Seasons of waiting seem like nothing is happening, but what if God was using them to shake loose all the things we were leaning on that would not serve us in the place He is taking us? Declarations: - I Stand in the waiting, trusting You have told me all I need to know. - I Surrender my power and judgment to You.

On the 53rd Episode of the Album Review Crew of Shout It Out Loudcast, Tom, Zeus & special guest, rock journalist, author and fellow Pantheon podcaster, Martin Popoff review the 1981 rock album by Rainbow, "Difficult To Cure." Rainbow and was on its third incarnation by 1981. Rainbow was still led by one of the greatest guitarist of all time, Ritchie Blackmore. SIOL favorite Don Airey was still there on keyboards as was former bassist and chief lyricist, bassist Roger Glover. However, gone was drummer extraordinaire Cozy Powell and new singer Graham Bonnet, who only appeared on one album, the previously reviewed "Down To Earth", see Episode 25 of the Album Review Crew. Replacing Powell was American drummer, Bobby Rondinelli and replacing Bonnet, was another American, Joe Lynn Turner. JLT as he's known, gave Rainbow and even more commercial sound with his one of a kind melodic voice. Rainbow had come a long way from the Ronnie James Dio led Rainbow days. Ritchie wanted a more commercial band that could break through in America. Difficult To Cure's melodic sound was evident on the opening track, "I Surrender," another Russ Ballard song. The album featured a mixture of melodic, classical, hard rock and pop songs. There were two instrumental a signature of Ritchie Blackmore. The songs "Can't Happen Here" & "I Surrender" also received video plays, during the early days of MTV. The album was produced by Roger Glover and was the highest charting album in the UK for Rainbow and went Gold in the UK. As usual the boys breakdown and dissect the tracks and rank the songs. They then rank the album and the album cover against the previous 51 albums reviewed on the Album Review Crew. This was Zeus' pick. We conclude the sermon series "I Surrender" with a message about how we surrender ourselves to the King and not just parts of our lives.
"I allow: Two very powerful words in reclaiming your own power again from within. These two words can change your entire mentality of where responsibility exists, and it is not “out there”, it is within. I used these words to shift ALL back to me, so I would stop focusing on another who I had given my power away to, by focusing on them and what “they” were doing. I realized that it did not matter what they did, for they did exactly what I allowed them to. So, I used to say over and over “It's not what they do, it's what I allow”. By embracing the words "I allow," we pave the way for profound internal growth. We learn to love ourselves, to honor our journey, and to act with integrity. This growth isn't just about personal empowerment but also about transcending our limited perspectives. By understanding our role in each interaction, we cultivate compassion and gratitude for those who've been catalysts in our growth journey. Affirmations used

Continuing in our "I Surrender" message series, Donnie preaches a word out of Jeremiah 18 today about the potter and the clay. We are created in God's image, but are we moldable? Sin steps in and disturbs the molding process God has on our lives, we should turn and let God have his way and shape our lives into the beautiful pots he wants us to be. Enjoy the message.
Donnie starts a new series titled "I Surrender" and speaks a message entitled Which chair are you sitting in? He uses 3 examples, the 1st being the chair of the non-believing world, the 2nd being the chair of the luke warm Christian, and the 3rd being the chair of the mature follower in Christ. As we have come to Christ, we have all been in one of those chairs at one time or another, but where are you now? And who are you bringing along with you? Enjoy the message!

Welcome to day 14 of Journeying Through a Month of Grace. Today we give ourselves surrender. Give your grief, your sadness, your control to GOD. Give it up. Surrender deep and let GOD, the Divine, take care of it today. “TRIPPING OVER JOY What is the difference Between your experience of Existence And that of a saint? The saint knows That the spiritual path Is a sublime chess game with God And that the Beloved Has just made such a Fantastic Move That the saint is now continually Tripping over Joy And bursting out in Laughter And saying, “I Surrender!” Whereas, my dear, I am afraid you still think You have a thousand serious moves.” ― Hafez, I Heard God Laughing: Poems of Hope and Joy So, today give yourself surrender. ----------------- As we're Wrapping Up 2022 (listen to episode #167) many of us find ourselves in a lot of fast-paced pressure. We have so many things we wanna wrap up, finish and complete before we enter the year of 2023, that we tend to forget to really tune in and slow down. This is the season to slow down. We are given 3-7 days of bereavement leave and, in the US, it is not required to be paid leave. And, after the first month, most of the extra help and support is dwindling because people get back to their lives with the expectations that you are as well. The problem is that you don't have your life to get back to. In this episode, I'll share how to resist the secondhand stress of society and harder still, the first-hand stress you put on yourself to be better quickly. Learn how this microwave mentality of grief is harmful to you and how to give yourself the same grace (in this case, grief grace) that you would effortlessly give to others. Verse – (Paul speaking) So here's what I want you to do: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you. Romans 12:1-2 (msg) Song. For the first time ever, Jake's Take is welcoming some of its favorite acts from Canada's Got Talent (CGT). It is a true honor and privilege to welcome singer Jeanick Fournier to The Jake's Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast. Jeanick, a Chicoutimi, Quebec resident, auditioned for Canada's Got Talent with Celine Dion's “I Surrender.” As someone who has covered the Got Talent franchise for a decade, her audition was one of the best singing auditions I have EVER HEARD. All four judges (Howie Mandel, Lilly Singh, Trish Stratus, and Kardinal Offishall) gave her a standing ovation before hitting the decrescendo. Also, the performance received host Lindsay Ell's Golden Buzzer, which allowed her to join Canada's Got Talent: Season Two semifinals. On the fifth special Canada's Got Talent edition of The Jake's Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast, Jeanick Fournier talked about her electrifying audition and receiving Lindsay Ell's Golden Buzzer. She also spoke about the chance of performing in front of the Got Talent franchise creator, Simon Cowell, if she makes it to CGT's finale.
