Well, we did it! Last week, we wrapped up the very first round of HER Style Collective! Over the course of 90 days, I walked an incredible group of women through my proven process to buying less, shopping smarter, and building wardrobes they love. It was such a success, a majority of them are continuing into the next round, starting on January 4th, so they can do it all again for their spring wardrobes.   On Thursday, we had our celebration call to share our wins, set our next wardrobe goals, and talk about some ideas to make the next round of the Collective even better. I have to say, I learned a lot through this process and working on my own wardrobe right alongside them.   So I decided to sit down, put pen to paper, and journal out the 7 key lessons I'm walking away with so YOU can benefit from this experience — even if you decide not to step inside yourself. Although, I highly recommend that you do!

I launched my 90-day group coaching program, HER Style Collective, for the very first time this fall. I had implemented the same 6-step framework to building a wardrobe with private clients in the past. And I taught the concepts inside a self-study course. I knew it was effective, but I had NO IDEA what was going to happen running this process with a live group of women from multiple countries and with various budgets and backgrounds. I didn't know if the ladies would show up to the live coaching calls each week or participate inside the Private Membership Community. I didn't know how long it would take them to reach the results they wanted. But I knew I was committed to each of their success, no matter what it took.   These women put their trust in me to guide them through understanding their style foundations, auditing their wardrobes, dreaming up a vision for their capsules, and shopping and styling in a way that was intentional and effective. And I have to say, I could NOT have asked for a better group of humans for this first round. They have shown up! They have done the work! They've asked the questions! And they've had success faster and more profoundly than I ever could have imagined. But I don't want you to take my word for it.   I invited 3 of the current members onto HER Style Podcast so you could hear about their experiences firsthand. In this interview, they'll open up about the challenges they had coming into HER Style Collective, what's surprised them so far on their journeys, the wins they've had – at just ⅔ of the way in!, and their HONEST thoughts about the investment and whether they have any regrets.   I cannot wait for you to come behind-the-scenes with us and hear what they have to say! In 2019 they were fortunate enough to be stocked by Net-a-Porter which enabled them to be able to elevate their brand status. They designed an exclusive limited edition collection with Net-a-Porter in 2019, and are doing another with them in 2020.On the podcast we touch on how supportive their friends have been since they started the brand, "My friends have been so supportive of the brand that I have to check before I go to an event that we aren't wearing the same Harmur piece" says Matilda. Within the podcast the girls also elaborate on how they were able to start the brand, getting a loan from Virgin. "Some people think that you need £100,000 to start a brand and to be successful at it, but you don't necessarily need that." In addition the ladies give their advice on how to be successful "Start with a clear idea of what it is that makes your product different, and what it is that you're focussing on."We touched on the topic of being sustainable as a luxury fashion brand. Harmur are being forward thinking on this topic, by partnering with Style Collective and changing their packaging to be fully bio-degradable. They also focus on slow growth - "Slow growth has always been something we have focussed on, selling out of products first rather than to keep churning them out."Check out the brand at www.harmur.co.uk or shop.online at www.net-a-porter.co.uk.If you also want to stumble across a vintage Chanel two piece suit, checkout Frock Me Vintage here https://www.frockmevintagefashion.com/ usually held at Chelsea Town Hall, however there may be cancellations due to COVID-19 restrictions.Check out our instagram @stylecollectivelondon to see images of the pieces that Connie and Tilly talk about in our #ForeverWardrobe section!

Then she started blogging and connected with other women bloggers. Having that community made her feel like herself again. She decided to leave her job and create a membership-based blogger tribe for women, Style Collective.     Question Highlights:   -How did you build a dream when you and your husband were both unemployed?    -Is it possible for people to figure out what they want if they’re in a bad environment? -How do you deal when people say you’re selfish for prioritizing your needs? -What is the worst thing you’ve experienced in business? -How can people start building a support system from nothing? -How do you operate from abundance even when people take advantage?   Guest Bio: Annie Spano is a former math teacher and corporate marketer with a BS in mathematics education and an MBA. She is the Founder of Style Collective, an online supportive community with influencer education that empowers women to find their purpose, be inclusive and achieve success.  Style Collective was created in reaction to an experience no other woman should ever have. In late 2015, Annie left her job in corporate marketing after being bullied and harassed by another woman in the workplace. The experience left her feeling defeated and emotionally drained. She wished there was a way for women to work together and help each other achieve success. Annie has since made it her mission to empower other women, improve their happiness, and help them achieve their goals through sisterhood and support of a shared passion. Style Collective is the realization of that mission.

