Fáilte ar ais chuig eagrán nua de Ar An Lá Seo ar an 24ú lá de mí na Nollaig, liomsa Lauren Ní Loingsigh. I 1979 tharla crith talún sa Bhreatain agus san Albain. Bhí lár den chrith talún ach 15 míle ón stáisiún cumhachta núicléach is mó ar an domhain. I 1986 eitil an Rutan Model 76 Voyager timpeall an domhain gan stopadh. Leaindeáil sé go sábháilte ag bunáit aerfhórsa Edwards tar éis 9 lá. I 1986 bhí Mary Cotter mar údar den leabhar Cookery For Today le Mary McGuinness. Bhí a lán rudaí sa leabhar cosúil le béile sláintiúil go pleanáil don tseachtain agus bhí béim ar comhábhair Éireannach. I 2010 fuair aerfort na Sionainne níos mó paisinéirí agus níos mó airgead de bharr gur thit go leor sneachta. De bharr sin dhún a lán aerfort timpeall na hEorpa agus d'fhan aerfort na Sionainne ar oscailt. Sin The Housemartins le Caravan of Love – an t-amhrán is mó ar an lá seo I 1986. Ag lean ar aghaidh le nuacht cheoil ar an lá seo I 1967, chan The Bee Gees ar an teilifís. Bhí sé seo I gcóir a cheolchoirm Nollaig speisialta ón Learpholl sa Bhreatain. I 1988 thosaigh Nirvana á dtaifead a chéad albam 'Bleach' ag úsáid iasacht de 600 dollar. Bhí teidil an t-albam Too Many Humans ar dtús ach d'aistrigh Kurt Cobain an teidil nuair a fuair sé póstaer nuair a bhí siad ag tiomáint tríd San Francisco. Agus ar deireadh breithlá daoine cáiliúla ar an lá seo rugadh amhránaí Ricky Martin I Puerto Rico I 1971 agus rugadh amhránaí Louis Tomlinson sa Bhreatain I 1991, agus seo chuid de a amhrán. The members of One Direction have paid tribute to their bandmate, Liam Payne. Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and Harry Styles say they are "completely devastated" and "the memories we shared with him will be treasured forever". Plus, the wife of a Conservative councillor has been jailed for 31 months after calling for hotels housing asylum seekers in the UK to be set on fire. She posted the expletive-ridden message on X on the day three girls were killed in a stabbing incident in NW England. And, several UK cabinet ministers have written to the prime minister two weeks ahead of the Budget, to voice concerns over the scale of cuts their departments may face. Steep spending cuts are forecast to plug a £40bn funding gap. In what's an unusual move some ministers are “going over the head” of the chancellor, to address the prime minister directly.
