Courtney talks to me about answering the late-night call from God to start The Pearl House Academy and The Pearl House Career Center in Ghana in 2013. The Pearl House provides physical care, emotional support, spiritual development, and academic and vocational opportunities. They “empower girls their unique identity and purpose in Christ.” In addition, Esombo is part of The Pearl House in which women design, create, and sell jewelry and a line of hand-sewn bags and masks.
