Welcome back! We're happy to have you along for season 2! On this episode of Vinyl Verdict, Bell, Jamie and Plouffe, listen to Bell's next pick, Prozzak's Hot Show. Like Gorillaz, Prozzak is a virtual band, consisting of two characters - Simon and Milo. In reality, Prozzak consists of the Canadian duo Jay Levine and James Bryan McCollum, previously of the group The Philosopher Kings. Levine and McCollum started Prozzak after needing a way to hash out their differences musically, eventually presenting the music they created to their label, Sony, who greenlit them to make a whole album. This resulted in the release of Hot Show, their first studio album. The album spawned five singles, with Strange Disease and Sucks to Be You being the two most successful. Will this episode be a Hot Show? Will you, the listener lament that it Sucks to be You for having to listen to it? Come along and find out!
After a long summer, Vinyl Verdict will be returning from our break with season 2 on September 2nd! Our first two episodes will be Bell's pick Hot Show by Prozzak, and Jamie's pick The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway by Genesis. Thank you so much for tuning in, we can't wait to talk soon! Also: Make sure to check out vinylverdict.com where we'll be updating it with our reviews from Season 1!

With her friend Jack, she decides to investigate, and finds herself caught in a web of intrigue. It's an explosive parcel of action and adventure.Fun Facts:This is the last film that Lindsay Lohan stars in under her original Disney contract that required her to do three movies, the other two being The Parent Trap and Life-Size.At the beginning of the movie when Lexy and Jen are showing each other their outfit choices, the song playing was later used in Hannah Montana as being the song that Mikayla (Selena Gomez) sings.A song by the band Prozzak, "Get a Clue," appeared in the film and the music video was shown on Disney Channel at the time of its release. The name of the band was changed to Simon and Milo, named after the characters depicted in the music video, so their band name would not be associated with the drugs.A well-concealed reshoot took place in late 2001 to film a different ending concluding that the villain in the film was Meany. In the original ending, the villain turned out to be Mrs. Stern, a teacher at Lexy's school who had known Mr. Walker while he was living in Arizona.Next Movie: Gotta Kick It Up! ★ Support this podcast on Patreon ★
Everything is virtual these days…outside of the stuff you've got in your pocket, money is nothing but a bunch of zeroes and ones…we shop online at virtual stores…we read virtual books on our tablets… Even our relationships have gone that way because of Facebook and twitter and Instagram… A lot of our music is virtual, too…it's been that way since we started ripping our cds and trading mp3s online...then came stores like iTunes with its digital tracks and albums and metadata… So it stands to reason, that we should have virtual artists, performers that don't exist in real life…sure, there's some human component, but the stay in the background where we rarely (if ever) see them… Back in the 60s, we had the Archie's, who were followed by Josie and the Pussycats…then Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem on “The Muppets” … Dethklok, The Chipmunks, Prozzak, Crazy Frog, The Banana Splits….Mistula is from the Philippines and represented by a bunch of female dools…the bots are all cg creations…Hatsune Miku is a Japanese hologram…then there's Jen and the Holograms… They all have their appeal, but there is one virtual group that eclipses them all…not only have they had hit singles and multi-platinum albums, but they also tour…they're even listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the most-successful virtual band of all time… This is the story of The Gorillaz… See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Prozzäk (also known as Simon and Milo) were a Canadian pop music duo that consisted of Jay Levine and James Bryan McCollum. Their recordings and animated music videos told the tale of two friends, Simon (Levine) and Milo (McCollum), who are in search of their true love. The band received four Juno Award nominations during their tenure. From their formation to 2016, Prozzäk was among the top 80 best-selling Canadian artists in Canada. The Toronto Band started as a jazz/ pop group, before gravitating into an adult contemporary. In between PK the members branched off. The animated pop group Prozzak and front man Gerald Eaton took on the alter ego Jarvis Church. While Never making a splash as a band they all found success behind the scenes.
Canada's Sweetheart, Simone Belshaw, brings us three amazing boyband videos from the Great White North that blew her her mind and awakened her sexuality when she was a preteen. We start our journey at a house party in Soul Decision's Faded, getting into her crush on lead singer Trevor and why they may not have been the Maroon 5 of their time. Then we head into the old west (possibly, it's unclear) with Prozzak's Sucks to Be You while trying to unpack their complicated mythology (seriously it's denser than the Silmarillion). We finally end the episode at the beach with B4-4's way, way too aggressive ode to oral sex Get Down and in the process cyberstalk the LinkedIn page of the one member who really made something of his life. It's a crazy fun episode where we cover everything from frosted tips to banana milkshakes and even get into Matthew's body issues. So if you miss it, well, then it sucks to be you. Please rate, review and subscribe wherever you can. It really helps the show. And tell a friend! Thanks. It turns out "I'm a ball of shiray" was not the actual lyric to the song on Prozzak's debut album entitled "Hot Show" that we reviewed this week. Who knew! Will this late-90's animated pop band infect us with its strange disease? Or will it suck to be us this week? Only one way to find out!

This is a very special episode of Capsule. It’s short and sweet, very much like Simon of Prozzak. My adventure into music began in the mid 90’s. And I will always have engraved in my memory,... The post 111: Prozzak appeared first on LIVE IN LIMBO.
