See all Wedding Songs Podcast episodes Podcast Transcript Thank you for tuning into the 85th episode of the Wedding Songs Podcast. I am Matt Campbell and today I am going to be talking about memorial songs you can play during your wedding day, to remember loved ones you have lost. Before I get started I just wanted to give a shout-out to all of the wedding professionals who stopped at our booth at the Wedding MBA. With more than 5400 in attendance, I have to say it was great meeting all the DJs, Wedding planners, Wedding venues, and all of the wedding professionals that stopped by our booth. It was great meeting everyone and sharing our Wedding son suggestions. So, again, thank you very much and we look forward to next year. Now, to get started, I am going to talk about very popular songs to play for particular members of your family that may have passed away. Starting off with your father, three of my favorites are “Dance With My Father” by Luther Vandross, “In The Living Years” by Mike & The Mechanics, and “Thank You For Being My Dad” by Jon Barker. Next up is Mother and my three favorites are “Two Of Us' by Louis Tomlinson (former member of One Direction), “Bye Mom” by Chris Janson, and “Supermarket Flowers” by Ed Sheeren. If you lost a child, you may consider “Tears In Heaven” by Eric Clapton, “Heaven Bound Balloons” by Granger Smith, and “Who You'd Be Today” by Kenny Chesney. If you lost a friend then “See You Again” by Wiz Khalifa featuring Charlie Puth which was featured in the Fast and Furious series, “Drink A Beer” by Luke Bryan, and “Broken Halos” by Chris Stapleton. And, if you lost a military member then “Arlington” by Trace Atkins, “The Ones Who Didn't Make it Back Home” by Justin Moore, and “Some Gave All” by Billy Ray Cyrus. So, that is just a few to get your mind thinking a little bit about how you want to remember a loved one during your wedding day. If you want to read the list or listen to the list you can do so on our website MyWeddingSongs.com. While you are there make sure you sign up for our newsletter of all the new wedding songs released in the prior month including some great trending songs you can add to your wedding day playlist. On our website, I do feature one hundred songs. I am not going to go thru all of them today. I do have favorite lyric quotes for each song so that way you get a vibe for what each song is about. Let me cover just a few of those to give you an idea. The first one I want to mention is by a new artist HunterGirl, who was on American Idol, with her new song “Red Bird”. Now the “Red Bird” song actually has meaning to us because we lost an Aunt and any time we saw a red cardinal we would always think of her and think that she was present. That is kind of what this song is saying with the lyrics…‘Cause I could use a redbird right now, One from the other side of the clouds, I'm feeling lost and empty, Letting me know that you're still with me. Try to select a song that really reminds you of the person that you lost. Maybe it is a song that you danced to with them, maybe it is a song you had a special meaning with them. That would be the first and foremost song I would choose on your wedding day. Another choice in the Country genre (which is where I am going to start) would be “Bye Mom” by Chris Janson. Lyrics include…And that's a special kind of love, And it's only there for a lifetime, then it's gone, And it's bye mom. Another one that is really popular is Carly Pearce's song “Show Me Around” with the lyrics…And we'll get to spend forever talkin' 'bout whatever, When I get there, promise you'll track me down and show me around. Another song, released in 2019, is “Drowning” by Chris Young with the lyrics…How you were taken way too soon, It ain't the same here without you, I gotta say,

Episode #107 - This Marvelous MEMORIAL DAY Motivating Monday, as we celebrate Memoria Day, we open with a little of Billy Ray Cyrus song Some Gave All.  When go on to discuss evolving to challenge ourselves.  Evolve is defined as develop gradually, especially from a simple to a more complex form.  Challenge is defined as an objection or query as to the truth of something, often with an implicit demand for proof.  Before we talk about today's history, I want to thank every military veteran and current personnel for keeping our country safe – THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE!  I also thank their families for sharing their heroes with us – We Are Grateful.  Unfortunately, this 2021 Memorial Day also is the 100 Year Anniversary in America of the Burning of Greenwood (outside of Tulsa) Oklahoma known as Black Wall Street on May 31 and June 1, 1921.  