  We return to the Onyx Path and the Storypath system for our review of Trinity Continuum Aeon. Set 100 years in the future, Aeon is an optimistic science fiction RPG where psi-powered heroes unite and sacrifice to make the world a better place. Our character for this episode is Chen Weiwei. Chen Weiwie grew up in the privilege of the Chinese middle class. He benefitted from the technology and education available to loyal citizens. His upbringing left him wanting to serve for the better of his fellow citizens and those less lucky than he. When he tested positive for psi-potential, there was little question that he'd join the Ministry. However, during his psychological profiling, they decided he would be better suited as a clairsentient than a telepath, and arranged for him to use the ISRA Prometheus Chamber. In the years since, his quick wit and keen intellect have made him an excellent investigator and the crimes he's witnessed have not dampened his jovial demeanor. Red Moon Roleplaying are proud to announce our campaign "TERROR AT MAKE-OUT POINT" for the Sci-Fi horror game "They Came From Beneath The Sea" from our friends at Onyx Path Publishing, with the game's creator The Gentleman Gamer, Matthew Dawkins as our Gamemaster / Director. This will be a short campaign before we begin our next big thing and will give you a chance to follow the misanthropic Dr. White, played by Craig, the high-flying B.C. Rosberg, played by Hjalmar, and the pinko-hunting Agent Faulkner, played by Mattiaz, as they unravel the mystery that is "TERROR AT MAKE-OUT POINT". The setting is a take on the 1950's Alabama that you can see in Sci-Fi monster movies from that era. While the game embraces humor and schlock, Matthew will be keeping the Red Moon formula intact by taking us down far darker paths and putting us against nightmarish Lovecraftian horrors beyond human imagination. A  presumed life on the streets has given her a waifish air, and those who get to know her sane and crazy alike say that she is simply fey. Her contacts on the streets trust her though, and protect her from the harsher realities of their lives when they can. Her hair is full, dark, and curly (but seldom washed). Her eyes a deep forest green with dark circles from sleepless nights spent on the city street but betray a deep sensitivity to the world around her. Leona keeps her clothes as clean as she can and wears many layers, changing the weight of fabric depending on the season. When she can find it she prefers loud prints to plain colors reveling in a riot of colors as much as possible. She's like a lost fairy princess, searching for her throne. I highly recommend the StoryPath unit plan by Margit McGuire titled "Freedom's Summer." During this unit, students become personally involved with civic education and the Civil Rights Movement of the 1950s and 1960s. The unit is targeted at students in grades 5-8. The curriculum and teacher's guide (including all needed resources) is available for free online.For teachers hoping to teach similar concepts (e.g., service learning, civic responsibility, making community change) in the younger grades, I recommend the StoryPath unit titled "The Park." It is also available for free online.
