be honest, most of our prayers are one-way: us talking to God. Last week, Pastor Julie taught on listening prayer, and this week, pastor Joel teaches us about meditating on Scripture to help our prayer lead to abiding.
This past Sunday, Pastor Bill shared on prayer and praying to God as our Father like Jesus taught His disciples in Matthew 6:7. "Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be they name..." Bill shared how prayer is an invitation to an intimate relationship with God and when we pray to our Father we're simply coming to God as His beloved children. He encouraged us that as His children, we should depend on God for everything and find our security and confidence in His love for us. He taught that in areas where we have anxiety, God wants to take us deeper into understanding of God as a loving Father. Draw near to our loving Father who desires a relationship with us. We pray to the Father by the mechanism of the Holy Spirit, who helps us stay focused, brings order, guides us in all truth, and gives us the burden of what to pray for. It is not natural for us to pray; the Spirit makes intercession for us because we don't know what to pray for or how to pray. We should reflect on how we pray and what we pray about so we can have good communication with our Father. We pray to the Father through Christ, who opens the door to God for us as our High Priest. In the Old Testament, God appointed priests for men, but now the institution of the priesthood is done away with. We do not need a human to be our mediator because we have Christ. We have direct access to God through grace. God wants us to take our prayers boldly to His throne and come to Him with prayers from the heart. Christ taught us to address God as our Father when we pray. Through Christ, we have a new relationship with God; we have the kind of access that comes from being His children, partakers in the Sonship of Christ. We are instructed to ask, to seek, and to knock until He gives us what is in His will for us. Our prayers should be direct, sincere, and simple. Christians talk about Jesus in all kinds of ways—as God, a king, the messiah, a prophet, our sacrifice—but we less often relate to him as a rabbi, which is how many people primarily experienced him. He was a teacher, who taught people how to live wisely and fruitfully in God's world. When we take him seriously as our rabbi, we see how much he has to teach us. And one of his most famous teachings is on exactly what we're studying in this series: Abiding prayer. Join us as we come alongside our rabbi and learn his wisdom for prayer that connects us to our Father.

Welcome to the Podcast of Southwest Bible Fellowship in Tempe, Arizona. WHO ARE WE? • We are a group of people who are committed to living the grace life as set forth by the apostle of the Gentiles, the Apostle Paul. • We come together to study our Bibles, and yes, we believe we have God's perfect Word in the King James Bible. It and it alone is our final authority in all matters of faith and practice! • We do not come together and study our Bibles for the intent of being smarter than others. We understand that knowledge for the sake of knowledge is purely vain and serves no Godly purpose. • We do come together and study our Bibles for the intent of knowing our Lord Jesus Christ and the power of His resurrection. (Philippians 3:10) • We do come together and study our Bibles to understand that we have been crucified with Christ; nevertheless we live; yet not us, but Christ liveth in us: and the life which we now live in the flesh, we live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved us and gave himself for us. (Galatians 2:20) • We do come together and study our Bibles to understand that because Jesus Christ shed His blood for us and we should not live for ourselves but for Him, who died for us and rose again. (2 Cor. 5:15) • We do not claim to have attained to these lofty goals, but we press toward the mark of the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:14) You can donate to this ministry through www.butnow.org and the PayPal button on the homepage.

We are invited to go deeper into the heart of God through prayer. Via his Spirit, Jesus has made his home in us and we are invited to come into increasing union with him with all of our being. The pathway to this lifestyle of union with God is a crucified one. It is receiving Jesus's invitation to pick up our cross, and have our bodies broken to this world that our Spirit might pour out in greater communion with him. Praying in Jesus' name is approaching God based on what Jesus has done for you and asking for what Jesus would ask for if He were here.
Send us a Text Message. In this episode of "The Pivot," I offer motivational advice for those struggling with indecision and fear. The importance of taking small steps toward one's goals and understanding that these minor pivots can lead to significant changes are important.1. **Incremental Progress**: Take small, manageable steps toward your goals. Even a single pivot or decision can move you closer to your objectives.2. **Overcoming Fear**: Fear often holds people back from making necessary changes. Embrace change despite the fear, what's on the other side of needed decisions is worth the discomfort.3. **Faith and Prayer**: Praying for guidance and for the right people to come into your life can make a significant difference.4. **Seek Wisdom**: Surround yourself with wise, loving individuals who can provide insights and guidance. However, also be cautious about whom you share your plans with, as negativity or ignorance from others can be detrimental.5. **Be True to Yourself**: Consistently emphasize the importance of staying true to who you are, embracing your authentic self, and not letting fear or societal pressure change your core values.6. **Action is Required**: It's not enough to have faith or pray; you also need to take action toward your goals. God helps those who help themselves by taking actionable steps.7. **Process Over Perfection**: Understand that nothing is perfect from the get-go. Life is a series of steps and processes. Trust the process and believe that everything will work out in due time.8. **Value of Memories**: Capture moments through pictures as they tell a story and serve as a grounding reminder of how you felt at a particular moment in time.9. **Support and Encouragement**: The importance of community and support, sharing your stories, and supporting each other provides a strong impact.10. **Navigate Setbacks**: View setbacks or "no's" as opportunities to learn and build rather than as definitive ends. This involves understanding the reasons behind a setback and actively working to overcome them.Support the Show.
Prayer plugs us into God's power, but faith flips on the switch.
Praying with perseverance strengthens our faith and matures us spiritually.
One of the keys to powerful and effective prayer is when we pray for God's will in earnestness.

When we pray, we need to acknowledge that God holds all of the power. When we pray, we need to pray with reverence.
You can pray with confidence when you pray according to God's will.
John 17:1-5 [1] When Jesus had spoken these words, he lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, “Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son that the Son may glorify you, [2] since you have given him authority over all flesh, to give eternal life to all whom you have given him. [3] And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. [4] I glorified you on earth, having accomplished the work that you gave me to do. [5] And now, Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory that I had with you before the world existed.

In this episode, let's pray for our unsaved friends, family, and loved ones. Sometimes the Holy Spirit really presses on me to stop, drop, and pray for someone specific. I'm sure I'm not alone in this. So, let's pray together for the poeple in our lives who don't know the peace, joy, and grace of Jesus (yet). Let's lift our prayers up to the Lord today and focus on the miracle of salvation. The blog post I mentioned with the scripture to pray over your unsaved loved ones will be available March 12th.
