In Landover, Maryland furloughed federal workers line up for food assistance in a queue that stretches down the street and around the block. The Trump administration is claiming they do not have authority to fund SNAP amidst the shutdown, which is proven to be a lie. Zohran Mamdani, AOC and Bernie Sanders held a rally in Queens, New York on Sunday Night packing out Forrest Hills Stadium with over 13,000 people. AOC delivers remarks over the immigrants, freeman, and suffragists that built New York and they are the ones that will determine our future. Zohran gives all credit to Bernie Sanders for teaching Zohran the language of democratic Socialism. Emma Vigeland asks Zohran if he believes that a large win in the mayoral race would provide him with leverage with Albany since Hochul is up for reelection in 2026. Hochul speaks at the rally and is drowned out by "Tax the Rich" chants. The next day Hochul claims to have thought the crowd was cheering "Let's Go Bills" In the Fun Half: Another patriot humiliates ICE agents in a beautiful rant after they harassed him at 26 Federal Plaza in New York. Pete Hegseth does not dispute rumors that the Trump Administration is planning on deploying the National Guard in all 50 states in 2026. On Fox News Stephen Miller tells ICE officers that they have federal immunity to do whatever they have to do to perform their duties. Many small businesses are panicked because they didn't believe it would actually happen.A History Lesson in Compliance: The discussion traces the evolution from DFARS 7012 to DFARS 7019, which introduced NIST 800-171 controls and the PoAM (Program of Action and Milestones) system. CMMC was created to replace the unreliable self-attestation and perpetual PoAMs.CMMC 2.0 Levels and Requirements:Level 1 (FCI): For Federal Contract Information (FCI) only. Requires 15 controls and allows for self-assessment by a senior company representative.Level 2 (CUI): For Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). Requires all 110 NIST 800-171 controls and 320 objectives. Self-attestation is allowed for the first 12 months, but prime contractors (like Lockheed or Boeing) can still demand 3CPAO certification immediately.Understanding CUI: CUI (Controlled Unclassified Information) is a major gray area often defined differently by each government customer. Scotty Smalls moves to the San Fernando Valley with his mom and stepdad, Bill. He doesn't have any friends, so he asks Bill to teach him how to play baseball. Bill puts his prized possession on the mantel—a signed Babe Ruth baseball.The next day, Scotty runs to the nearby baseball field to see if he can make some friends. A fly ball comes right to him, and it doesn't go well. As he fumbles for the ball, he's terrified by this… Beast… on the other side of the fence. The kids give him a hard time for not knowing how to throw or catch. Scotty goes home, asks Bill to teach him again, and ends up with a black eye.The next day, despite the other kids not wanting him to play, the team's best player, Benny, says they should give him a shot because they need a full team. Benny teaches him to throw and catch, and soon Scotty starts to fit in.One day, Ham smacks a home run into the Beast's yard. When Smalls asks about the Beast, the boys hold a sleepover and share the legend of the terrifying dog who lives beyond the fence.The boys become best friends and do best friend stuff—like hanging out at the pool and celebrating the Fourth of July. But at the end of the day, it all comes back to baseball.One afternoon, Benny absolutely crushes their only ball. With Bill out of town, Smalls thinks he's got the solution: he'll grab the one from the mantel. What Smalls doesn't realize is that the ball is signed by Babe Ruth. When he hits his first home run with it, he proudly tells the guys it was signed by “some girl named Ruth.” They freak out once they realize what he's done.The boys quickly forge Babe Ruth's signature on a new ball as a temporary replacement while they try to get the real one back. But the Beast doesn't make it easy.After a dream where Babe Ruth himself tells Benny about being a legend, Benny decides to take matters into his own hands. He hops the fence. The dog—who turns out to just be a big, playful pup—chases Benny all around town. Eventually, Benny makes it back, but the Beast crashes through the fence and gets stuck. Scotty and Benny free him, and the dog gratefully licks Smalls' face before leading them to his stash of baseballs.The boys meet Mr. Mertle, the Beast's owner, and are shocked to learn that he knew Babe Ruth personally. Mr. Mertle gives Smalls a ball signed by the entire 1927 Yankees in exchange for weekly baseball chats.The gang eventually grows up and goes their separate ways. Smalls? He's revealed to be the sports commentator from the beginning, still best friends with Benny, who goes on to play for the Dodgers. On the morning of October 12, 2013, 23-year-old Army veteran Christian Griggs went to his in-laws' property in Angier, North Carolina to pick up his young daughter, Jaden. At 10:54 a.m., he called his father Tony to say that his father-in-law, Reverend Pat Chisenhall, was yelling at him while his estranged wife Katie hid inside the house. Six minutes later, at 11:00 a.m., Tony arrived at the Chisenhall home to find his son lying face-down, bleeding and unresponsive. Pat had shot him six times with a .22 rifle. Once in the abdomen, once on the top of his left shoulder, and four times in the back. Christian was rushed to the hospital, where he was soon pronounced dead. As his family struggled to process the sudden loss, detectives began piecing together what had happened that fateful morning.
