Welcome to Episode 42! This week, Imran shares his thoughts on two hybrids he drove recently: the 2024 Dodge Hornet R/T PHEV, and the 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid. One is far too expensive for its own good, and the other is arguably the sweet spot of the lineup. Care to guess which is which? Plus, Rush is soaking up the sun this week with the 2024 Jaguar F-Type P575 convertible. Cats really do have nine lives, because Jaguar keeps saying this'll be the "last" F-Type on the local press fleet, but we ain't complaining. A loud V8 and a roof that disappears at the touch of a button is always a recipe for a good time. As for Nathan ... oh yeah, he couldn't make it this week. So, Adi popped in to try and make sense of Nick's recent obsession with Lexus IS Fs. Is jumping from an E39 M5 to an IS F as a daily driver a downgrade? Enjoy the show? This week, on the Driven Podcast, John Marcar and Miles Lacey visit CALLUM in Warwick and meet car design royalty Ian Callum CBE and Aleck Jones.Ian Callum is likely to be a name that needs no introduction thanks to his frankly marvellous portfolio of car designs, including the Ford Puma, Aston Martin DB7, Aston Martin Vanquish, Jaguar F-Type, Jaguar iPace, and the Nissan R390 Le Mans Car (to mention just a tiny handful!).Aleck Jones is the head of design for CALLUM working directly with Ian. Ian, Aleck, Miles and John discuss the CALLUM business and work through the many products, projects and creations that are now finding their way onto driveways, roads and inside houses, too. _______________________________________________The Driven Podcast brings you motoring-focused discussions, observations from the automotive world, and interviews in which we explore our guests' careers, exploits, and anything else worth discussing. We will also keep you up to speed with the latest automotive news stories and insights into the cars and motorcycles we're reviewing at Driven. The guys have returned from their short hiatus to give you even more great content and car conversations. This weeks episode starts off following Benjamin's recent drive of the 2024 Jaguar F-Type R 75, a celebration of the British automaker's great history of sports cars. Benjamin takes a cruise down Memory Ln. to talk about the F-Type and its impact on the brand, as well as how the rest of the sports car world looked when it first debuted compared to where we are now. Plus we get some more insight into his personal, (or is that questionable?) automotive tastes. Then Sami, noted Outback enthusiast and serial owner, talks about the 2024 Subaru Outback Onyx Edition, which he isn't recommending to new car shoppers. He lists why, and the guys go on their own journey to find acceptable Outback alternatives. Finally the pair discuss some news from Ford about the brand cutting a much loved/maligned feature from their future cars. The Jaguar F-Type is unquestionably one of the most exciting cars to leave Jaguar's workshop in decades. Maybe dwarfed by the absurd XJ220, the F-Type took inspiration from legendary two-seat Jaguars of yore and brought them into the modern age. Debuting in 2013, Jaguar's F-Type has had a solid decade in the company's lineup. Making the F-Type even more interesting, Jaguar made it home to its absurd, supercharged V8. While the F-Type was interesting, and recently saw a styling refresh, it's going offline after 2024. Celebrating the F-Type, Jaguar gave this model a special 75th-anniversary package dubbed R 75. Formally named the 2024 Jaguar F-Type P575 R 75, you can rightfully decode that this Jag packs the potent 575 hp version of its supercharged V8 under the hood. That power travels through an eight-speed automatic to a four-wheel drive system. On this episode of Quick Spin, Autoweek executive editor Tom Murphy hops behind the wheel of the '24 Jaguar F-Type P575 R 75 and puts it through its paces. Murphy takes you on a guided tour of this F-Type and highlights some of his favorite features. Murphy later takes you along for a live drive review. Adding to these segments, Murphy chats with host Wesley Wren about this snarling Jaguar. The pair talk about the F-Type's run, the car's inspiration, and how it sits in the market amid shrinking competition. Closing the show, the pair break down what makes this Jaguar special.

Jaguar started its big crossover push in 2016 with the launch of its F-Pace. Considering the luxury crossover space is full of brute 'utes, it only makes sense that Jaguar found another home for its 5.0-liter supercharged V8. Even though this Jag made its first appearance nearly a decade ago, the team behind it gave it a serious update for 2021. While the Jaguar F-Type is scheduled to see the end of the line next year, this F-Pace moves along with the 5.0-liter still under its hood. While the supercharged 5.0-liter is the star of the F-Pace's show, it's not the only upgrade. The F-Pace SVR also receives a special SVR body kit, quad exhaust tips, and revised suspension tuning to take advantage of the supercharged V8. On this episode of Quick Spin, Autoweek's Patrick Carone hops behind the wheel of the '24 Jaguar F-Pace SVR and puts it through its pace. Carone takes you on a guided tour of the F-Pace SVR and highlights some of his favorite features. Later, Carone takes you along for a live drive review where he shares his experiences with this Jag in real-time. Carone also chats with host Wesley Wren about the Jaguar F-Pace SVR, where it sits among the competition, and more. Closing the show, the pair breaks down what makes the 2024 Jaguar F-Pace SVR special.
Welcome to Episode 6! This week, the crew has a pretty sweet lineup of sheetmetal in the garage. Rush is in the base, six-speed-manual Mini Cooper, which surprised us all by capturing the spirit of the original Mini quite well. Plus, we finally see what the fuss is all about with the six-speed manual Toyota Supra — spoiler alert, it's great — and meet their heroes thanks to something special from Mazda Canada's Heritage Fleet. And last but not least, because goodbyes aren't easy, the team bids farewell to the Jaguar F-Type. Goodnight, sweet prince. Enjoy the show?
The weather is warming up and that means its time to talk about some fun summer cars and topics! If you're asking "What does that mean?" then consider this week's episode as a primer. First up, Benjamin revisits the 2023 Toyota GR Supra, but this time its equipped with a six-speed manual transmission. After a lukewarm reception a few years ago, Benjamin finds out if the three-pedalled variant changes things for the better, and whether the Supra is in a precarious position due to its pricing and performance. Then Sami chimes in with some sports-car stories of his own, describing his time in the 2024 Jaguar F-Type 75. A celebration of Jaguar's coupe and convertible, this model boasts plenty of power, but carries around the British brands legacy. Our hosts talk about what that means, and how the brand will continue without a two-door in the road map. Then Benjamin has some news to share about his Grand Wagoneer. Having used it as a tow vehicle for his Datsun, he experiences the ups and downs of using an older vehicle for heavy-duty work. Be sure to visit the website, send us your comments, and check out Benjamin's kickstarter for his cool new book!

Jaguar famously leaned into their bad-boy reputation with the "Good to be Bad" advertising campaign featuring famous British movie villains shilling for the new F-Type. Each time we achieve a goal, we set two new ones. The race to accumulating wealth and the drive to win becomes fiercer every day.
