Text/Voicemail: 815-714-9044 Here's the link if you're looking for some holiday fun with an at-home wine tasting! Try wines they send to you, or learn more about the wine you have at home already. They set you up with a Zoom link and teach you all there is to know about each sample of wine. They even provide snack ideas. Not a sponsor of the show, I just thought it might be a great idea for the next couple of weeks when families are or aren't getting together: CouchandCork.com Russell Westbrook is headed to Washington for John Wall and a first-round draft pick. Ryan gives his two cents and explains that this is pretty much the same player being traded style wise. Josh thinks the Houston Rockets actually won the trade because of the pick. Is Michigan football waiving the white flag so they don't have to play Ohio State? It could ruin OSU's playoff chances, but relax, let's all calm down. Baltimore Orioles fans are upset with their team's moves today; non tendering Alberto, trading Jose Iglesias, and signing White Sox legend Yolmer Sanchez. The Cubs and Sox both made adjustments as well, Kyle Schwarber, Carlos Rodon, Albert Almora, and Nomar Mazara are all free agents now. We weighed in and gave our two cents about all of them. Adam Duval was non tendered by the Atlanta Braves in a surprising move as well. Text/Voicemail: 815-714-9044 The Chicago Bears need to just tear it down and start over. Honestly, Green Bay Packers fans were right in everything they said during the live tweet session during Sunday Night Football. NFL Week 12 notes including the Denver Broncos comical quarterback situation. Steelers-Ravens constantly being moved is another failure byt he NFL to understand the ramifications of all of the teams that have breaking the rules. Moving the Super Bowl is not an option. Fantasy football is so hard right now, so kudos to anyone with a winning record. We ended the show with trashing the Chicago Bears. Look, it just didn't work. Fire everyone and start over. It's time to start fresh and yes, that means selling off assets. Being a Bears fan right now is the worst feeling ever. Ryan has a different angle on the interview process for the former Cardinals' manager, while Josh is going to flip the table if this manager role goes to the 76 year old has-been. Do you think Don Cooper will get another job somewhere? Football was the next discussion, as the Titans won and are still playing victum after beating the Buffalo Bills, who should be worried about their defense because it's been bad. We got into COVID19 talk again because one of us thinks that enough is enough in the football community. How many schedule changes, positive tests, and limbo acts will we have until they admit this was a bad idea? Le'Veon Bell is free to talk to teams and we both hope the Bears are at the front of the line. However, Josh had to stick up for David Montgomery because his slander will not be welcome here. We flipped the show around for tonight's edition. Starting with the Chicago White Sox parting ways with not only Ricky Renteria but Don Cooper. The page has officially turned on the south side and it's time to find someone who can lead this team in the playoffs. We discussed all about the Sox moving forward and how the optimism is higher every day. Gears changed as we brought up the Chicago Blackhawks. Listen, understandably so, the glory days are behind this franchise, but there's no sense of direction and Stan Bowman continues to dumpster dive in order to fill this roster. Admit it, it's over. The fact that Jonathan Toews and the rest of the core didn't get informed as to what was going on is a joke. Also, Jeremy Colliton behind the bench helps nothing and hurts everything. We moved on to talk about the NFLs biggest headlines from Week 5. Dak Prescott's injury was terrible. Leave Tony Dungy alone, man. Yes, he phrased what he said the wrong way, but understand what he meant. The Cleveland Browns are officially good. Are the Kansas City Chiefs in trouble? Are they frauds? Russell Wilson has to be the early favorite for the league's MVP, right? There are som names that give him a run for his money. The show wrapped up with MLB Postseason talk with a little bit of Rays-Astros talk and Dodgers-Braves. We bring up a ton of questions we have for the league while we understand that they really don't want to dive into this PR stunt that would be cancelling the Titans' season. It's also another week where fantasy football players have to really strategize their lineups to be covid-proof. We then talked about the MLB playoffs as the Atlanta Braves moved on along with the Houston Astros. We know Oakland wasn't good, but you have to give the Astros credit now. The Braves have four shutouts this postseason which is wild. The Yankees hold off the Rays for one more day and the Dodgers try to finish it off, but the Padres wil win a game according to Ryan. NBA Finals Game 5 is tonight between the Miami Heat and Los Angeles Lakers. Will LA finish the job tonight? We both actually think the Heat will extend this series to a Game 6. Here's to hoping Lebron James stays on the damn floor. After the break, we dove into the Chicago Blackhawks happenings. They wrapped up the NHL Draft with forward-heavy selections, but the big news is that Corey Crawford will not return in a Hawks uniform in 2021. Does this mean rebuild? Kevin Lankenen and Colin Delia seem to be the duo between the pipes now. Look, this says a lot about SVP Stan Bowman, while we may not like the decision, it's actually a smar t one if the numbers come out and they don't fit. Leave a voicemail, get entered to win a jersey of your choice: 815-714-9044 To begin, we cancelled the Tennessee Titans because their inability to follow simple directions has resulted in a mockery of the NFL. At this point, whoever had the idea to go practice, first of all, when they weren't supposed to, at a high school when kids were actually there…that person needs to immediately lose their job. Roger Goodell has to drop the hammer on this because if he doesn't, he's simply rewarding bad behavior. We quickly discussed the MLB Postseason and continue to think the Dodgers are pretty unstoppable. We had to laugh, though, at the San Diego Padres' lack of bullpen management. Oh, and the Oakland Athletics, despite winning a game, are still frauds. We then previewed the Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Chicago Bears game and tried so hard to be optimistic. The truth is, the Bears have such an issue on the offensive side of the ball, and I'm personally not ready to give them any sort of credit until they show that they can beat above-average teams. We both picked them to lose this week. We ended the show with a fun game where we choose a league, and then name a bunch of teams that the other person had to say the most random player he could think of from that team. Quickly running around the NFL after Week 4: The Houston Texans are free. The Cleveland Browns are for real…or are the Cowboys just terrible at defense? New England sucks without Cam Newton…go figure. Plus other notes. Russell Westbrook left an $8,000 tip for the hotel cleaning crew in the NBA bubble. The MLB Postseason continues to roll on. With their upcoming series against the Tampa Bay Rays, I had to ask him about his expectations about the upcoming best-of-five with a team who had the Yanks' number this season. I also asked him about what his thoughts were going into the Cleveland series, which saw the New York offense flourish against the American League's Cy Young favorite Shane Bieber. Hopes are high for the Yankees and their fans. Despite the Rays having a 9-2 record in the season series, this one could be over quick according to Eric and myself. The Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks were as well. It'll be interesting to see how they handle their protocol in their nine-week schedule. 12:20: Los Angeles Chargers' quarterback Justin Herbert was wildly disrespected by his head coach and that's such BS that we had to bring it up. How can you not give him a chance after what he did against the Chiefs? Herbert will be the starting quarterback by the end of the 2020 season. 14:10: The Los Angeles Lakers are probably going to sweep the Denver Nuggets, but if they don't and Denver makes it a 3-1 series…watch out because we all know how that goes. 18:00: The Chicago Bulls finally have their guy in Billy Donovan as head coach. If you look at the five years he spent with the Oklahoma City Thunder, he was almost 100 games over .500 and made the playoffs every single year. This is a great fit for them and hopefully he carries a winning attitude over to Chicago. 26:35: The Chicago White Sox are slumping so hard right now it's actually making us nauseous. Pete texted in about the Giannis-Milwaukee debacle because they're now down 3-1 to the Miami Heat. He wanted to know our thoughts on if Giannis was going to stay on the Bucks after next season and if not, who do we think he goes to? Again, we appreciate everyone participating in this week's episode.