Also called the Tulsa Race Massacre, is said to be one of the single worst incident(s) of racial violence in American history. Destroying more than 35 square blocks of the district at the time the wealthiest Black community in America.  It is funny because it is so hard for me to say United States of America because we are not a United country.  Thank you @VonnettaLWest for your inspiring teaching.  WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY?  LINKS BELOW FOR: APPLE, GOOGLE, PANDORA, AND SPOTIFY.  https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/ladiespromotingtransparentadvocacy/id1526382637 https://www.pandora.com/podcast/ladiespromotingtransparentadvocacy/PC:52161?corr=17965216&part=ug&_branch_match_id=819557998249581330 https://open.spotify.com/show/5x7xSxWi2wj2UXPsWnZ0cw?si=peGax6j6SIumBT5tq7_hhg https://podcasts.google.com/?feed=aHR0cHM6Ly9mZWVkLnBvZGJlYW4uY29tL2xhZGllc3Byb21vdGluZ3RyYW5zcGFyZW50YWR2b2NhY3kvZmVlZC54bWw&ep=14 Sources:  Google.com, Historoy.com, Dr. Vonnetta West – Go West Consulting LLC, Billy Ray Cyrus – Some Gave All. Churches Are Essential and have always been 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. John 1 verses 1-4 I want to thank President Trump for having the courage stating that houses churches are to be considered essential and that governors are not to impede worship from taking place. I'm sure that many churches are still concern if this is still a legal issue for many churches currently. Although some may think we are not a Christian nation they need to think again; The U.S. Constitution never explicitly mentions God or the divine, but the same cannot be said of the nation's state constitutions. In fact, God or the divine is mentioned at least once in each of the 50 state constitutions and nearly 200 times overall, according to a Pew Research Center analysis. There is ongoing violence against many Christian we should not be Conservative Christian we should not be stunningly and tellingly silent about sharing God's word and its truth  Upon my research from David L. Holmes, C. James Moore, and Tim LaHaye books both books are title the faith of our founding fathers I found that the U.S. Founding Fathers fell into three religious' categories: the smallest group, founders who had left their Judeo-Christian heritages and become advocates of the Enlightenment religion of nature and reason called "Deism". These figures included Thomas Paine and Ethan Allen. the founders who remained practicing Christians. They retained a super naturalist world view, a belief in the divinity of Jesus Christ, and an adherence to the teachings of their denomination. These founders included Patrick Henry, John Jay, and Samuel Adams. Holmes also finds that most of the wives and daughters of the founders fell into this category. the largest group consisted of founders who retained Christian loyalties and practice but were influenced by Deism. They believed in little or none of the miracles and supernaturalism inherent in the Judeo-Christian tradition. Holmes finds a spectrum of such Deistic Christians among the founders, ranging from John Adams and George Washington on the conservative right to Benjamin Franklin and James Monroe on the skeptical left. So as far as I can tell we started out as a Christian nation and still is it just that many do not want to accept or believe. Washington's Prayer for the United States of America Almighty God; We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy Holy protection; and Thou wilt incline the hearts of the citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to government; and entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for their fellow citizens of the United states at large. And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind which were the characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed religion, and without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation. Grant our supplication, we beseech thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.   John Adams  SIGNER OF THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE; JUDGE; DIPLOMAT; ONE OF TWO SIGNERS OF THE BILL OF RIGHTS; SECOND PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES The general principles on which the fathers achieved independence were the general principles of Christianity. I will avow that I then believed, and now believe, that those general principles of Christianity are as eternal and immutable as the existence and attributes of God. 1.Without religion, this world would be something not fit to be mentioned in polite company: I mean hell. 2.The Christian religion is, above all the religions that ever prevailed or existed in ancient or modern times, the religion of wisdom, virtue, equity, and humanity. 