Fergus Walkinshaw and John Kane met while on a road rally. Both had a passion for fast cars and Jaguars. Fergus's link to the marque is obvious. His father was Tom Walkinshaw, the man behind TWR and JaguarSport. The man who took Jaguar to victory at Daytona, then Le Mans in 1988 and 1990, built the XJ220 and XJR-15 and ran the Group C programme successfully for Jaguar, taking the brand to World Sportscar Championship status. Before all that - TWR revived ailing XJ-S sales in the early '80s by making the wafty big GT do things nobody could have imagined, like winning the Spa 24 Hours and Bathurst. TWR also created a line of XJ-S specials with body kits, performance upgrades, and bespoke interior accessories. These later morphed into an official collaboration with Jaguar under the ‘JaguarSport' banner – resulting in the XJR-S and XJ40-based original XJR. Fast-forward to 2024, the 40th anniversary of TWR's winning the European Touring Car Championship with the XJ-S. The TWR name has once again become synonymous with 'off the peg' XJ-Ss with mind-bending performance and styling. Similarly, just as in 1984, the XJ-S has fallen off the radar somewhat in recent years. While values had grown steadily, the market has seemed to stop and plateau more recently. Moreover, a new generation of 'retro car' enthusiasts seems more obsessed with Porsche 'resto-mods' than with anything from Coventry. Car websites and social media channels are full of them, which is significant—as we will get to in a moment. Fergus Walkinshaw and John Kane embarked on this exciting journey together to shake things up in the 'resto-mod' market and get the Jaguar name back out there amongst newer generations of fans. The results of that journey are frankly staggering!

Alex sits down with Randy, Zac, and Howard to discuss cars they need to see (or see again) before their inevitable (but let us hope distant) demise; registration slips as keepsakes; makes or models that they've never managed to put eyes on; a theoretical invite to use an Amphicar for its intended purpose; the abandoned cars of Dubai and Detroit; breathtaking finds in museums; the likelihood of the Sultan of Brunei and Sergio Perez being BaT Podcast listeners; dirt track dreams; when it's better to drive than to own; anticipation for the upcoming F1 season, starting with podium position 2; defunct American street circuits; the innate luxury of a '32 Ford hot rod; one (1) dad joke; strong opinions on the XJ220; and the humdrum inanity of driving a borrowed 250 SWB as a teenager. The Jaguar F-Type is unquestionably one of the most exciting cars to leave Jaguar's workshop in decades. Maybe dwarfed by the absurd XJ220, the F-Type took inspiration from legendary two-seat Jaguars of yore and brought them into the modern age. Debuting in 2013, Jaguar's F-Type has had a solid decade in the company's lineup. Making the F-Type even more interesting, Jaguar made it home to its absurd, supercharged V8. While the F-Type was interesting, and recently saw a styling refresh, it's going offline after 2024. Celebrating the F-Type, Jaguar gave this model a special 75th-anniversary package dubbed R 75. Formally named the 2024 Jaguar F-Type P575 R 75, you can rightfully decode that this Jag packs the potent 575 hp version of its supercharged V8 under the hood. That power travels through an eight-speed automatic to a four-wheel drive system. On this episode of Quick Spin, Autoweek executive editor Tom Murphy hops behind the wheel of the '24 Jaguar F-Type P575 R 75 and puts it through its paces. Murphy takes you on a guided tour of this F-Type and highlights some of his favorite features. Murphy later takes you along for a live drive review. Adding to these segments, Murphy chats with host Wesley Wren about this snarling Jaguar. The pair talk about the F-Type's run, the car's inspiration, and how it sits in the market amid shrinking competition. Closing the show, the pair break down what makes this Jaguar special.
Ever heard a motoring journalist hum Abba? Ever wondered what a Dodge Charger Hellcat is really like? Ever needed to pass an hour with no effort at all? If the answer is yes to any of those, try the latest Car-Chum podcasts. Tony and Mike crank out a few of the cars they've yet to drive. Horsepower and horsing around: it's the usual Car-Chum Podcast fayre.
Alex and Tucker briefly recap the Azerbaijan GP, discuss the potentially disappointing Mercedes-AMG Project One, and the effect of the crypto crash on the collector car market.

John Temerian is the CEO of a vintage exotic car dealership has the life story to back it up. He runs Curated, a Miami-based dealership that buys and sells investment quality “blue chip” cars. Think classic exotics like Countach, Miura, CLK GTR, XJ220, Bugatti EB110s, etc. John has owned, bought, and sold, hundreds of cars and his knowledge runs deep. He has great insight, stories, and a love of cars that is infectious. We go back to his youth when his dad decided to sell Lamborghinis, took him for a ride in a RUF, and couldn't understand why John liked Renntech Mercedes.@wearecuratedhttps://wearecurated.com/ **Note: John's mic was having a small issue during the show so you may hear some soft clicks throughout. The Ferrari's, the Lambo's and a great many other things with Turbo's, V12 and impractical doors. We delve into some nostalgia, whilst also having a look back at some of these cars and seeing if any of them were actually good.Viper's, XJ220's, Countach's and a great many things in between covered so don't miss out on some 80's and 90's ridiculousness!
In this episode Chris Worthington, Steve Erickson and Matt Wilsher delve into Core Designs and some of their games, without hardly mentioning Tomb Raider.
