POPULARITY
Nawet amator ceni sobie komfort i wydajność pedałowania. Czy można go zrobić samodzielnie? Czy bikefitting zmniejsza ryzyko kontuzji? Czym różni się bikefitting w różnych dyscyplinach kolarstwa? …oraz wiele innych Wraz z moimi gośćmi czynimy starania, aby popularyzować wiedzę związaną z utrzymaniem zdrowia, sprawności i pełni możliwości psychofizycznych naszego ciała. Today on the podcast, I (Amanda) discuss my recent experience racing the 70.3 (otherwise known as a Half Ironman) in Cairns, Queensland. The race involved a 1.9km swim, a 90km bike ride and a 21km run. I talk about my lead up to the event including my training, my gear and some of the set backs I encountered, my week before the race and the actual race itself. I mention some of the amazing people I crossed paths with and chat about triathlon generally.
Today on the Cycling Time trial podcast we welcome back Heath Dotson. Heath lives in Asheville, NC and previously joined us when we were discussing saddles. I am really glad to have Heath back to talk about much more fun topics. Heath raced full time as a Category 1 cyclist for nearly 12 years, he raced several seasons for different elite teams including spending a year racing for a team in Europe. He also helped found the Cane Creek/Subaru Elite team based out of Asheville, NC. During his tenure as rider, director and manager, the team became one of the top elite teams in the Southeast US and successfully campaigned internationally as well. Heath was also a Masters National Pursuit Champion and a World Team Pursuit Silver medalist. Heath was forced out of top level cycling due to an injury and he then turned his competitive nature to triathlon although he does still compete at regional cycling events. Heath is now a professional coach after founding HD (High Definition) Coaching and you can find out more at HDCoaching.net. Heath also founded AeroCamp, which incorporates everything every obsessed time trialist thinks about on a continual basis to include testing (and more testing) equipment and fit. Welcome back Heath Dotson!
I continue the IRONMAN© Chattanooga 70.3 series with a friend I met on course prior to the start of the race. He talks about first how he is just truly grateful to even compete after a very interesting day in 2013 at IRONMAN© Cozumel. After that race, his entire perspective on racing and training morphed into a more humble and safety oriented way of doing things. He talks about his training going into the race with the help of his coach. Bret mentions how he is a member of BASE Performance and uses their products to train and race with. He will be recovering shortly and then ramping back up for IRONMAN© Louisville later this year in October. -Enjoy the show.