3.Suppose a nation in some distant region should take the Bible for their only law book and every member should regulate his conduct by the precepts there exhibited. . .. What a Eutopia – what a Paradise would this region be! 4.I have examined all religions, and the result is that the Bible is the best book in the world. HELP! WE'VE BEEN ROBBED! A U.S. federal judge was fascinated by the testimony of the expert witness on the stand as he described the distortion of history in the state-approved textbooks. The judge had always been led to believe that students and their parents could trust their schoolbooks. Consequently, it was difficult for him to believe that the religious history of America had been systematically stolen from our nation's texts. Dr. Paul C. Vitz, New York University psychology. America, we need God……World we need God  I'm Truly Blessed: (I'm just a nobody trying to tell everybody about somebody that can save anybody ….do you know him …his name is JESUS) I'm not ashamed of the Gospel: : I pray to never begin my day without thinking that perhaps he may interrupt my daily routine and begin His own. What is Back to Normal?   Matthew 6:34 English Standard Version (ESV) 34 “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.           What is normal? What is normal? I keep hearing when things get back to normal, I believe that this word normal meaning is different for each person. Okay let look at it this way to those that lost a loved one to Covid 19 getting back to normal is not a reality for them, for they have lost someone that will no longer be with them daily. Or the person that was laid off not knowing when this Covid -19 ends will thy still have a job especially if they live in a not a right to work a state that has a law that states is not a right to work in this state. So, what is normal? Will I be evicted? even through the Governor requested that eviction be halted? Eviction Directives Residential and commercial evictions are still permitted under the Order but are discouraged. Meanwhile, many counties have closed their courts for non-essential evictions, so be sure to check as local court orders are issued limiting evictions.                            So, what is getting back to normal? The word Normal' in the Bible: 14 occurrences in 7 translations' For me my normal would be doing the will of God the best I can and not living in fear. The Bible mentions two specific types of fear. The first type is beneficial and is to be encouraged. The second type is a detriment and is to be overcome.  The first type of fear is fear of the Lord. This type of fear does not necessarily mean to be afraid of something. Rather, it is a reverential awe of God, a reverence for His power and glory. However, it is also a proper respect for His wrath and anger. In other words, the fear of the Lord is a total acknowledgement of all that God is, which comes through knowing Him and His attributes. However, sometimes we are afraid, sometimes this “spirit of fear” overcomes us, and to overcome it we need to trust in and love God completely. “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love” (1 John 4:18). No one is perfect, and God knows this. That is why He has liberally sprinkled encouragement against fear throughout the Bible. Beginning in the book of Genesis and continuing throughout the book of Revelation, God reminds us to “Fear not.” So, I choose to pray for our world and its leaders, and live according to God plans for me one day at a time: The Bible clearly teaches that Christians are not to worry. In Philippians 4:6, we are commanded, “Do not be anxious [do not worry] about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” In this Scripture, I have learned that I should bring all my needs and concerns to God in prayer rather than worry about them. Jesus encourages us to avoid worrying about our physical needs like clothing and food. Jesus assures us that our heavenly Father will take care of all our needs (Matthew 6:25-34). Therefore, we have no need to worry about anything. So, in other words back normal is new or trying to live life as we once knew it. What you normal? please keep our nation and this world as well as myself in your prayers I'm Truly Blessed: (I'm just a nobody trying to tell everybody about somebody that can save anybody ….do you know him …his name is JESUS) I'm not ashamed of the Gospel: : I pray to never begin my day without thinking that perhaps he may interrupt my daily routine and begin His own. I am not looking for death. I am looking for Him.Today might be the last day when Jesus returns. : I Would rather stand with GOD and be judged by the world, Than to stand with the world and be judged by GOD (GOD'S judgement is eternal) The Joy I have the world did not give it to me……And the world can not take it away.