How important is it for an influencer to have a support system? Wouldn't it be great if you were a part of an influencer community that empowers you as you pursue your passion and turn it into a business? Let's find out in today's episode as we explore the power of an influencer community with Style Collective's Annie Spano. “We're just trying to make a difference in the world through our craft and our passion.” Style Collective is an influencer community for women to connect, grow, and learn how to be successful bloggers and entrepreneurs. Prior to starting Style Collective, Annie had been in a toxic work situation in her corporate job after she had graduated from her MBA and realized she needed to get out. She felt the need to be around other people that were positive and inspiring. She also needed to be where she could be a leader and empower women. She started her blog in October 2015 and did some consulting through it for a local boutique. She began to know other fashion bloggers that were starting at the same time and she connected with these women on a deeper level. She became best friends with some of them and she started a Facebook group for all of them to connect with each other, to share tips and ideas with each other, and encourage each other. Through that, Annie saw the power of an influencer community. Now, Annie connects women from all over the world through community and empowers them to do what they love through leadership and influencer education. We hear of career changes all the time. Ellen Degeneres was a paralegal before she was a daytime talk show host. Julia Child was a spy for the CIA before she became a culinary genius.   We all have our reasons to leave one profession for another. Our guest Annie Spano’s reason to leave was a more personal reason. Annie hopped from job to job, moving from high school math teacher to a project coordinator in a big corporate business.   However, as she started to grow in the position and in her education, she started recognizing a ‘work bully’ situation in the office.   She then left and created ‘Style Collective’, a community to collaborate and empower other women to grow their fashion blogs. Annie connects with people through sharing this story, a story of learning from a personal hardship and growing from the experience. (8:40) “Your past doesn’t define who you are. You can write your own story, you can start over. I have started over many times. This is my third career now, and I am in my early thirties -- and you know the ‘work bully’. If had listened to everything that she had told me and let that bug in my ear bring me down, I wouldn’t be able to do what I do today.” --Annie Spano   (12:40) “I wanted so bad to be a leader in the position I was working in and I was not able to do that. My love for leadership and inspiring others and empowering them, showing them my hustle so they hustle. It empowers them and inspires them to help other woman in the community” --Annie Spano   (14:56) “Post constantly, being engaging, providing helpful content, celebrating our members on social media and on our website and on our emails and being inspirational. Really showing that as an organization we care about our members”-- Annie Spano   Connect with Annie: http://www.anniespano.com Twitter:@annie_spano Facebook:https://www.facebook.com/amspano/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/annie_spano/   Connect with Kelly: www.kellyroachcoaching.com www.facebook.com/kellyroachinternational www.twitter.com/kellyroachint     A HUGE thank you for listening to Unstoppable Success Radio!   I would be so grateful if you left me a rating and review!     My mission and goal is to serve you, my listeners, so please submit your questions for an upcoming #ask Kelly episode by emailing coaching@kellyroachcoaching.com or @kellyroachint or calling 610 910 3600 to submit your questions!       Here's how I can help you achieve your goals:     -How to build, scale and automate growth in your business:kellyroachcoaching.com/yes     -Take your hobby, side hustle or new business quickly to the 100k mark: kellyroachcoaching.com/100k     -Turbo charge your productivity, breakthrough overwhelm and the impact the profit in your business in 30 day or less kellyroachcoaching.com/higher-profits/     -Inquire about Private consulting and coaching by completing the application at: http://kellyroachcoaching.com/apply-now/     Get insider tips and resources only available to my private email community by texting IGNITE to 44222 or visiting kellyroachcoaching.com and selecting any of the exciting resources or trainings available for immediate download.     Have you gotten your copy of UNSTOPPABLE: 9 Principles for Unlimited Success in Business and in Life at Amazon here NOW!

Back to the Future: Why Alberta needs more pioneer-style collective action and less American-style conservative ideology. Job loss; declining quality and accessibility of public services; environmental impact of development; and cut throat competition from abroad are the kinds of challenges Alberta faces as it moves into the second decade of the 21st century. Will we be able to maintain our prosperity and quality of life in the face of these challenges? Will we adapt, innovate and develop better ways to support each other and our communities? Or will we see more and more of our neighbours tossed to the curb as the newly “globalized” economy picks winners and losers? Alberta Federation of Labour president Gil McGowan will argue Alberta has the tools it needs to deal successfully with the challenges facing the province; all that's missing is political vision and political will. McGowan believes that it's time to reject American-inspired free-market conservatism that has dominated Alberta's political and policy landscape since the beginning of the so-called Klein Revolution. Instead, Albertans should embrace an updated version of progressive and community based populism that helped our province's earliest settlers build thriving communities in an often inhospitable landscape. Speaker: Gil McGowan Gil McGowan is serving his third term as the elected president of the Alberta Federation of Labour, Alberta's largest union advocacy organization representing more than 140,000 workers from 27 unions in both the public and private sectors. He also serves as a board member for Friends of Medicare and the University of Alberta's Parkland Institute. Under McGowan's leadership, the AFL has been successful in moving a number of work-related issues to the centre of public debate in Alberta, including: workplace health and safety; the use (and abuse) of temporary foreign workers; and the increasing loss of oil sands jobs as the result of raw bitumen exports. As well, McGowan played an important role in campaigns to increase the provincial minimum wage and to stop the introduction of former Premier Ralph Klein's controversial Third Way plan for health care.
